"Are You Called to the Nations? Here Are Keys Just For You!"
Darren Canning, Ontario, Canada

A Trip Around the World

As I write you, I am sitting here at the beginning of a big trip around the world. Over the next month I will completely circumvent the globe. It is an amazing adventure that God is bringing me on. I will be ministering in five nations, but will be landing and praying in four more. In thirty-two days I will have been in 9 nations and have ministered about two dozen times.

This isn't the first time that I have undergone such a journey, and it isn't even my first time doing it alone. I have become accustomed to it – the sense of loneliness that you endure as you are preparing to depart from your family. I look each of my children in the eyes and tell them I love them and that although I am going to be gone for a while, I will still be coming home. My greatest joy is spending time with my family, so for me to leave them is a great sacrifice.

The only reason I would do what I do is because I have been convinced by God that it is my destiny to do it. I am possessed by the Holy Spirit who has filled me with the power and grace to do what I am called to do.

The Challenges of Global Ministry

I am not naive, and I know there will be some challenges that will come my way as I travel. There have been times in the field when I just want to give up and go home.

I am thankful for modern technology, but there have been times when I haven't even been able to rely on it during my travels. My cell phone is only as good as the networks within the countries that I go to.

During my travels, most of the western and Asian countries have been an awesome experience for me, but there have been times that I've had to deal with lapses in being able to contact home and my intercessors. Having an intercessory team that prays for me is like a lifeline when challenges occur!

Walking in Faith and Perseverance

These trips are all about walking in faith. I have seen God move time and time again. He provides for me all the time in such marvelous ways. My expectations of how He will provide are not always guaranteed, and in those moments I can get a little stressed. That is when I am glad to have prayer warriors surrounding me who pray and ask the Lord to bring breakthrough! The team that surrounds me is excellent, and they hear the Lord for me when my stress is too high to hear.

If you haven't walked into the nations not knowing how God is going to provide, it can be unsettling. In my heart of hearts I know everything is going to work out, but hearing from God daily strengthens my perseverance to do what He has called me to do.

Releasing God's Word

Preaching the Gospel boldly is what He has called us to do. There are times when I am in the field and the boldness of the Holy Spirit comes upon me, and I begin to feel a word arise inside of me. I have no idea if that word is going to be received, but I have no choice but to release it.

Many of you know this from experience; you have felt the pulse of the word. When you feel it and when you release it there can be a difference, and feeling a word and releasing a word can be tricky. You have to speak it, but how you speak it is very important. For instance, some cultures don't understand the language that you use, so you often have to say it over and over again.

Our Greatest Strategy: Speaking the Truth

In the nations, time and time again, I have had to deal with powers and principalities over regions. It is a part of what we do. The powers do not want you there. It is as simple as that. I always try to be humble, but when I feel a demonic force in the room I don't bow to it. A power will manifest in many ways and you have to rightly discern it, and in discerning it you have to seek the Holy Spirit for a strategy to overcome.

There is no greater strategy than to simply preach the Word of God. If there is a stronghold of hate then preach love. If there is a stronghold of depression and anxiety, then preach joy. If there is a stronghold of poverty then preach the riches of Heaven. The strongholds will always come down! They have no choice. Every power must bow to the name of Jesus. When you see the lie, speak the truth, and those who are captive to the lie, when they hear the truth, will be set free. Pray that their ears and eyes will be open!

Trust in the Lord, Not Your Outward Appearance

Many will judge you. They will look at your outward appearance and they will not think much of you. You cannot dress or speak in such a way to impress them. If your strength is in your outward appearance when you open your mouth to speak, you will sound like a fool.

Trust in the Lord and He will give you the right words to say. You will be like Ezekiel who spoke to the power of death over that lonely valley and resurrection power raised an entire valley.

Give More Than What You Take

On every trip you will meet wonderful people. These souls will leave you longing to go back to the places time and time again. You will cry with them and you will laugh with them. You will see miracles together and you will see warfare together. You have challenges and you will have victories. Persevere with them and love them. Do not let the darkness over them become the darkness over you, but let your light so shine that you become contagious with joy! God will use you to bring revival everywhere you go – just go!

I could write so much more but I will finish here for today. Always remember that in each meeting, what you do has deeper meaning than the poster you developed for it. If all you are is a famous face to the people and not the true person God created you to be, then don't be surprised when they don't receive you. When it comes to giving, we must always give more than what we take!

Was Christopher Columbus a Jew Led By Belief in Prophet Isaiah? ✡ "Teach Them Diligently" - ISRAEL365

Today's Israel Inspiration

Today's verse brings to light the tremendous importance of educating our children and imparting them with the wisdom carried throughout the generations from father to son, mother to daughter, since time immemorial. Perhaps the most crucial piece is also the most basic; learning the ancient language native to the Jewish nation: Hebrew. Understanding the beauty behind the Hebrew language is a skill that will undoubtedly deepen your connection to the Holy Land of Israel, and bring you closer to our Biblical ancestry. Through the power of technology, the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies has discovered unique methods to weave both ancient and modern together, as they encourage you to discover the Hebrew expert within!

Exploring the Land of the Hebrew Bible

The Bible is a universal text with timeless lessons, but it is also full of specific stories that took place in specific times in specific places. For this reason, the spiritual meaning of the Bible can only emerge once you have thoroughly mastered the literal understanding.

The Incredible Connection Between Columbus and the Prophet Isaiah

“There is a lot of evidence that Christopher Columbus was a man of faith seeking to help his brethren escape certain death or conversion in Spain and even that he dreamed of rebuilding the third holy temple in Jerusalem.”

WAY More than Just a Bible!

The Israel Bible includes many unique and special features to heighten your Bible study experience. One of these fantastic features is the Hebrew letter chart. This chart will introduce you to and teach you the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. With some practice, you will be able to read the verses from the Bible in their original Hebrew. Moreover, many of the verses in the Bible are transliterated to help you read along in Hebrew! In comparison to other editions of the Bible, the Israel Bible will help and teach you what you need to know to get to the original Biblical text. Check it out for yourself!

I Have Received My Personal Prophecy, Now What? by Georgina Buchanan Identity Network

I Have Received My Personal Prophecy, Now What? by Georgina Buchanan

Identity Network
Is Prophecy Really Relevant For Me

The Apostle Paul tells Timothy in 1 Tim 4:14 (NIV): "Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you."

Strong's Concordance 4394 says "Prophecy, the gift of communicating and enforcing revealed truth."

The Greek Dictionary (Lexicon-Concordance) G4394 says: prophecy 1a) a discourse emanating from divine inspiration and declaring the purposes of God, whether by reproving and admonishing the wicked, or comforting the afflicted, or revealing things hidden."

My personal belief is that "prophecy is the declared intentions of God." So when we receive a personal word or when a corporate word is given, that word is declaring what God intends to do.  Unfortunately, a large portion of the church world has done away with the prophets; therefore prophecy, both personal and corporate are not recognized or accepted, but God has not done away with it.  The office of the Prophet is still alive and active as a vital part of the fivefold ministry.  Because of the elimination of prophets in the local church there is a lack of teaching, training and understanding of what prophecy is and how it functions today.  However, God has not done away with his friends the prophets; and where there are prophets, there will be prophecy.

In the Old Testament the only way God spoke was through his prophets, but in the New Testament, after the indwelling of the Holy Spirit was released to the believers we can now come directly to the Father by the Holy Spirit.  However, that does not eliminate the purpose of the prophet, or his job.

Jesus himself set up the five fold ministry as spoken in Ephesians 4:11 (KJV) "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"

As with everything, some person somewhere is going to mess something up.  When it comes to religion, mankind has excelled at messing it up, but you see religion is mankind's idea of what and who God is, and as with most things; what we don't understand - we tend to exclude from our daily lives, and prophecy is no exception.

What are the Conditions?

It greatly saddens me to see that God's own people do not believe that he wants to speak to them in such a personal way.  He is our Abba Father, and our Father knows everything about us, from beginning to end.  With every prophecy, both personal and corporate, there are conditions that apply. The first condition is simple; you have to believe to receive. Secondly, we have to live our lives in alignment with the word of God. God can, and will say what he has planned for you; but if you are living outside his word, his promises will not come to pass for you. You are the one that determines the final outcome.

God told Abram that he would be a father of many nations when at the time Abram had no children. (see Genesis 17:5)  Our physical circumstances will often be opposite of what our prophecy is saying. That's why God changed Abrams name to Abraham, so that every time Abraham said his own name it reminded him of God's intended outcome for him.  Our words must speak not what we see, but what we are believing for.  It is sad, but many people will stand back with their arms folded, waiting to see before they believe, but spectators never become recipients, because receiving requires believing.

Time:  the Great Enemy of Believing

We too often judge a prophecy by our natural timetable.  When it does not come to pass, when we think it should, then we dismiss it as false.  God knows no time, yet he is well aware of every passing moment of our lives.  So much of what was spoken of in the Old Testament has yet to take place.  Some will say, "it's in the Old Testament so it is past."  NOT SO my friends! Much of what was spoken then is for such a time as NOW. There is an appointed time for God's word to be fulfilled and when we keep our minds and spirit turned toward God, his word spoken over us will surely come to pass.

A word from the Lord will always be impossible with man, that's why we cannot receive it with our carnal minds.  The carnal mind is the enemy of God. Romans 8:7 (NIV) tells us; "the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so."

Wanting the word to come to pass our way may sound good to our natural hearing, but it can only be fulfilled through the mighty hand of God. Unfortunately, that is why so many believers disregard the prophetic, because they are living with a carnal mindset.  It is crucial that we allow God to fulfill his word, in his time and in his way.  We cannot dictate how and when God does anything.

We often are disappointed because we think God failed to fulfill his promises to us when in reality he just didn't do it in our time frame.  Abraham pleaded with God to allow Ishmael to be the appointed heir, (see Gen 17:18-22) but God replied to him by saying he would bless Ismael but he could not be the covenant heir. Why, because Ismael was from Abrahams natural ability - not by God's supernatural power.

It Shall Come to Pass

The longer we wait for the fulfillment of our promises to take place, the more confused we can become. We begin to wonder if we heard God right.  Did we miss a turn or a step somewhere along the way?  Our friends seem to lose interest in standing with us, and we get words of "advice" about what we should or should not do.  We are told to give a certain amount of monies, or pledge an odd amount for a certain amount of time, all in the effort to make God's promises come to pass.

My friend, all God requires of us is that we believe that he will do exactly as he promised.  We are in a season of time that has never existed before, and it is only the beginning of the greatest outpouring of God's glory man has ever experienced.  The breakthroughs we are waiting for will not be just an ordinary breakthrough, but they will break us through into the extraordinary move of God.

Though you may have already waited a long time for your prophecies to come to pass, the answer will be so much greater than you ever imagined. TRUST GOD with your life and ALL that concerns you.  You will not be disappointed anymore than Abraham was when Isaac was born.  When we are resting in our Heavenly Father, time will draw us closer to him, not further away.  God will not only sustain you in the wait for His word to be fulfilled, but He will draw you closer to him.

My friends, you can be totally assured that God's word will be fulfilled in your life.  Do not judge God by our natural timetable; choose to believe, receive, and act on what He has said. Then let him do what only he can do, in whatever way he chooses. You will not be disappointed.  God will not fail you. His promises to you will be fulfilled, and your personal prophetic word will come to pass.

Oprah Winfrey's 'Belief': Millions of Ways to God? - CHARISMA NEWS

Oprah Winfrey's 'Belief': Millions of Ways to God?

Oprah Winfrey makes headlines whenever she's in the news. For instance, the share price of Weight Watchers International more than doubled after she announced that she is buying ten percent of the company and joining its board.
Now she's back in the headlines with Belief, a miniseries that began October 18 and continues through October 24. According to Jonathan Merritt, a respected evangelical journalist, "Belief allows the message and core tenets of every religion to shine through in a way that honors them while remaining honest. Even the most exclusivist believers will find something to love in this epic spiritual series."

Leith Anderson and other evangelical leaders approve the way Belief characterizes their faith. Other leaders seem to feel the same way about their religious tradition.

Of course, Oprah's own spiritual eclecticism shines through as well. She once claimed that there are "many paths to what you call God." She has endorsed Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and other New Age gurus. (For more on Oprah Winfrey's faith, see Janet Denison's Who's Right: Stephen Colbert or Oprah?)

In the second episode of Belief we're told that "our planet is home to countless religions, and nearly every one of those faiths asks us to love—love your God, your family, your neighbor." It's this generic, "faith is whatever you believe it to be" element that concerns me most. Do-it-yourself spirituality certainly did not originate with Oprah Winfrey. Rather, her miniseries reflects a trend that has been growing in popularity for decades.

Commenting on Belief, Diana Butler Bass claims in The Washington Post that "we are living through a period of intense spiritual democratization. In all the world's religions, older forms of remote and hierarchical authority—not to mention the very idea of a distant and monarch-like God—are being challenged by ordinary people as they pray, worship, walk pilgrimages, and seek the divine in nature and neighborhoods."

As a result, according to Bass, "Across the planet, people are taking responsibility for their own versions of meaning and, in the process, are remaking faith in ways that are more inclusive, more personal, more connected to the natural world, and more attentive to their community."

She calls this movement "nothing less than a global spiritual revolution" and declares, "All around the world, people are discovering that God—or the gods, or the Goddess, or the spirit of awe—is nearer than has often been taught and that the divine can be accessed by anyone anywhere." Bass is convinced that "human beings can trust themselves to find God and grace wherever the sacred might be discerned."

So people are to take responsibility for "their own versions of meaning" and "trust themselves to find God." This reasoning sounds attractive, but would it work for medicine? Engineering? The law?

If Bass is right, Jesus was wrong: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Oprah Winfrey's Belief powerfully narrates some of humanity's faith traditions. But if the miniseries leads even one person from "the Truth" to "my truth," it replaces the physician with the patient.

God gave us only one key to heaven, because His key works for everyone who uses it.
