Widespread Terrorism Is Just Part Of The Perfect Storm That Is Now Descending On The Western World - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

Perfect Storm - Public Domain
Posted: 15 Nov 2015 Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

Words cannot adequately describe the utter horror that was unleashed on the streets of Paris, France on Friday.  CNN is calling it “the worst violence witnessed in France since World War II“, and even though it happened a couple of days ago now, many of us are still having a really tough time processing what took place.  Somehow, a small group of less than 10 radical Islamists was able to unleash a coordinated wave of attacks that killed at least 129 people and injured at least 350.

All of this comes less than a year after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, and many in the western world are now starting to understand that something has fundamentally changed.  Even though France has a highly advanced anti-terrorism infrastructure, and even though it also has some of the strictest anti-gun laws in Europe, none of that did anything to prevent these attacks.  Despite all of our advanced technology, the openness of our society makes us highly vulnerable to Islamic terror.  And as more waves of refugees from the Middle East are absorbed by both Europe and the United States, it is inevitable that there will be more attacks like this.

According to Google, the definition of a “soft target” is “a person or thing that is relatively unprotected or vulnerable, especially to military or terrorist attack.”  And as we just saw in France, the western world is literally teeming with soft targets.  I am talking about sporting events, concert halls, schools, churches, shopping malls, power stations, water treatment facilities, mass transit, etc.

For those that wish to create terror, the opportunities are endless.

In the western world, we generally rely on certain deterrents in order to maintain order.  Most sane people do not want to be shot, and most sane people do not want to go to prison.
But what do you do when there are large numbers of crazy people that are actually looking forward to being martyrs?

We don’t really have a defense for the kind of attack that we just witnessed in France.  What can you really do when you are dealing with large numbers of homicidal maniacs that are not afraid to die and that can strike anywhere at any time?  Unless you can identify the terrorists or their plans ahead of time, it becomes a guessing game.

And the level of evil demonstrated by these terrorists is truly astounding.  At the Bataclan Theater, two of the terrorists fired their AK-47s indiscriminately into the crowd for a full 10 minutes
At the Bataclan Theater, at least 75 people attending a concert by a U.S. rock band were killed and many more injured, according to authorities. Eyewitnesses spoke of two young men armed with AK47 assault rifles firing repetitively and dispassionately into the crowded venue, targeting helpless victims cowering on the floor.
Julien Pearce, a radio reporter who was inside the concert hall, told CNN he saw two terrorists at the back of the venue, “firing randomly to the crowd. People yelled, screamed, everybody lying on the floor. And it lasted for ten minutes, ten minutes, ten horrific minutes, where everybody was on the floor covering their heads.”

But these latest attacks are just part of a wider trend of chaos and terror that has descended upon western Europe.  For much, much more on this, please check out this video.
Sadly, what Europe is currently experiencing is coming here too.

When I first start dealing with someone new, I watch to see if that individual will actually follow through on what he or she has promised.  Sometimes this happens, but sometimes it does not.

In the case of ISIS, I would have to say that they are indeed following through on what they said they would do.  Tonight, much of Europe is completely gripped by fear and terror, and the head of ISIS has promised a “direct confrontation” with the United States as well…
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), issued a rare audio message back on January 21 in which he flatly stated his group’s intention to march on Baghdad and move into “direct confrontation” with the United States.
“Our last message is to the Americans. Soon we will be in direct confrontation, and the sons of Islam have prepared for such a day,” Baghdadi said. “So watch, for we are with you, watching.”
As WND has pointed out, there have been dozens of Islamic terror attacks on U.S. soil since 2001, but most of them have been relatively small.

Unfortunately, I believe that we are moving into a new era.  Instead of just being satisfied with killing dozens or hundreds of people, these terrorists will start getting a hold of weapons that can kill thousands.  Eventually we will see terror attacks inside this country that will make 9/11 look like a Sunday picnic.  And Barack Obama is certainly not helping things by “resettling” thousands upon thousands of Syrian refugees in communities all over America.

Of course increasing terror is just a part of the overall picture.  Many have described what is coming to the United States and Europe as a “perfect storm”, and I would agree with that assessment.

Even without Islamic terror, we live at a time of rising civil unrest.  The deep divisions in our country have been demonstrated by what happened in Ferguson, in Baltimore and more recently at the University of Missouri.  Americans are angrier and more frustrated than ever before, and the mainstream media is constantly playing up the divisions between various groups.  And thanks to Barack Obama’s refusal to protect our borders, there are now 1.4 million members of criminal gangs living in our cities.

Violent crime is already on the rise in our urban areas, and it is going to get even worse as we plunge into recession.  For instance, the city of Baltimore recently recorded its 300th homicide of the year after only seeing 211 for all of 2014.  Our major cities have never been more primed for civil unrest, and I believe that we are going to see widespread rioting, looting and chaos in the years ahead as the economy totally falls to pieces.

In addition to increased Islamic terror and civil unrest, I also believe we are moving into a time of great governmental shaking, increased tensions between global superpowers, unprecedented natural disasters, and the greatest financial unraveling the world has ever seen.

All of these trends will feed into one another to create the “perfect storm” that I mentioned earlier.  What this is going to mean is a dramatic change in our standard of living, our liberties and freedoms will continue to be stripped away, and our world is going to be transformed at a pace that very few of us ever imagined was possible.

If you have the feeling that everything has changed after what just happened in France, you are right.

But this is just the beginning.

What is coming in the weeks and months ahead is going to be even worse, and it is going to shock the entire planet.

Europe Anti-Semitism Triggers Record Jewish Exodus

Europe Anti-Semitism Triggers

Record Jewish Exodus

BRUSSELS and PARIS -- Terrorist attacks and rising anti-Semitism have convinced more European Jews there is no future for them or their children in Europe.
That's leading to an exodus of the Jews unprecedented since the creation of Israel.
European governments seem unable to prevent rising terrorist attacks against Jews, and that's made Jews as fearful as they've been since the Holocaust.
For a lot of Jews, the killing in Paris at Charlie Hebdo and the kosher supermarket was simply the last straw. It's the kind of bloodshed they had feared would happen.
Anti-Semtism in Europe has become stronger both because of more Muslim immigration and because of the leftist European media's constant demonization of Israel.
"We are facing a different kind of anti-Semtism: what we can call the traditional anti-Semtism, which is centuries old anti-Semitism, and a new phase of anti-Semistism, which is anti-Zionism; the critic of Israel who is actually hiding a real anti-Semistim," Joël Rubinfeld, of the Belgian League Against Anti-Semitism, explained.
A special U.S. envoy who recently returned from Scandinavia said Jews are under threat there as well. Rabbis are undergoing self-defense training. Virtually all synagogues in Europe have their own security or police protection.
European governments know that this new exodus of the Jews is a tragedy. But they seem unable or unwilling to do what it takes to stop the violence.
Experts say when Jews leave, it is the sign of a sick society. Jewish leaders CBN News talked to warn that Jews are only the first victims, and that other groups, particularly Christians, will face the same danger someday if something isn't done.

Post-Charlie Hebdo: Does France Face Civil War?

Post-Charlie Hebdo: Does France Face Civil War?

PARIS - French Holocaust survivors gathered last month on the 70th anniversary of the liberation the Auschwitz.

They are men and women who saw terrible anti-Semitism as children and who must again live in a time when some in France and in Europe want to kill Jews.

France's Jews have felt like a target for a long time. And the killings by Muslim terrorists at the Charlie Hebdo newspaper and kosher supermarket have only confirmed their worst fears, and it will cause more of them to leave France for Israel and the United States.

Post-Charlie: Same Old, Same Old

Some have called the massacre France's 9/11. But America clearly changed after 9/11. It's not at all clear if France has changed enough.

Yes, there have been arrests and more police and soldiers have been deployed. But political correctness is still so deeply rooted in France that speaking out too strongly against Muslim immigration and being labelled a racist can still end a career.

French TV commentator Eric Zemmour was fired in December for saying that Muslims should be deported to avoid "chaos and civil war."

Zemmour has written the bestseller, The French Suicide, about how France is being destroyed. CBN News had hoped to interview Zemmour, but his publicist told us he was in hiding because of death threats.

One week after the killings, Paris police banned an anti-Islamization march.

Even popular far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been tiptoeing around the subject. She's reportedly feuding with her foreign policy adviser, Aymeric Chauprade, who gave an exclusive interview to CBN News.

Chauprade angered Le Pen by saying that France is at war with some Muslims and in danger from what he called a fifth column of 1 million radical Muslims in France.

"The problem, which is maybe worse, is the sympathy from a large part of the Muslim population in France toward jihad and towards the radical idea," he told CBN News.

"(French leaders) refuse to accept the idea that violence is rooted in Islam. I do not say all Muslims are violent but that violence is rooted in Islam's holy texts," he said.

An Outpouring of Hypocrisy

The world saw millions of Frenchmen flood into the streets to say "I am Charlie." It was a touching outpouring of support for free speech in the face of Muslim terror.

But conservatives in France saw something else: hypocrisy.

The same French leaders marching for free speech have not allowed free speech critical of Islam, except for few Charlie Hebdo cartoons, and have crafted policies that have allowed Muslim extremism to flourish in France.

French author, journalist and publisher Jean Robin says the government brought on the attacks, by being harder on critics of Islam than on Muslims.

"The people who are responsible for these attacks are the ones showing off now and demonstrating for freedom of speech, which they crushed year after year," Robin said. "We don't have the freedom to say the ones who demonstrated are the ones responsible for what happened."

When CBN News asked French writer Renaud Camus about the French government's commitment to free speech, he burst out laughing.

"They have not been protecting free speech," he said. "The aim of the government over the 40 years has been to impeach free speech, to express itself on the main subject of the replacement of population, which is totally banned from the media, and which is what you're not allowed to talk about it."

Camus has been banned himself because of his warnings about Islam.

A Self-Inflicted Wound?

And France's unwillingness to confront the problem of Muslim immigration and radicalism strongly enough could help ensure there will be more attacks like the one on Charlie Hebdo and the kosher supermarket.

All of those French conservatives we interviewed warned of civil war, and of a future like Lebanon or Yugoslavia, although Camus added that, "Civil war is the wrong expression. There will be nothing civil about it."

After what should have been a clear wake-up call for France, it's not at all clear that France will do what it takes to prevent the next attack.

Chaurpade said France has to "fight very firmly, very strictly, against the Islamization of French society. There is an Islamization process, and we have to stop it clearly."

The number one best-selling book in France right now is Submission, by Michel Houellebecq. The story is set in the future when France has a Muslim president and French women begin wearing veils. It was released, coincidentally, on the day of the Charlie Hebdo massacre.

There are likely to be more terrorist attacks in France, not only because of the government's fear of political correctness, but because there are simply too many Muslim jihadists in the country to stop all of them.

300 Armed Muslims Attack Christian Boys' School in Pakistan

300 Armed Muslims Attack Christian Boys' School in Pakistan in Retaliation to Charlie Hebdo's Prophet Muhammad Drawings

Supporters of Ahl-i-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, a political and religious group, chant slogans as they carry a sign during a protest against satirical French weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which featured a cartoon of the Muslim prophet Muhammad as the cover of its first edition since an attack by Islamist gunmen, in Karachi, Pakistan, January 23, 2015. The sign reads in Urdu: "We martyr for the Prophet's sanctity."
Close to 300 Muslim students armed with iron bars and sticks attacked a Christian boys' school in northern Pakistan, reportedly in retaliation to French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo's controversial drawings of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. The attack left four Christians injured.
"It is very sad that Islamic radicals attack Pakistani Christians because of Charlie Hebdo. Christians condemn the blasphemous cartoons. It is a shame that even after 67 years since the birth of Pakistan, Christians have not yet been considered Pakistani citizens, but are seen as 'Western allies,'" Nasir Saeed, director of the NGO Center for Legal Aid Assistance & Settlement, told Fides News Agency.
The attack occurred on Panel High School in the city of Bannu, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Muslim students apparently were able to jump over the outer walls of the school and open the gates before attacking the Christians.
The school has been closed down at least for two days, with additional security measures being considered to protect the students.
Last weekend, Muslim mobs burned down a number of churches and pastors' homes in Niger, also in protest of Charlie Hebdo's drawings. At least 10 people were killed in the clashes, with pastors in the capital Niamey revealing that almost anyone associated with churches was targeted.
Marches have also been held in Pakistan, where Muslims insisted that freedom of speech does not give the right to disrespect religion.
The protests concern the Muhammad drawings published by Charlie Hebdo throughout the years, which are considered offensive to many Muslims around the world. The satirical magazine experienced a terrorist attack organized by al-Qaeda earlier in January, when 12 people were shot dead in its offices in Paris. The two gunmen who carried out the attack, and were later killed, said that they were "avenging" Muhammad.
Charlie Hebdo's cartoons have often targeted Christians as well, as Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill pointed out on Sunday.
"The cartoons of prophet Muhammad are childish caricatures compared to what this publication allows itself in mocking the feelings of Christians," Kirill said in a sermon.
"Today, in saying 'no' to terrorism, killings, violence, we also say 'no' to the inexplicable drive by a certain group of people to deride religious feelings."
Several other Christian leaders, including Pope Francis, have said that it is wrong to ridicule religion in such a way, while also speaking out against terrorism.
"You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others," Francis told reporters after the attack.
The minority Christian community in Pakistan has been targeted both by the ruling government's blasphemy laws that often focus on religious minorities, but also by radical mobs that seek to take justice into their own hands.
Saeed said that Christians in such communities are often targeted for actions in Western countries.
"Whenever incidents occur in western countries, the faithful Pakistanis are attacked. Christians, who are already living under constant fear for their lives, become even more vulnerable," the CLAAS director said. "It is the politicians' duty to create a cultural environment and a society in which Christians and religious minorities feel safe."
