Confronting Our Enemies ✡ "Lay In Wait For Us In The Wilderness" - Israel365

Our pursuers were swifter Than the eagles in the sky; They chased us in the mountains, Lay in wait for us in the wilderness
Lamentations 4:19 (The Israel Bible™)

Confronting Our Enemies

This verse conveys an image of the enemy lurking on all terrains and in all locations. Unfortunately, even after arriving on the shores of Israel following the Holocaust, Jewish refugees from Europe encountered persecution. Having survived the Nazis, these Jews were met by a new enemy: The local Arab population, which fought violently to keep them away from their ancient homeland. This enemy also waged war on a number of fronts, including the mountains and the wilderness, as described in the above verse. In January of 1948, a terrible tragedy took place in the Judean hills. A group of thirty-five soldiers was dispatched to bring provisions and food to the beleaguered communities of Gush Etzion, the Etzion bloc. They set out on foot at night to avoid detection, but the sun rose before they managed to reach their destination. Still in the vicinity of hostile villages, they were detected by some Arab women who had gone down to the valley to gather branches. Arab mobs were quickly deployed and after a lengthy battle, all thirty-five of the soldiers were killed in a bloody massacre. “They chased us in the mountains, lay in wait for us in the wilderness.”

Alane Haynes: "3 Types of Warriors Being Released: The Implacable, the Audacious and the Eagles" - The Elijah List

Alane Haynes: "3 Types of Warriors Being Released: The Implacable, the Audacious and the Eagles"

The Elijah List  Jun 24, 2018

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
God is really calling His saints to rise up in fresh bold ways in this hour.
There is much happening and at stake around us...it's going to take bold faith rising up in us to take the lands and go after the great harvests He is calling us to.
I really enjoyed reading this word of the Lord from Alane Haynes in which she shares about 3 types of warriors of the Lord:
I heard that there are three categories of warriors that are being advanced for new assignments: the implacable, the audacious, and the eagles.
"My Audacious ones, you have taken bold steps of faith and I am enlarging your capacity for increase to your borders. It is time to rise up and spread your wings on the currents of My Spirit, and the more will be yours. As you step forth in faith, many signs and wonders will be coming forth by your hands, and My territory will be expanded."
Enjoy this word...as you rise up and and take land God has set before you! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Recently, I received a very unusual vision. I saw an eagle soaring over the ocean, then it turned into a large ship, and I heard the words, "Aircraft carrier." As I began to seek the Lord, I heard the word "Audacious." I don't know anything about ships, so I know when I see something by the spirit that is outside my area of personal knowledge, there is something the Lord wants to tell me about it.
As I began to research these things, I was very surprised to learn that there was an aircraft carrier class known as Audacious, which was renamed Eagle. The Audacious class was originally designed as an expansion of an earlier class named Implacable. These had double storied hangars that had to be enlarged to accommodate the newer aircraft. The Implacable became Audacious, and the Audacious became the Eagle.
Implacable means unable to be placated; to be unstoppable or relentless. Audacious means bold, fearless, intrepid, daring, brave, courageous. I began to think about the eagle and what it represents – strength, great vision, using the winds to soar. I knew that they are incredible hunters. The Holy Spirit prompted me to do a little more research. (Photo via Unsplash)
Eagles fly higher than any other birds, using the wind thermals, even as high as some aircraft. Their vision is so keen that they can see two and even three miles away. I was astonished to learn that they have two sets of eyelids. One is called a nictitating membrane, and is a clear eyelid that allows them to see when their eyes are closed and also to see during storms. They can use their eyes as both monocular and binocular vision – independent of each other or together. They can focus in two ways, forward or at a 45 degree angle. They can also see in UV range, so they can see a urine trail of their prey.
Can't You Talk Louder, God?
As I was meditating on all of this, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me. An aircraft carrier carries and deploys airplanes ready for battle, but the carrier itself is also fully armored. I heard that there are three categories of warriors that are being advanced for new assignments: the implacable, the audacious, and the eagles.
For the Implacables
I heard Philippians 3:14 to describe the implacables. "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14 KJV). I heard, "My implacable ones, you have been relentless in your pursuit of Me. You have disciplined and positioned yourselves well. I am opening doors for you to walk in great courage. Take those giant leaps of faith, it is now time to become audacious. Be bold and advance for I am with you."
For the Audacious
For the Audacious, I heard, "These are those with strong faith, staggering not at the promises through unbelief (Romans 4:20). My Audacious ones, you have taken bold steps of faith and I am enlarging your capacity for increase to your borders. It is time to rise up and spread your wings on the currents of My Spirit, and the more will be yours. As you step forth in faith, many signs and wonders will be coming forth by your hands, and My territory will be expanded." Acts 14:3"Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of His grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands."(Photo via Flickr)
For the Eagles
For the Eagles, I heard, "You have carried many upon your wings, but there are many more that are coming forth. I am now giving you increase of spiritual sight. You will see in the midst of the storm and give direction to others that are caught in the thermals and unaccustomed to the heights. You will see more, even as you sleep, as the eyes of your spirit will be alert to My leading and you will receive instruction in your dreams and remember more clearly what I have shown you in the night.
"You have exercised your gifts well and more acuity to your vision is coming so that you will see more clearly the plans of the enemy. For the signs of his territorial markings will be clear. I am filling you with a strength and power to uphold the many in intercession. Greater wisdom and strategy is being given. You will have precision in your warfare. I am bringing you to an open door; you will see what was before, take from there and bring to the fore, intercept and win this war." (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Kathie Walters: "Eagles: Make Sure There Are No Weights On Your Wings" - THE ELIJAH LIST

Kathie Walters: "Eagles: Make Sure There Are No Weights
On Your Wings"

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
Some of the greatest things happen when we "rest" in the Lord. And let me just say "rest" doesn't mean inactivity...it means yielding and letting Holy Spirit work through you too!
Just as my friend Kathie Walters shares about yielding:
The object of our ministry or moving in God is that God gets the glory. The glory of God never comes on what we do, it comes on what He does. This brings me back to what I said in the beginning. "God doesn't want us to work for Him but He wants us to yield to Him..."
Read this by Kathie Walters...and you'll learn a thing or two as you yield to the Holy Spirit and let Him minister through you! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

The Bible Says We Are to, "Lay Aside Every Weight"
I have heard Bill Johnson say, "Faith comes from a place of rest." I believe this is very important message right now. Too many of God's people are still struggling and trying and you don't need to. Eagles don't flap, they soar! God is calling you to soar in the heavenly places and it's easy.
Did you realize that religious mindsets produce weights and religious spirits always produce striving in some way? Striving and trying and "working at it" will take you out of the spirit very fast. The Holy Spirit is not striving to make something happen or "working" at it, and God doesn't really want you working for Him. Rather, He wants you to yield to His Spirit and allow Him to work through you.
We Do the Yielding and He Does the Doing
When you yield and allow God to work through you awesome things happen. "For it is God who works in you, both to will and to do for His good pleasure"(Philippians 2:13).
"God is the One who has the ability to change hearts, and do the supernatural things that give glory to His name."
One of the biggest undetected weights that sit on God's people is what I call false responsibility. The problem with false responsibility is that it can sound good and moral. And so we mean well, but forget who we are and who we are not.
In our efforts to be good Christians and good ministers, we try to do things we have no power to do. We forget that we can't change anyone or make them do anything. If you try and be the Holy Spirit you will fail, as only God can change the heart, bring true deliverance and save a soul. He is the only one who can do supernatural miracles, sign and wonders.
Recognizing False Responsibility
Did you know that many revivals have been quenched out by false responsibility? Evan Roberts was a young man who was powerfully used by God in the great Welsh revival of 1904. The land of Wales was covered in the glory of God. The bars and pubs closed, as well as many sports events closed. Evan Roberts and others like him just allowed God to do what He wanted and mostly kept out of the way.
Town after town was visited by God, and God's power was manifest everywhere. People responded to God and God's presence. After about nine months, a heaviness began to come in some places. But still Evan carried a powerful anointing.
Eventually Evan Roberts had nervous breakdowns and brought a great heaviness on the people. You see, you can't make anyone respond; you can't make people do anything. But Evan, I'm sure out of a well-meaning heart, would get upset if people didn't respond how he thought they should. He would leave the meeting saying they were quenching the Spirit or close the meeting or scold people. But you see, Evan wasn't the Holy Spirit – it wasn't His responsibility how people responded to God. That was Holy Spirit's job.(Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
People in ministry can have nervous breakdowns when they try to be Holy Spirit.
There is no true freedom when false responsibility is operating, because the arm of the flesh is there. You will have all kinds of stresses if you try and do what only God can do.
It's your responsibility to do what God tells you to do. It's not your responsibility how people receive or respond to Him. That's a tremendous responsibility and a very heavy weight. It can affect you physically. If you have a word for someone, it's your responsibility to offer it, but then it's between that person and God what they do and how they respond.
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
Our Responsibility Is To Be Spirit-Led
In many churches we are taught to "meet needs," after all that's what a good Christian is meant to do isn't it?
It might surprise you to know that Jesus did not run around Jerusalem or Bethany or Galilee trying to meet people's needs.

In fact, Jesus really did three things: 1) He did what the Father told Him to do 2) He said what the Father told Him to say and 3) He went where the Father told Him to go...THAT'S IT.
The story of Lazarus in John chapter eleven, is a good example of what I mean. If you remember Jesus had a good friend, Lazarus. One day some people came and told Jesus to come to Bethany because Lazarus was dying. Lazarus was a good friend of Jesus, and it seems that Jesus often stayed in his house. Now that was pretty serious don't you think? They didn't say he had the flu – they said he was dying.
"There is no true freedom when false responsibility is operating, because the arm of the flesh is there. You will have all kinds of stresses if you try and do what only God can do."
You or I would have probably gone running on an electric camel or whatever because we have been raised to meet the needs or minister to the need. Well Jesus didn't immediately respond to Lazarus' need did He? He didn't leave until two days later. That's a long time to wait when someone is dying.
It took two days to get there, so that's four days, and when he got to the house Lazarus was already dead, and there was a little reception committee waiting. Some people were complaining and then came the zinger, "If You'd been here this wouldn't have happened and Lazarus would not have died" (see John 11:21).
I would say that's some heavy condemnation and blame right there. But Jesus didn't go to have a religious debate, He went to go to the tomb and speak to Lazarus. And He did!
"Lazarus, come forth." Jesus spoke out loud.
And guess what? That's right, Lazarus got up and came out of the cave. If Jesus hadn't called Lazarus' name then everyone would have gotten up that day, and there would have been a lot of confusion in Bethany.
Do you know what Jesus says before calling Lazarus from the grave? He says, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" (John 11:40)
The object of our ministry or moving in God is that God gets the glory. The glory of God never comes on what we do, it comes on what He does. This brings me back to what I said in the beginning. "God doesn't want us to work for Him but He wants us to yield to Him so that, "He can work through us both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13(Photo via Pixabay)
Shake off this weight. It's heavy and it will steal your joy. It will make you struggle and strive. I know ministries all around the world and one thing I can tell you, the sharpest people I know in the spirit realm are the lightest. Weights don't help you or anyone else, they just keep you in the religious realm.
Bill Johnson added this to my message, "Peace is what guards our hearts and minds. This is where anxiety (and fear) take root. Protecting our peace makes it possible for peace to protect our faith, and faith never comes from striving. Faith comes from rest and from surrender."
Always move out in peace and rest and faith. In Hebrews 4:10 it says, "He that is entered into His rest, has ceased from his own works as God did from His." We enter God's rest through faith, not by works.
God is the One who has the ability to change hearts, and do the supernatural things that give glory to His name. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Bill Yount: "This Is The Moment You Were Born For! The King Is Calling For You!"

May 18, 2017

Steve ShultzFrom the desk of Steve Shultz:
This is an activation word by Bill Yount in which he shares that the Lord is calling us all...yes that means ALL of US...into action!
No more waiting on the sidelines as you are part of the vast army of Christ and are much needed in the harvest at hand.
As Bill Yount shares this word of the Lord:
The Lord says, "There'll be no sitting on the sidelines this year. I'm taking the benches out. There'll be no benches to sit on. I'm calling everyone onto the field of their neighbors, city sidewalks, market places and the nations. Wherever you go, I'll be there." The move is on! The King is calling for you.
Enjoy this word and the many set-ups God will be bringing in your path! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)

I heard these words recently, "We gotta 'GO' for launching! We gotta 'Go' for launching!" Then it dawned on me. There can be no launching without a great shaking. I don't know about you but I'm sitting at the edge of my seat for what's next, for the King is calling.
The King Calls For Us in Many Ways to Launch Us
"As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:" Deut. 32:11
Is your life being stirred, shaken and interrupted? I'll tell you why. The Lord has greater things for you. Like an eagle, He (the Lord) has landed and is shaking the Hell out of the place where you are. Embrace the shaking and kiss your normal life goodbye. It's time to spread your wings and fly, because you're an eagle not a chicken. Don't die in your nest.
"God is up to something good in your life. He is reaching down and taking the good, the bad and the ugly and stirring it all around and causing everything to work together for good for them who love Him and are called according to His purpose."
Forty years ago when I started attending our church, in the spirit I saw a huge eagle in a nest in our balcony. It was stirring the nest in people's lives. It stirred and shook twenty-six of us members out into full-time ministry. Some went overseas and never came back except for visits, for they fell in love with people over there. Some like myself stayed in the states. After 40 years I saw this eagle returning to our church and to the Body of Christ at large. The eagle has landed! The eagle has landed in our lives!
The Eagle Has Landed to Stir Up Our Spiritual Gifts and Talents
When the eagle landed 40 years ago in our church, it began to stir a hunger inside of me to hear God's voice. Back then, I lived two blocks up the street and I would walk to church begging God to let me hear His voice in the church service, for I needed to know what to do with my life. Because I was expecting to hear from the Lord Himself, He never failed to anoint my pastor or anyone else who stands in our pulpit to minister exactly what I needed to hear. For forty years in the same church, God still speaks to me, for my expectation is to hear from Him.
This eagle will stir, shake, and interrupt our lives. Looking back over my life, God has been in my interruptions more than He's been in my plans. I hear the Lord saying, "Kiss your normal life goodbye!" Your nest has had some nice comfortable feathers in it, but this year, as the nest shakes, the sharp sticks will jab and prick us out of our comfort to help us get out of the nest, because we were born to fly.
Every storm and adversity you have ever faced has come to prepare you to spread your wings this year. Don't die in the nest. The harvest is now. God often comes when we least expect it, when we are just going along in life minding our own business, and our dream is within reach and we're almost there. That's when the eagle often comes, interrupting our lives, to be about our Father's business.
(Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
"I Am Up to Something Good!"
"Prepare for take off! Make sure your seat belts are fastened securely."
These were the words my wife, Dagmar and I heard sitting on a flight to Houston, Texas recently to minister. Then the pilot came on the intercom and said, "We are expecting a nice flight to Houston today."
When I heard this, I said, "Thank You Lord, we are on the right plane with the right pilot." A little later he says, "I see a couple minor things up here that concern me. I will get the mechanics to check it out, then we'll be on our way. After awhile he says, "I have good news for you. And I have bad news. The good news is, you will be going to Houston. The bad news is, not on this plane."
Those words pierced me and have never left me, for I believe it's a prophetic word for the Body of Christ this year.
ElijahList Prophetic Resources
I heard the Lord say, "You will be arriving at your destination that I have for you this year, but not by sitting in the pews of your churches. These pews will not take you there, neither will this nest."
We had to exit the plane to board another. Standing in a long line to board again, they announced yet another gate change for another flight. (There will be some gate changes coming for many of us this year.) I was frustrated with all these changes. I said, "Lord, what are You doing, because I'm on a mission for You?"
He said, "First of all, I just saved you from a plane crash. Another thing, I'm up to something good!" Many of God's people with all the stirring, shaking and interruptions are wondering, what is going on in their lives. They are wondering where God is or where He went to.
"Looking back over my life, God has been in my interruptions more than He's been in my plans."
Let me tell you: God is up to something good in your life. He is reaching down and taking the good, the bad and the ugly and stirring it all around and causing everything to work together for the good for them who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He has even pulled the stinger out of death and is using it for His glory!
From the Pit, From the Prison to the Palace, the King is Calling For You
"Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his clothes, and came in unto Pharaoh." Genesis 41:14
There are many of you who feel like you've been in the pit for a long time. Others have felt like you've been in a prison. But we are in a "But God" season. This year the King is calling for you to the palace.
I think we have the wrong impression of what that palace was like for Joseph being second in command. The Bible doesn't describe how beautiful that palace was but it does talk a lot about the reason God brought him there. "To save much people alive in the time of trouble and the famine that was coming" (see Genesis 50:20). Joseph considered the palace only to be a launching pad to launch his dream to save the people.
A King was building a palace in another country. He ordered huge pieces of glass mirrors to hang on the walls of the palace. When the shipment arrived most of them were broken through shipment. He became so angry that he said to his servants, "Break these huge pieces of glass into tiny pieces and throw them away. So they began smashing those huge glass mirrors into tiny pieces. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)
As they were sweeping up all of the tiny pieces of glass to throw in the dumpster, one of the servants said to the king, "Oh, king, this stuff looks like diamonds! This stuff looks like diamonds!" As the king looked down on all those broken pieces, he had a divine thought. He had his servants pick up all those tiny broken pieces and he began pasting them all over the walls of the palace. When people came and began admiring the diamonds filling the walls of his palace, the king would finally tell them, "What you are looking at is just tiny broken pieces of glass."
Though hidden, the broken and crushed in spirit will rise out of the dust and ashes of life. God is making diamonds out of dust this year. He's making diamonds out of us. This is the year for broken people to be healed and redeemed and our King will be decorating the walls of His palace house with broken people who shine like diamonds in His Kingdom.
We're Not In Kansas Anymore!
I am reminded of the Wizard of Oz movie where a tornado picked up Dorothy's house in Kansas and whirled it to another place. When it landed, Dorothy said to her dog, "Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore." I hear the Lord saying to the Body of Christ, "We're not in Kansas anymore. You can't go back and live like you used to and do the things you used to do. You will have to think differently, for you are in a new place."
The King is calling for you and me. This is the moment we were born for. Ask the King what's next for you. Don't be surprised by what you hear. It may blow your mind. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
