Visit the Israel Carmel Winery ✡ "Took of Them For Bread and Wine" - ISRAEL365

But the former governors that were before me
laid burdens upon the people, and took of them forbread and wine above forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants lorded over the people; but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

More than any other produce, bread and wine were the staples of ancient society. Bread provides basic nourishment, and wine's alcoholic properties were used to disinfect water.  Jews recite special benedictions over both bread and wine, and they are both utilized in spiritual rituals, thus strengthening the connection between physical and spiritual sustenance. In addition, wheat and grapes are two of the special agricultural products associated with the Land of Israel (Deuteronomy 8:8). Today, after 2,000 years of desolation, Israel prophetically boasts a booming agriculture and over 200 wineries that produce award-winning wines. 'Karmey Chessed' means Vineyards of Kindness, and this organization's goal is to spread the bounty of Israel to those who need it most.  While IDF soldiers bring to mind valiant fighters, the reality is that there are many soldiers that suffer from extreme poverty.  Karmey Chessed embraces these young men and often their families, providing them with the necessary staples that these heroes need and deserve.

Help Needed Far From the Battlefield

When we think of Israeli soldiers, we tend to think of brave warriors fighting in the field. However, for certain soldiers, their battles are also fought for day-to-day survival.  One organization heard their plight and answered, learn how.

New Year for the Trees! ✡ "He Placed Him in the Garden of Eden" - ISRAEL365

Now the Lord God took the man, and He placed him in the Garden of Eden to work it and to guard it.

GENESIS (2:15)

va-yi-kakh a-do-nai e-lo-heem et ha-a-dam va-ya-ni-khay-hu b'-gan ay-den l'av-da u-l'-sham-ra

Today's Israel Inspiration

The opening of Genesis outlines God’s intimate involvement with the natural world and describes the Almighty proudly looking upon His handiwork and declaring, “v’hine tov meod” - “and behold, it was very good.” Man is created and is immediately charged with caring for creation, as an “oved,” a worker who builds and crafts, as well as a “shomer,” a watchman who is obligated to keep the world whole for its true Owner. Tonight is the wonderful festival of Tu B'Shvat, the New Year for the Trees, when we renew our biblical commitment to guard and protect His beautiful world. Celebrate this environmental holiday by planting a tree in the Land of Israel!

It's Your World

A beautiful message for Tu B'Shvat about taking responsibility for the earth.

Israelis Celebrate Tu B'Shvat, a Jewish Arbor Day

In Israel, Tu B’Shvat is like a Jewish Arbor Day. Environmental awareness programs abound and thousands of trees are planted throughout the country.

Shivat Shea Body Lotion with Fig Oil

Over the centuries, many have sought to explain the special significance of the ‘Seven Species,’ known as the שבעת המינים in Hebrew (shee-VAT ha-mee-NEEM). Each one contains healthful nutrients that benefit the body and promote wellness. Shivat Natural Cosmetics combine all-natural ingredients and extracts of the Seven Species to bring you skin-supportive cleansing soaps and beauty products that bring you closer not only to nature, but also to the Holy Land. The fig is a symbol of longevity and vitality. Legendary for its medicinal effects, the fig is rich in vitamins that can alleviate skin dryness and acne. It is also rich in antioxidants that fight the damaging effects of environmental pollutants.

"Bring You Home to the Land of Israel" ✡ Ezekiel's Prophecy Coming True - ISRAEL365

Behold they say, 'Our bones have become dried up, our hope is lost...' Therefore, prophesy and say to them, "So says the Lord God: Lo! I open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves as My people, and bring you home to the land of Israel."

EZEKIEL (37:11,12)

Today's Israel Inspiration

For 2,000 years, the hills of Samaria lay barren and desolate of Jews, awaiting the return of its people. How fortunate we are to bear witness to the blossoming and return of the Jewish people to these hills in our days! God is fulfilling His word as foretold by the Prophets in the very spot where Abraham began his divinely inspired journey to the
Land of Israel. In these hills of Samaria, Abraham once set up his famous tent of hospitality. Close by lay the tombs of the great biblical leader Joshua and his pioneering ally Caleb. Today, the thousands of Jews who have returned to this piece of God's land are in desperate need of an advanced medical center. Surrounded by Arab towns, the residents of Ariel have suffered from terror attacks, and a large medical center will eliminate the long arduous trip to distant hospitals.

Blossoming of the Hills of Samaria in the Holy Land

Hard to believe that the land called by neighboring Arabs “the Hill of Death” for its inhospitable terrain, has become a thriving, vibrant city in Samaria. See this true example of the miraculous blossoming of the Land!

Terror in Numbers

An Arab working in Ariel's industrial zone left his job and stabbed two security guards in Ariel. Unfortunately the number of attacks throughout Israel has only grown since the writing of this article.

Win a FREE Photo by our Photographer ✡ "He Will Judge the World" - ISRAEL365

And He will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples with equity.

PSALMS (9:9)

וְהוּא יִשְׁפֹּט תֵּבֵל בְּצֶדֶק יָדִין לְאֻמִּים בְּמֵישָׁרִים

תהילים ט:ט

v'-hu yish-pot tay-vayl b'-tze-dek ya-deen l'-u-meem b'-may-sha-reem

Today's Israel Inspiration

Our Sages describe that when God judges the nations of the world, He reminds them of righteous gentiles in Israel’s history. God asks the nations, "why have you not come close to Me?" If they say "I was too iniquitous, idolatrous or distant from God," He responds "were you more iniquitous than Rahab the harlot who ultimately came close to Israel and produced prophets and righteous; were you more idolatrous than Jethro the priest who came close and produced prophets and righteous; were you more distant than Ruth the Moabite who came close and produced kings of Israel?" The desired path is for all the nations to stand together in peace with the nation of Israel. Stand with Heart to Heart, Israel's national blood bank and emergency services, providing lifesaving treatment throughout the Holy Land.
