A Spirit-Led Response to the 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Assassination

DR. STEVE GREENE  CHARISMA NEWS
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated 50 years ago today, in the evening, while standing on a hotel balcony in Memphis, Tennessee.
The night before he was killed, Dr. King spoke at a church in Memphis. He had been receiving death threats for over 10 years but never shied away from public appearances.
"We've got some difficult days ahead, but it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop."
"And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place, but I'm not concerned about that now, I just want to do God's will."
Let us all honor the memory of Dr. King by beginning every day with the strong desire to do God's will. This isn't a day to muddle through and hide in a crowd or a cubicle. This is a day of progress as led by the Holy Spirit.
A memorial plaque was placed at the Lorraine Motel where King was shot. The inscription is from Genesis 37:19-20 (abbreviated):
"They said one to another, Behold, here cometh the dreamer. Let us slay him and we shall see what becomes of his dreams."
So much good has come from the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr.
What will be said of your dreams in 50 years?

Be an Ambassador for Jerusalem - the City of Peace - MK Yehuda Glick and Israel365

Jerusalem of Peace Logo
Dear Friend,

I'm happy to share with you - as a signatory to the Jerusalem Covenant - this newsletter update of our efforts in the Knesset for “Jerusalem of Peace”.  This is the title I've given my Knesset chambers, instead of the standard "MK Yehudah Glick," because  I wanted the name of my office to express what I've been striving for - Jerusalem of Peace.

Since joining the Knesset, we've continued to work tirelessly to increase awareness and visitors to the Temple Mount and are grateful the Temple Mount had a record-breaking number of Jewish visitors over Passover and on Jerusalem Day. Please see the article below.

We just celebrated the 50th anniversary of Israel’s miraculous victory in the Six-Day War when those famous words - “The Temple Mount is in our hands!" - were shouted for the entire world to hear. Unfortunately, the reality of those words is not yet manifest. Only Muslims have full freedom to pray at the holiest site in the world. My goal is to continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Temple Mount is open for worship to all peace-loving people in the world.

In honor of the the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem's re-unification and to show your love and dedication for Jerusalem, please help connect as many as possible to the Biblical city of Peace.

Please Copy and Paste this Link: Sign the Jerusalem Covenant

And share it broadly - on Social Media and through email.

Please send this link to all of your like-minded friends and encourage them to sign the Jerusalem Covenant and share it with others. Together we can to combat the powerful forces working against Jerusalem and Israel today.

With a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem,

Member of Knesset Yehudah Glick

The Most Dangerous Man in the Middle East?

MK Yehudah Glick has a reputation as a radical redheaded rabble-rouser. But, since entering the Knesset, he has confounded his critics with an often progressive agenda.

Record Number of Jews Visit Temple Mount Over Passover

The number of Jews who visited the Temple Mount over Passover broke the record for most Jewish visitors to the site in one day as well as over the course of Passover.

50th anniversary of Jerusalem reunification - "Shema Israel" Special Artwork by Alex Levin

A L E X  L E V I N

Shalom,

Exactly 50 years ago there was one of the most important events in the modern history of Israel. Jerusalem, was liberated by IDF (Israel Defense Forces).

We returned to the heart of our capital and our country. 50 years ago we did not occupy, but released him. Therefore, today you can declare to the whole world: “Jerusalem was and will be the capital of Israel. The Temple Mount and the Western Wall remain under Israeli sovereignty!”

Dear friends, the painting “Shema Israel” (Listen Israel), has been dedicated for this special date painted on the rare newspapers and maps from 1967. In the painting, soldiers who for the first time in 2000 years could come to the most holy place for Jews around the world to put tefillin and pray…

I would like to offer you a reproduction of this unique work, because without knowing our past we will never build the future.

I’m offering 25% discount on this reproduction in any size or media.

Alex

Netanyahu Pits Trump Against the UN Over Jerusalem Friday, May 26, 2017 | Israel Today

Netanyahu Pits Trump Against the UN Over Jerusalem

Friday, May 26, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
When US President Donald Trump visited the Western Wall sporting a kippa (yarmulka), it was a clear affirmation that the site is as the Jews say - Judaism's holiest shrine.
And, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu subsequently pointed out, that was a clear repudiation of the position recently taken by the United Nations.
During a Knesset session marking the 50th anniversary of Israel's liberation of the eastern side of Jerusalem, including the Western Wall, Netanyahu stated:
Trump's visit "destroyed UNESCO’s propaganda and lies."
Netanyahu further insisted that with the city now reunited under Jewish rule, it will never again be divided.
"The Temple Mount and the Western Wall will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty," said the Israeli leader.
What that means for Trump's new Mideast peace push is yet to be seen.
Until now, the Palestinian leadership has categorically refused to accept any agreement that doesn't include Israel's surrender of eastern Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
Will the "Trump Effect" be enough to make the Palestinians back down?
