Jesus asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" They replied, some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the prophets." Then He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Then as Jesus answered Peter, He was actually saying (paraphrased) Peter, you have received this answer not by natural knowledge but by revelation from My father in heaven and upon this rock (revelation) I will build My church, and the gates of hell (imprisonment from the enemy through the kingdom of darkness) will not prevail against it. Then Jesus went on to say, "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Jesus was speaking metaphorically of spiritual keys. He has given these keys to us, the body of Christ. He has given us authority in His name, power to bind the works of the devil, and loose people from bondage. He has given us keys to heal others from sickness, unshackle those who are bound, unlock and set people free from religious traditions and tear down strongholds. Keys are small and may seem insignificant but they could open huge doors. Small keys are used to open huge vaults that contain valuable possessions, but also lock them to keep thieves out. The apostle Paul said: For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. We need new keys when the Lord opens new doors because the old keys will no longer fit.
These Keys
The Lord says, I have given you the keys to My kingdom and the authority to use My name. These keys will unlock the doors and deliver people from every kind of bondage. These keys will unlock shackles, set people free from all demonic oppression and release many from every affliction and stronghold. These are the keys that will set the captives free who are addicted to alcohol, drugs and pornography. They are keys to open the tombs and deliver those who need to be set free from religious mindsets and those who are in bondage to religious rituals. They will open the prison doors and deliver those from occult practices, powers of darkness, and from all the power of the enemy. I have given you the keys that will open the portals of heaven and bring revelation. These keys will also release My Glory on this earth as it is in heaven.
These are keys to the Spiritual gifts, which will be used in miracles, signs and wonders in a greater dimension than you have known before. These keys will unlock the door to your destiny and as you receive My gift of the keys to the Kingdom, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. I am releasing keys in prayer and intercession that will unlock the hidden mysteries of My word. I Am He who holds the Key of David. When I open a door no man can shut it and when I shut a door no man could open it. I will open the eyes of your understanding on a new level as I reveal the secrets of ancient mysteries. So come before Me and receive these keys which is your inheritance as a child of God as I release them into your hands; says the Lord.
Daniel 2:22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.
Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

For several years the Lord has been showing me how He is raising up radical Holy Spirit filled believers to bring an outpouring of His Glory to this nation. The past few weeks I have been seeing this coming to pass. There are thousands of millennials who are radical for Jesus, know Him as God, and are pressing in to do great exploits.

This remnant is being groomed for a mighty revival. They are ready to be used by God to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leaper and set the captives free. They know how to fight the lions, the bears and behead the giants. They learned through personal experience that big battles require strong warriors. They refuse to stay in neutral gear.

King David was known for slaying Goliath whom the Israelites feared but were not able to defeat. David had already killed a lion and a bear before he killed Goliath. He had been through many personal battles but he always came out victorious. He was a king and a leader as well as a poet and a musician. He was a warrior and as we see in the psalms, a man after Gods own heart. He was determined and relentless against the enemy's plots and will never retreated when faced with a challenge.

There was a time when David was running from Saul, and the Lord sent him to the cave of Adullam. There were four hundred men in this cave who were in distress, in debt and discontented. David taught them how to be invincible warriors, raised them up and trained them as a mighty army. In 1 Samuel chapter 30 when David and his men returned home from war, they reached Ziklag and found it destroyed by fire and their wives, sons and daughters were taken captive by the Amalekites.

David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. They reached the breaking point and the people even turned against David wanting to stone him. But then something rose up in David. He strengthened himself in the Lord, and he asked the Lord; "Shall I pursue this troop? Will I overtake them?" The Lord responded: "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

The Lord says, "I have called you and chosen from a young age. You have slayed the lion and the bear and beheaded the giants. I will continue to train your hands for war, your fingers for battle and you will become victorious over every assault that rises against you. You have worshiped Me in times of distress, yet you have not backed down in the face of adversity.

Although the battle has been fierce at times and there are things seem to be destroyed and lost forever, you will recover all that has been plundered from the enemy. As you continue to encourage yourself in Me, you will regain your spiritual momentum.

Stand Steadfast

When calamity comes in as an ambush, stand steadfast in the armor that I have provided for you. Continue to resist all discouragement and stand immovable knowing that I have given you the ability and the authority to overcome every assault that is raised up against you. Do not deviate from the truth but stand steadfast to your convictions. Stand on the promises that are available to you. Do not allow the enemy to intimidate you and don't be moved by his ineffectual strategies. Rise up as men and women of faith and take the position as the warrior that I have created you to be.

Do not allow fear or bitterness to take root and refuse to be moved by situations in the natural. Take every thought captive and trust Me for your provision. I will not fail you or lead you astray but you shall surely pursue, overtake and without fail recover all that has been lost or stolen says the Lord."

1 Samuel 30:6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

1 Samuel 30:8-10 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all." So David went, he and the six hundred men who were with him, and came to the Brook Besor, where those stayed who were left behind. But David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred stayed behind, who were so weary that they could not cross the Brook Besor.

1 Samuel 30:18-20 David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking either small or great, sons or daughters, spoils or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, "This is David's spoil."

A Remnant of Millennials is Rising Up!

For several years, the Lord has been showing me how He is raising up radical, Holy Spirit-filled Believers to bring an outpouring of His glory to this nation, and in the past few weeks, I have been seeing this come to pass. There are thousands of Millennials who are radical for Jesus, know Him as God, and are pressing in to do great exploits.

There was a time when David was running from Saul, and the Lord sent him to the cave of Adullam. There were four hundred men in this cave who were in distress, in debt and discontented. David raised them up, taught them how to be invincible warriors, and trained them as a mighty army.

Pursue, Overtake and Recover All That's Been Stolen
The Lord says, "I have called you and chosen from a young age. You have slain the lion and the bear and beheaded the giants. "Is Anything Too Hard for the Lord?"
Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzI really appreciated reading Elaine Tavolacci's latest word about trusting God for THE PROMISE...you know...that special WORD you've been waiting on God to perform?

Are you waiting on God to give you your Isaac? Then, I encourage you to take to heart what Elaine shares with us as she writes:

The story goes on to say in chapter 21 that Sarah conceived a son named Isaac in her old age. He was the promised son. The name Isaac means, "laugh." Ishmael was not God's perfect will, but he was something that was born of the flesh. John 3:6 says: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

God is FAITHFUL to fulfill the promises He has spoken over you. I encourage you to "take that to the bank" and wait on the Holy Spirit for your promise to manifest! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Is Anything Too Hard for the Lord?"
Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY

There is a story in the book of Genesis about a man named Abraham and his wife Sarah. They left their families, and even their country, trusting the Lord at His word to bless them and make them a great nation. "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness" (Romans 4:3b). The word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision and told him that he was going to have a child. The Lord put Abraham in a deep sleep and made a covenant with him. When I read this passage I remembered that the Lord also put Adam into a deep sleep when He created Eve from his rib.

A Solution, But Not the Promise

Sarah gave her Egyptian maid Hagar over to her husband so they could have a son. Abraham went along with Sarah's wishes and Hagar conceived and had a son who they named Ishmael. This was not God's promised son. Then the Lord reminded me of the time that Adam followed his wife Eve by eating the forbidden fruit which was not God's will.

Some of you are tired of waiting on God's promise and you are about to settle for an Ishmael. If you follow your natural instincts you will not produce what Jesus has for you. Don't try to make things happen in your own strength. Refuse to give birth to an Ishmael because the Lord has an Isaac planned for you if you wait on Him.

Ten years later the Lord came down and appeared to Abraham. He changed his name from Abram to Abraham and changed his wife's name from Sarai to Sarah. He told him that Sarah, herself, was going to have a son and would name him Isaac. Abraham fell on his face and laughed to himself. Although he was a man of faith, this sounded ridiculous to him because of their age.

In chapter eighteen, the Lord appeared to Abraham again as three men came to him. He told him, once again, that Sarah was going to have a son. Sarah overheard this conversation and she also laughed in unbelief. Although they trusted the Lord all along, they were now looking at their situation in the natural and could only see an obstacle, which was their old age. "And the Lord said to Abraham, 'Why did Sarah laugh, saying, "Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?" Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son'" (Genesis 18:13-14).

I Laugh!

The Lord says, "Is there anything too difficult for Me? Don't allow situations in the natural to steal your faith. Trust in My promises and provisions. Do not see yourself as inadequate, but know that I can do more with your life than you could do in the natural. I am El Shaddai and nothing is too difficult for Me. Just as I told Abraham to leave everything behind and trust Me in the journey ahead, I am calling you to trust Me with your future.

"Just as I led Abraham, I will also lead you. I am the same yesterday, today and forever and I am still speaking today. Just as I honored Abraham's prayers and did not destroy the city for ten righteous, will I not honor your prayers? Trust Me for your families, your cities and even your countries to be brought into My Kingdom.

Believe My Word to answer every prayer and supplication.

There is Power in Covenant

"Don't make hasty decisions, which will produce an Ishmael. Wait on that which I have promised to you because it shall surely come to pass. Just as I made a covenant with Abraham, I have made a covenant with you. Wait on My promise. Your promised seed, Isaac, is on the way. Don't allow the enemy to magnify the difficulties in your life and make them appear unconquerable.

"I will bring you through situations that you have not been able to go through on your own and open the doors that need to be opened. Trust Me to move every obstacle that is blocking you from getting to your destination. Go forth in that which I have commissioned for you to do. Go without fear or wavering, surrendering all for the assignment that I have for your life," says the Lord.

"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore." (Hebrews 11:8-12)

The Lord showed me something interesting today. There are several men and women in the Bible who hid from God's calling. There's a prophet in the Old Testament named Jonah. The Lord told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh to prophesy against it because of their great wickedness. Jonah refused to go and went from the presence of the Lord on his own way. He got on a ship in Jaffa that was going to Tarshish, which geographically is in the opposite direction of where the Lord told him to go. As he walked out of God's will, he not only put his own life in jeopardy, but also the men in the boat as well as the people in Nineveh.

As Jonah was asleep in the lowest part of the ship, the Lord sent a great storm. The men on the ship cast lots, to see who was responsible for this great tempest, and found that it was Jonah. Jonah then told the men to throw him into the sea, and after this, they did this, the sea ceased from its raging. Jonah was saved by being swallowed up by a large fish, which the Lord prepared. Jonah prayed while in the fish, and after three days, he was vomited out at the Lord's command.

Jonah then went to Nineveh, prophesied to the people and the whole city fasted and prayed and turned from their wickedness. Then God relented and did not bring the destruction on Nineveh that they deserved.

This is an unusual story of a supernatural occurrence. Some of you may understand the metaphor of this story. (Matthew 12:40). The Lord is showing me that He wants to use many of us today to bring repentance, revival, and restoration to our cities. He is not a God of judgment and just as He had mercy on Jonah and the people of Nineveh, Jesus will also have mercy on people today. In return, multitudes will turn from their wicked ways and come into the Kingdom of God.

Let Me Awaken You

The Lord says, "I am the God of mercy and I am calling you to come into alignment with what I have called you to do. As you walk into your calling, you will see things begin to fall into place in your personal life and ministry. You will begin to see others being set free from their self-destructive ways. Don't be afraid of confrontation. Don't fear the opposition of the enemy. I will go with you and I will speak through you. Things may look unfamiliar to you as you go along, but trust in Me. I will never mislead you but you will become familiar with My ways as you take each step of faith.

For those of you who are asleep in the boat, allow Me to awaken you. You are carrying something precious and now is the time to raise your voice in the victory that I have given to you. Speak My words in boldness, proclaiming the good news to the nations. Don't fear those who threaten you, because My word in your mouth carries greater authority. My anointing on your life will bring change. Never compromise who you are and what you believe in, but take a stand for righteousness at all times.

Take no offence when you are confronted with the views and opinions of others. Don't be intimidated or swayed by their words of deception. Do not be concerned about your reputation. Do not fear the spirit of anti-Christ because you have been called to greatness. Do not be afraid of their faces, and don't be alarmed by their words. I am looking for those who will yield to the calling that I have placed on their lives, and will walk by faith and not by sight", says the Lord.

Psalm 139:7-9 Where can I go from Your Spirit? or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

Jonah 1:1-3 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me." But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

Ephesians 5:15-17 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
