Israeli Frustration With Obama Reaching Boiling Point

Israeli Frustration With Obama Reaching Boiling Point

Thursday, July 31, 2014 |  Ryan Jones   ISRAEL TODAY
“Obama is a fool, and Kerry is an idiot.” “The Americans’ behavior has angered not only Israel, but all moderate forces in the region.” “There is no other way to describe [American dealings] than as a perversion of morality and diplomacy.”
Those were some of the nicer things one could hear Israelis muttering about the American leadership this week.
At first, Israelis were frustrated by inequitable American ceasefire demands and proposals that they at first believed were designed to protect Washington’s interests in the region and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
But then senior Democratic officials began commenting to the media, and the depths of the administration’s incompetence as regards Hamas and the threat Israel is facing became clear.
First, Secretary of State John Kerry presented a ceasefire proposal that even the most dovish members of Israel’s coalition could not endorse. From wall-to-wall, Kerry’s plan was rejected for having the audacity to treat Hamas as an equal negotiating partner.
Then a transcript of President Barack Obama’s follow-up call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is leaked to the press. Israelis were stunned by Obama’s tone as he demanded Israel implement an immediate, unconditional ceasefire. The president said he was certain Hamas would respond in kind.
Washington later denied that the transcript was authentic, but Israeli journalists with connections in the US capital insisted it was. The Israeli government later issued its own denial, which precisely mirrored that of the Americans, and in so doing appeared to confirm the opposite. It was as though the Israeli government was saying, “Look, we are saying what we were told to say. Can’t you feel the sincerity?”
And then the Americans started really getting stupid.
Former Secretary of State (and possible future presidential hopeful) seemingly defended Hamas’ vile tactics by suggesting the Islamists only placed their weapons next to, inside and underneath civilian facilities because Gaza is so small and there was nowhere else to store and from which to launch their weapons of war.
Never mind that Clinton’s own husband, former President Bill Clinton, oversaw the signing of the so-called “Oslo Accords,” which 20 years ago demanded the demilitarization of Gaza. It doesn’t matter that Hamas can’t find room for its missiles, because those missiles aren’t even supposed to be there.
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi also chimed in, leaving not a few Israelis to wonder if this senior American government official has any clue whatsoever about what is happening in the Middle East.
Pelosi tried to play dumb when confronted by the reality of Hamas aggression and brutality by insisting that Qatar had “told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization.”
Obama and Kerry made a similar blunder when they sought out Qatar and Turkey, instead of Israel and Egypt, to help them draft a Gaza ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Hamas itself is making the Obama Administration look the fool.
“Our doctrine in fighting you (the Jews) is that we will totally exterminate you. We will not leave a single one of you alive,” said a Gaza-based imam in a sermon broadcast on Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV this week.
Such remarks by Hamas officials and affiliated clerics are commonplace and publicly available to anyone who takes a mere 30 seconds to look into the group’s ideology, raison d’être and regular pronouncements.
Hamas is not even trying to hide its true face.
And Israelis are growing increasingly irritated with an American administration that tries to make Hamas and other enemies out to be something even they admit they aren’t.

Moving Out But not Sure Where You're Going? by Kathie Walters

Moving Out But not Sure Where You're Going?

by Kathie Walters

Identity Network

Have you left something? And you are moving on, but not sure where you are going?
Well so sorry but there is nowhere to land. You have to keep flying in faith. You have to "wing it."  We have all been in a situation where as we were led by the Spirit we have "been out on a limb." I know that's a bit scary, but you know you can always turn around and go back. Suddenly you hear the sound of a saw behind  you….ooooh the door to going back closed. Well the swift angels are around too and guess what - when the swift (bird) takes off they cannot again land on the ground.
About a month ago, I thought I was seeing things! When I looked at certain people I would see these small birds swirling above their heads - they were Swifts. No one told me that, but I knew in my spirit that that is what they were. There are things I don't know about Swifts, but I do know they can fly very fast (up to 70mph and more) and fly high and never touch the ground voluntarily. They fly at around 20,000 feet. If they land on the earth they cannot take off again
They sleep on the wing, eat and drink on the wing, and even mate on the wing. When they come to nest it's always in high places.  On a side note, the most famous and oldest nesting place is the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Last count there were 88 pairs of Swifts on the wall and circling over Jerusalem. They just recently came back and they return the same day every year.
Then I began to see Swift-like angels moving very quickly among people.
Always Be Available and Ready to Go
I am always talking about being available and ready to go. Along these lines, I tell people about the angel from New Zealand who is always in my meetings there. He came to my house and sang to me the entire song from Aladdin, "A Whole New World." The song starts out with an invitation. Aladdin says to the Princess Jasmine, "Do you trust me?" and he holds out his hand to her. He takes her on a carpet ride and she gets a whole new perspective on everything. I hope you will take the opportunity to listen to that song.
When the angel sang that song, He said to me, "Kathie, there is a whole new world for you if you will believe it and receive it." I accepted that and thought that was easy until ten minutes later a Pastor friend of mine in Singapore texted me and asked me to "Come and help train some pastors." "No problem," I thought, as I love Singapore. I texted a reply, "I will be there." Five minutes later he texted back and said, "Oh, I'm not in Singapore. I'm in Siberia." I was a bit alarmed when I heard that and really hoped he would forget all about it. But six months later I found myself in Siberia!
Siberia was very oppressive, but a Siberian angel got on the plane when it pulled into the gate and started to push myself and my friend DeAnn around the plane. He told us to "lighten up." We started to laugh hysterically. We couldn't stand up because he was pushing us around. The Siberian flight attendant came down the aisle and told us, "There is a light over you." "Oh great," we said, "it's from the church in the sky." He looked at us as we looked out of the window. "No, no," he said, "the church is in the sky not out of the window." We were drunk in the Spirit by then.
When we got inside the airport, it was even more oppressive. We tried to be quiet and behave "properly" as we didn't want to get arrested. But it didn't work. The angel started pushing us around again. "Lighten up," he said, and he started laughing.
My, my, we do have such religious concepts about angels, don't we?
We tried to straighten up, but he kept pushing us and we started laughing and laughing. We thought the security people were going to get annoyed, but guess what? They started laughing and getting drunk in the Spirit. The man couldn't stamp my passport because he was falling off the chair. The supervisor came running out to see what all the commotion was about. He touched my back as he squeezed past me and he began to get drunk in the Spirit, too.
We couldn't speak Russian and they couldn't speak English except to say "Passport" and "Visa," but after a while they were holding their hands to their mouths and pointing. There was an English guy standing there and I asked him if he knew what they were saying. "Yes," he said, "they are saying they can taste honey in their mouth."
The Lord spoke to me and said, "Yes, and the next time someone does witness to them about Jesus, they will have a good taste in their mouth." I knew that they would have the same taste of honey and would know it was a good and pleasant thing they were hearing.
Are You Ready?
Well, back to the swift angels. Are you ready to go? We all say yes, but for some people it's time to say "goodbye" and for others it's time to say "hello." Doors open and close. Windows of opportunity open, but we have to take those opportunities. It's time to take off. I have a feeling there are people reading this who have taken off before but somehow got "grounded." God is the Author of taking off. He enables you to fly, but we have to respond to His invitation.
See what God sees for you. He sees the whole picture...huge. It's amazing what you can do in only a week or two when the Holy Spirit is moving and the angels help you. The angels are very interested in helping you fulfill the purposes of God in your life. That's what their assignment is - YOU are their assignment.
Are you ready to fly? This is a bit different from the eagle anointing - it's an anointing to move swiftly - and high - and fast.
I have a good friend who says God always pushes him, but that's not true, really. God doesn't push you against your will. Sometimes our mindsets get in the way, but the heart really wants to embrace the purposes of God, so God sends angels to push us past our mindsets. A hungry heart will always push you past your mind in the end.
We only have one life to live down here, so it might as well be an adventure. Better to make a few mistakes then never do anything. If you don't ever want to make a mistake, don't do anything - that's simple, isn't it?
Only Be Willing - God is the One Who is Able
A couple of years ago, some friends on the Gold Coast of Australia told me after a meeting, "We are going to take the next opportunity God gives us." So I asked, "Well, why don't you come with me to Hawaii?" "When are you going?" they inquired. "Tomorrow," I responded.
They weren't on the plane with me the next day, but a couple of days later they were in Hawaii. They helped me for a few days, and on Sunday they preached. Doors opened all over the place and they stayed and ministered in Hawaii for several months.
You just have to be willing and prepared to get ready swiftly. God is the One Who is able. It doesn't matter how old you are! Twenty or ninety? God is raising up an army of wild grandmas, remember.

Israeli Christian Spokesman: Enough With Western Hypocrisy!

Israeli Christian Spokesman: Enough With Western Hypocrisy!

Wednesday, July 30, 2014 |  Israel Today Staff
Yesterday, we reported on a demonstration by Israeli Christians in solidarity with their persecuted Christian brothers and sisters in Iraq, and in support of the Israeli army that is now combatting the same type of Muslim extremism in Gaza.
Following the demonstration, the spokesman for the Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum, which advocates young Christians join the IDF and which organized Sunday’s rally, made a powerful plea in an interview with Israel’s Channel One.
“We called this demonstration in response to the ethnic cleansing of Christians in Iraq,” said Shadi Khalloul. “35,000 Christians in Mosul fled a week ago after the Islamic State (formerly ISIS), which shares an ideology with Hamas, issued an ultimatum [against them].”
Khalloul said it is the very height of hypocrisy that the West, which sheds crocodile tears over the horrors faced by Christians in Iraq and Syria, then turns around and condemns Israel for defending its people against the very same horrors.
“It doesn’t matter if you call them Islamic State or Hamas or Hezbollah, it’s all the same,” he insisted. “Enough of the hypocrisy. Get involved where you can, whether that be Iraq or Syria or Lebanon. Intervene militarily and stop the criminal slaughter of Christians. …And get off Israel’s back for defending its citizens, which it does regardless of race or religion.”
Far from criticizing, Khalloul said that “everyone should be thanking the IDF for being the only one to fight this kind of murderous terror.”
Recently, Khalloul and the Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum’s spiritual leader, Father Gabriel Naddaf, have issued appeals in Hebrew for financial support to keep the movement afloat. These Christians are unable to receive funding via traditional sources as most churches abroad oppose their integration with Israel and the Jews.
Israel Today believes that the Forum’s appeal will not fall on barren ground among our readers, many of whom agree that the destiny of all Christians lies in brotherhood with Israel and the Jews.

Why Team Ministry Is Better Than a One-Man Show - J. Lee Grady

Lee Grady in Hungary
Team players: Lee Grady ministered in Debrecen, Hungary, last week with these men from Hungary and Australia. (Photo courtesy of Lee Grady)
Last week I served alongside a team of pastors at a ministry school in Debrecen, Hungary, a city I've visited four times. Even though I don't speak Hungarian (it's one of the most difficult languages on the planet), I had a blast working with my friends Zsolt, Eugene, István, Pál and Attila. We shared meals, worshiped and prayed together and opened our hearts on a deep level—with the help of my interpreter and, on a few occasions, the Google Translate program on my phone.
Nobody tried to be the star as we shared teaching slots during the week. We preferred each other and encouraged each other. And we laughed a lot because we really enjoyed each other's company. Every leader contributed his part—and in the end the students were blessed that their teachers flowed in harmony.
Teamwork is an essential part of God's plan for ministry. In both the Old and New Testaments, we see teams of people working side-by-side to further His kingdom. Moses shared leadership with Aaron and Miriam (see Micah 4:6) and David had a group of "mighty men" who performed valiant deeds under his command. Solomon appointed a team to serve as his deputies, Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem with teams of workers, and Esther's maidens prayed and fasted with her before she saved Israel from genocide.
Jesus loves teams. He gathered a group of hand-picked disciples and then sent them out to minister in pairs (Luke 10:1). He involved them in feeding the multitudes and healing sick people. In the same way, the apostle Paul never traveled anywhere alone, and he always credited the people who helped him. His love for Timothy, Phoebe, Luke, Silvanus, Titus, Priscilla and other team players is an obvious backdrop in his epistles.
So if teamwork is so essential to Christianity, why do we prefer the celebrity model of ministry today? Here are five clear reasons that teamwork is a better approach:
1. Teamwork accomplishes more. Anybody who has ever chopped down a tree with an axe or painted a house knows the job gets done quicker and easier when more people are working. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says: "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor." Ministry leaders are compared to oxen in the Bible, and Jesus said He would place a "yoke" on us when we are called to ministry (see Matt. 11:29). A yoke connects a team of oxen. Jesus never referred to his followers as renegade stallions who run off on their own. He called us to be yoked together with others. You will not achieve as much if you insist on doing everything yourself.
2. Teamwork unlocks people's potential. In a one-man show, a leader performs the up-front job, a few overworked people help in the background, and the crowd watches. Religious spectators are trained to sit—as if they have nothing useful to contribute. Yet the New Testament tells us the Holy Spirit gives every believer certain gifts, and we all are to use these gifts for the common good (1 Cor. 12:7, 11).
In today's megachurch culture, the celebrity pastor looms large on the big screen, and he may even broadcast his message to several satellite congregations. This might effectively reach some people for Jesus, and it might be a short-term solution for growth, but does it encourage every church member to discover his or her potential? The best leaders know how to involve lots of people to reach God's goal.
3. Teamwork encourages healthy relationships. It's easier to do ministry alone. But you will never grow if you do a solo act. When you are part of a team you must deal with competitive attitudes, jealousy, pride, complaints and hurt feelings. This is exactly why Jesus wants us to work together! You will never confront the flaws in your character unless you work with others. They will expose your selfishness, and you will expose theirs. Proverbs 27:17 says: "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." God will use Brother Bothersome and Sister Sandpaper in your life to make you more loving—and more humble!
4. Teamwork prevents scandals. Years ago after televangelist Jim Bakker was released from prison, he admitted that he had surrounded himself with yes men who didn't have the courage to tell him he was making unethical business decisions. Leaders with a one-man-show mentality are in danger of doing incredibly stupid things because they lack accountability. Team ministry encourages transparency, and senior leaders recognize the value of getting honest feedback from their colleagues. You will fail as a leader if you don't have wise counselors who have access to you. Surround yourself with team players and ask them to point out your blind spots!
5. Teamwork keeps us from idolizing men. A well-known pastor in Nigeria was known to record his sermon each week and then send tapes of his message to his pastors throughout the country. The pastors were then expected to stand in their pulpits the following Sunday, play the recorded sermon ... and move their mouths to the words! They had no message of their own. They were simply clones of the "All-Important Man of God."
That may sound silly, but aren't we guilty of similar foolishness when we put leaders on pedestals and idolize their preaching style? The one-man show may have worked in the past, but the emerging generation has zero tolerance for religious phoniness. People today want healthy leaders who know how to share power instead of grabbing or abusing it.

Bill Yount: Urgent Call To Pray For News Anchors!

Bill Yount:
The Elijah List

Bill YountNews anchors will be shaken as they report perilous upcoming world events – some will be shaken overboard!

"Anchors Away!"

I heard the Father say, "I will begin to shake the news media through the perilous events coming upon the earth!" As news anchors are sent to certain locations where devastations and dangerous conditions emerge, there will be those news stations whose anchors will not be able to withstand the stress and pressure of reporting horrendous news day after day.

The word anchor means something that provides stability or security, like an anchor of a ship in the midst of a raging storm. The calmness and stability we have seen, up until now, in our news anchors is about to be highly tested. I sense that what is about to be reported in the very near future will make the bad news of yesterday seem as nothing compared to what is about to follow.

"I Will Begin To Promote Unknown Anchormen and Anchorwomen Into National Media Who Have An 'Anchor' That Holds and Grips the Solid Rock!"

I saw several known anchormen and anchorwomen shaken to the core of their being as they became weary and unable to cope with the stress of their jobs day after day.

I heard the Spirit say, "Anchors away!" The Lord then took me to the book of Acts in chapter 27, verses 22-24, to a life-threatening storm where an "anchorman" named Apostle Paul had received a late "breaking news" report from the angel of God saying (paraphrased), "Fear not, I have good news in the midst of the bad news. I am with you in the midst of the raging storm! Because of you, I will spare the lives of others on your ship!" (Photo via Freeimages)

"News Broadcasting Stations Will Give Way To News Anchors Who Are Being Hoisted Up From Deep Waters By the Hand of the Lord To Be Brought On Board the Battered Ships On the Sea of Life!"

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure. Isaiah 33:6

These anchormen and anchorwomen will come forth from deep waters of the unknown. They will not only report the perilous news but will have the treasures and the riches of Christ inside of them, so that the anointing of God will come right through the radio and television screens as people become convicted by their radiant countenance and peace in the midst of chaos. These anointed news anchors will become spectacles to the world as they are given favor to report of the hope within them.

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Some Upcoming Anointed News Anchors Will Be Given Words of Knowledge On What To Do To Avoid Danger and Disease, And They Report the News Before the News Actually Takes Place!

The favor of the Lord will increase upon these handpicked vessels because of their accuracy in reporting the news before the news actually spreads throughout broadcasting stations, bringing the fear of the Lord and salvation into many lives.

Many will kneel before their televisions receiving Jesus Christ into their lives, with healings and miracles following. Some news anchors will be tagged with Bible names, such as anchorman Daniel or Elijah and anchorwoman Deborah, who speak with such authority that they will predict weather patterns, and at times, change them. (Photo via Pixabay)

We must pray for those who are now connected in the news media. A great shaking is coming upon them. Let's pray they will be shaken into the Kingdom through what is happening on the earth. And pray for the promotion of those whom God is bringing in to report His perspective upon these world events.

When it isn't making any sense down here...it is up there!

"Humility and humor" characterize his ministry as he brings forth a fresh word that is "in season," proclaiming the word of the Lord!

The shofar (or ram's horn) is often used in his meetings, breaking the powers of darkness over regions, churches, and households. The shofar represents God's breath blowing into the nostrils of His people, reviving them and awakening the lost. Many of God's messages, which Bill ministers prophetically, come out of his everyday life with his family and friends.

Crumbling Freedom: Cake Artist Sent to 'Reeducation'

Crumbling Freedom: Cake Artist Sent to 'Reeducation'

LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Imagine being ordered to go against your religious beliefs, and if you refuse, you could be arrested, fined, or sued.

That happened to the Christian owner of a Colorado bakery who now must make wedding cakes for gay couples.

However, the owner is standing his ground and his action is inspiring people around the world.

Discriminating Accusation

The sign on the door reads "Celebrating 20 Years of Great Cakes!" For two decades, Masterpiece Cakeshop has created art in the form of baked goods that keeps customers coming back.

From cookies and cupcakes to signature cakes, Jack Phillips and his daughter Lisa have transformed their bakery into a studio. Phillips said it's all inspired and motivated by his faith in Jesus Christ.

"It's the most important thing that I think about throughout the day. When I wake up, when I go to work, I want to know that what I'm doing is pleasing to Him, that I honor Him and His Word because that's the most important thing," Phillips said.

But Phillips' Christian faith landed him in trouble with the law. His crime: adhering to his biblical belief that marriage is between one man and one woman.

In 2012, a homosexual couple sued the baker after he declined to make a cake to celebrate their marriage. An administrative law judge ruled against him, and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission agreed.

The commission stated Phillips' refusal went against the state's public accommodation law. It requires businesses to serve customers regardless of their sexual orientation.

In a public statement, one member of the Civil Rights Commission said, "I can believe anything I want, but if I'm going to do business here, I'd ought to not discriminate against people."

"I didn't discriminate against anybody," Phillips countered. "Like Nicolle (his attorney) said, I've chosen not to make cakes for same-sex weddings. I told David and Charlie when they came in that I would sell them cookies and brownies and birthday cakes and shower cakes. I just don't do the same-sex wedding cake. So I did not discriminate against them, just that event I've chosen not to participate in."

His attorney Nicolle Martin said the Commission violated his First Amendment rights. She's taken the case to the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Conform to Comply

The Civil Rights Commission's order requires Phillips and his staff tomake cakes for same-sex celebrations if asked.

He must also re-educate his staff about Colorado's Anti-Discrimination Act. Under that law, artists must endorse all views.

The order also requires him to put in place new policies to comply with the Commission's order.

In addition, he will submit quarterly "compliance" reports to the government for two years.

According to Alliance Defending Freedom, the reports must include the number of customers declined a wedding cake or any other product. They must also include why it was declined "so to ensure he has fully eliminated his religious beliefs from his business."

"The government has chosen which message it favors in this case; I think the state has made it very clear," Martin said.

"Jack's First Amendment rights, Jack's freedom to express himself or more importantly, not express himself, must bow to the complainants' message," she said. "And all I can say is what that looks like to me is something very frightening, and that's nothing more than diversity through conformity, and that's not diversity at all," she added.

First Amendment Disappearing?

Phillips' case is one of a handful in which complainants sued private businesses for refusing to accommodate gay couples getting married.

It also helped lead to controversial proposals in several states allowing businesses to decline service based on the religious beliefs of owners.

"This case is not about and it has never been about the young men that came in here almost two years ago asking Jack to design and create their cake," Martin said. "This case has always been about the message that that cake expresses, what that cake communicates."

"It's surprising," Phillips said. "This is not what they taught us in civics class... they could do this to you. They do this in other countries, not here."

"So Jack stands on the First Amendment. In this case, we're going to learn whether the First Amendment has a future in America," Martin said.

In a country founded on freedom of religion and speech, that's a future important to all Americans.

Anti-Semitism in Miami Inspired by Israel-Gaza War? - CBN News

Anti-Semitism in Miami Inspired by Israel-Gaza War?

Miami New Times

The crisis in the Middle East may have triggered anti-Semitic vandalism in Miami this week.
On Monday, police discovered spray-painted swastikas and the word "Hamas" on the pillars of Congregation Torah Ve'emunah, a synagogue in northeast Miami-Dade.
Also, a Jewish family in largely Jewish neighborhood in Miami Beach found their two cars vandalized with the words "Hamas" and "Jew" written on the windows. They made the discovery as they left to attend a service at their synagogue Saturday.
The vehicles were also covered with eggs and smeared with cream cheese.
Authorities are trying to identify who was behind the crimes. At this point, they say it is not clear whether the two crimes are connected.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating both vandalism incidents.
