The Lord Laughs. He has the final word. - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

The Lord Laughs.
He has the final word.

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!"

He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury, saying, "But as for Me, I have installed My King upon Zion, My holy mountain." (Psalm 2:1-6 NASU)

Losing respect for a world leader and the office he sits in doesn’t typically happen overnight. But after seeing the manipulation, deceitfulness and vast amounts of resources spent on such wasteful agendas that have been pushed on our nation as truth, on a vast number of people, it took just a bit longer than that. It this case, losing respect for such a one actually took only about a year since that election day.

It amazes me how people can become so blind when they actively pursue their own comfort, pleasure or personal benefit. They tend to ignore the reality of the real world, and live as if the Walt Disney bubble surrounding them truly exists outside their own make believe story line.

And if by watching the same Peter Pan fairy movie, “and never wanting to grow up”, their concept of life continues on in complete unreality. Their blindness, occurring on the deadly path they had chosen, has now taken a once righteous nation down a dark and forbidden road.

Building such a kingdom will be shaken, as promised. It is a vain thing to despise the counsel of the Lord, and make up your own laws.

Taking a stand against the decrees of the Lord and against His Anointed, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, is not a smart thing to do. Declaring that you, o kings of the earth and the ruler of this nation, know more than what your Creator has made known to you in His written Word, has blinded the very eyes you claim you see clearly through. O what a foolish thing you do.

Personally I get rather angry when I hear those in lofty positions speak such high and mighty words, telling us of their plans and purposes, when knowing full well that within their heart lies deceit and pride. Believing that what they espouse and accomplish in this temporary life time period, in order to leave behind a legacy of “wowdom”, just won’t happen. The Lord sits in the heavens and laughs. He scoffs at them.

When one removes prayer from the schools and the Bible from the courtroom; when righteous declarations are replaced with ungodly spewing; when foundational respect for life is terminated along with the unborn beating heart, then we know that the time of man’s foolishness is quickly coming to an end.

Psalm 2 continues on, "I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord. He said to Me, 'You are My Son, today I have begotten You. 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession.  'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'"

Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; take warning, O judges of the earth. Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!” (Psalm 2:7-12 NASU)

The Almighty God will only allow so much before He then says it is enough. The rulers, kings, and judges of this world will never have the final say. The King, the Son of God - He will be the One who does have the final word. When that time comes, and He does speak forth from His heavenly throne, His rod of iron will put an end to the foolish and prideful hearts and minds of ungodly men. They best worship Him, rather than the ground they walk on.

We are blessed who take our refuge in the Savior. We are blessed if we heed His Words, and walk in His ways.

Judgement does come. Each will be held accountable for what he has done. The Lord laughs at those who think otherwise.

Now think on this,

"A Vision of the Golden Shovel" - Tiffany Ann Lewis

"A Vision of the Golden Shovel"
Tiffany Ann Lewis, Rexford, NY
The Elijah List

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1
Here's my heart Lord
Here's my heart Lord
Here's my heart Lord
Take all of me...
I had a glorious vision of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem during a time of prayer while these words were being sung. In the vision, I was standing at the entrance of the temple facing the brazen altar and the whole court of God was before me and it was alive with worship.

The images changed quickly from scene to scene and suddenly the smoke that had been rising steadily from the altar of sacrifice, died down and the people went home. It was then, in the stillness of the courtyard, that I saw Jesus, our High Priest, come out from the Holy Place with a golden shovel in His hand. He went quickly and purposefully to the brazen alter and scooped up the ashes and carried them inside the Holy Place. (Photo via Wikipedia)

The vision ended as quickly as it started but something about the intensity that the Lord had while He was scooping the ashes continued to grip my heart. There was a protectiveness and tenderness to His actions. I sensed Jesus cherished those precious ashes. You see, He knows firsthand that the Altar of Sacrifice is not always a pleasant place to be therefore, He is tender and sympathetic to the pain of the process. And it is a process, however, in Jesus, nothing is lost.

Even the searing pain has a purpose. Even the ashes have a purpose. Jesus was bringing the ashes into the Holy Place to make something beautiful from the hearts offered up to Him in faith on the altar of sacrifice. Selah...

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Jesus Picked Up Our Ashes...

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me... to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:1a;3

Now, I know what you're thinking... it wasn't a golden shovel that the priest used to bring the coals into the holy place... it was a brass shovel. This is true however, I think there was a reason that the Lord showed me a golden shovel in the vision verses the bronze one in Scripture. Let me explain.

In Scripture bronze symbolizes strength, judgement, and captivity. Gold on the other hand represent rarity, purity and God's deity. Using a gold verses bronze shovel reveals, I believe, how precious the lives that we offer up to Him are. They may not be lives that are perfect or free from failure, but a broken, humble heart the Lord will never despise.

You are probably familiar with this Psalm written by King David, the man after God's heart, after his horrific sin of killing Uriah to cover committing adultery with his wife, and which was revealed (see 2 Samuel 11). What David had done was displeasing to the Lord but his sincere repentance wasn't. I believe his repentance was precious to the Lord and the very reason, in the vision, I saw the Lord Jesus come with a golden shovel, not a shovel of strong bronze judgement. (Photo via Wikipedia)

Many Believers today are stuck in their shame, feeling like the Lord despises them because of their sin. Instead of being set free with the truth of Romans 5:8 that "...God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us," they are stuck in "the shame of being a sinner" that Christ needed to die for.

Here is the core of the vision: there was no distain or judgement on the Lord's face as He scooped up the ashes. There was a look of joy and pleasure as He scooped up the precious ashes that come from our lives laid upon the altar of sacrifice in sweet surrender to Him.

Beloved, surrounded by all that ashes of our lives there is a burning ember that He will bring into the Holy Place and use to bring a sweet, smelling aroma to God from the altar of incense. Amen and Amen.

WATCH: Why America May Change Forever This October

Christians are not exempt from persecution that may soon shake the globe.
But instead of fighting against the persecution, believers are adjusting.
"So we're falling right now, as a nation, we're falling and falling and falling," TruNews' Rick Wiles tells Jim Bakker. "And what's happening, Jim, is people are acclimating to the fall. The more we fall, they just get used to it."
Which could mean bad news a lot sooner than you'd expect. Watch the video to see what we mean.

Watchman on the Wall, from

Like I said earlier this month, Michelle Bachmann has never been shy about her faith or lacked the boldness to confront the difficult issues.
The former four-term Republican congresswoman didn't hold back in a recent episode of Jan Markell's Understanding the Times radio broadcast.
In case you missed it, she warned that God is going to bring judgment on America thanks to President Obama's foreign policy. She called Obama ignorant of Islamic scripture and Islamic history and accused him of intentionally lying to the American people.
"He constantly talks about perverting Islam, but we have literally centuries and centuries of theory and practice of the Quran and the Hadith, which are traditions, the works of Islamic jurisprudence, that say one complete, consistent truth and that's that they want to have a nuclear weapon," she said.
"There is no fatwa out there," she added. "This is a lie, in my opinion, that the president is perpetrating. But that's what we've seen—a doctrine of deception. From the time Barack Obama has come in, I have witnessed firsthand a doctrine of deception."
Bachmann went on in that interview to connect the dots to the end times. What she may or may not have expected was backlash from the White House for those comments. President Obama mocked her during Saturday's White House Correspondents Dinner.
"Michele Bachmann actually predicted I would bring about the biblical end of days," Obama told the audience. "Now that's a legacy. That's big. I mean Lincoln, Washington, they didn't do that."
Unfortunately, this is no laughing matter. The signs of the times are upon us and instead of repenting the leader of the free world is cracking jokes about clear warnings of God's judgment.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is talking about a Christian Holocaust even as some are questioning if gay nuptials could bring God's judgment on cowardly church leadership. Still others are questioning whether the church will wake up before God's wrath falls on the nation.
We know that judgment will start in the house of God, but with the New York Times wanting us to rewrite the Bible and presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton exhorting us  to give up our religious beliefs, it seems the holy hope for our nation is a Third Great Awakening.
Let's pray for our president and others who are making critical decisions in these last days. It's never too late to make an appeal to heaven. As for me, I'm believing for an outpouring, a transforming revival, the greatest Great Awakening the world has ever seen. What about you?

Israeli Rabbi Predicts Blood Moon Judgment

Israeli Rabbi Predicts Blood Moon Judgment

A mystic Israeli rabbi from southern Israel has called on all Jews to repent and pray with the approach of the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle, to appear in the skies during Passover and Good Friday.

The website Breaking Israel News reports that Rabbi Amram Vankin predicted years ago that that the 44th president of the United States would bring bloodshed to the Jewish people, based on the Hebrew word for blood, "dam," which has the numeric value of 44. Vankin said this before Barack Obama was elected as the 44th American president.

President Obama just heralded the framework for an agreement between the world powers and Iran, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Friday "will threaten the survival of Israel."

The rabbi believes the number 44 has special significance this lunar eclipse because this one is expected to last 4 minutes and 44 seconds, the shortest such eclipse of the 21st century.

A student of the rabbi, Gil Nachman, spoke with Breaking Israel News, saying Vankin also correctly predicted the Gaza Flotilla conflict and Carmel forest fire in Israel in 2010, as well as the two Israeli clashes with Hamas in Gaza, Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012 and Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

Vankin attended his own call for prayer at Jerusalem's Western Wall on Wednesday after putting out a Facebook message saying, "In these critical times, Am Israel must join together to pray to Hashem (the Lord) to send us Messiach Ben David (the Messiah)."

Other rabbis and pastors believe the Blood Moons are a significant signpost in the heavens, but may not portend judgment for Israel as much as they portend momentous events, and perhaps blessing for the Jewish people.

Pastor John Hagee, author of the book, Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change, told CBN News' Erick Stakelbeck, "God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way."

"I believe that in the next two years (from 2014), we're going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world," Hagee said.

Pastor Bob O'Dell of Root Source explained, "All the prior blood moon tetrads point to a pattern of blessing on the Jewish people. They are good news for the Jews. They are a great indicator of God's love and commitment to the Jewish people to preserve them, and a warning to those who stand in opposition to Israel."

The last series of four blood moons to occur in consecutive years during the Jewish Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles coincided with Israel's victory in the Six-Day War, which gave the Jews control of their capital, Jerusalem, for the first time in nearly 2,000 years.

On one thing many sages and clerics, both Jewish and Christian agree: it is a time to pray.

Jonathan Cahn Unlocks Thousands of Years of Mystery - THE MYSTERY OF SHEMITAH

Jonathan Cahn Unlocks Thousands of Years of Mystery

THE MYSTERY OF SHEMITAH

The mystery of Shemitah is about the events happening in America and around the world that were predicted to the time and date of occurrence. Jonathan says that these revelations are based on the Torah and other ancient scriptures. To unlock these mysteries, one will have to know the five keys of Shemitah.
The first key is related to the Sabbath that Jews observe and is based on Leviticus 25:1-4, “As every seventh day was the Sabbath day, so every seventh year was the Sabbath year.” The Shemitah of ancient Israel refers not only to the releasing of the land but also to the nullification of debt and credit ordained by God and performed on a massive nationwide scale.
The second key is the judgment sign based on Jeremiah 25:4-11. According to Jonathan, the Shemitah was a sign of the nation’s covenant with God. Everything the Israelites had was dependent on the covenant and the relationship with God. It was entrusted to them but belonged to God, and if they turned away from God, then their blessings would be removed, or rather, they would be removed from their blessings.
The third key is the Shemitah as the prophetic sign. On one hand is the Shemitah as a religious sign of observance, the Sabbath year. On the other hand is a national cataclysm that sets a city on fire and wipes away an entire kingdom. One is all about release, the other-a nation taken by force into captivity and exile. Jonathan says that these realities do not go together but are one and the same. According to the account, that which fell upon the land of Israel in 586 BC was not just connected to the Shemitah. It was the Shemitah.
The fourth key is the Israel of the new world. Jonathan says that most would find it surprising to learn that America was consciously, intentionally and specifically founded after the pattern of ancient Israel. It’s founders saw it as a new Israel, the Israel of the New World. The New World was their new promised land, and the Massachusetts Bay was their New Jerusalem. Jonathan also says the legal system, the mountains of America, the Hebrew language taught in school are all things that are linked to the nation of Israel and it’s foundations.
The fifth key is the Tishri Connection. The themes of Tishri match with the themes of Shemitah as both speak of God’s sovereignty, linked to judgement, both call the nations to return to God and are linked to the nullification, cancellation and release concerned with sin and debt. The only difference is that Shemitah is the seventh year and Tishri is the seventh month. Tishri is connected with the proclaiming of the Lord as King and Sovereign over the world, over the nation and over the lives of His people. The month of Tishri is also the known as the time of judgement.
HOPE IN GOD
The destruction of the twin towers was not the end in the mystery of the towers. There would be another says Jonathan. It would rise up from the site on which the twin towers had been struck down-Ground Zero. It would become a symbol of the rebuilding of America in the wake of 9/11. American leaders would speak of it even before it came into existence and then, as it rose, hail it’s rising as a symbol of the nation’s pride and resilience. The tower would stand as the embodiment of America itself.
Jonathan says this prophecy relates to the Tower of Babel in the Bible, found in Genesis 11:4. Babel was established as they wanted to make a name for themselves due to pride and arrogance. Jonathan says that the events that are taking place in America are falling into the same lines.
To avert judgement, we must return one last time to the burning ruins of Jerusalem in 586 BC. The prophet Jeremiah had warned his nation unceasingly that the day of its calamity was coming. Jonathan says they could have averted if they turned back to God but they did not listen to the prophet. Today, Jonathan says that America is heading down the same path but says there is still hope. He also says God is sovereign and for every prophecy, there is grace for fulfillment of that prophecy. Where there is repentance, there is revival says Jonathan.

Is Deadly Ebola Outbreak the First Bowl of ‘Revelation’ Judgment?

Margaret Chan
World Health Organization Director-General Margaret Chan addresses the media after a two-day meeting of its emergency committee on Ebola, in Geneva Friday. West Africa's raging epidemic of Ebola virus is an "extraordinary event" and now constitutes an international health risk, the WHO said. (Reuters/Pierre Albouy )
It's official. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola outbreak in West Africa an international public-health emergency. Stopping the global spread of this deadly—and generally fatal—virus will demand a swift, mass response.
"Countries affected to date simply do not have the capacity to manage an outbreak of this size and complexity on their own," WHO Chief Dr. Margaret Chan said at a news conference in Geneva, according to an Associated Press report. "I urge the international community to provide this support on the most urgent basis possible."
Over 900 people in West Africa have died—and those are only the ones we know about. Ebola experts are warning of an African apocalypse in the face of an unprecedented outbreak that has left hundreds lying dead in the streets, The Daily Beast reports.
"The disease is uncontained and out of control, the international response has been a failure," Ken Isaacs, vice president of Program and Government Relations for Samaritan's Purse, told The Daily Beast. He thinks the reported number of infections and deaths "represent just 25 to 50 percent of what is happening."
Dr. Heinz Feldmann, chief of virology at the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, told the AP that the "situation is very critical and different from what we've seen before. There are so many locations with transmission popping up, and we just need more people on the ground."
Prophets Claiming God Sent a 'Plague'
Now, Liberia's church leaders are claiming the deadly outbreak is a plague God has sent to punish the nation for "immoral acts" such as homosexuality. Liberia's Daily Observer reports that more than 100 bishops, pastors, general overseers, prophets, evangelists and other ministers of the gospel who are part of the Liberia Council of Churches have resolved:
"God is angry with Liberia, and that Ebola is a plague. Liberians have to pray and seek God's forgiveness over the corruption and immoral acts (such as homosexualism, etc.) that continue to penetrate our society. As Christians, we must repent and seek God's forgiveness."
Are Liberia's prophets and pastors right? Is the Ebola outbreak God's judgment on the nation for immoral acts? And, if so, shouldn't we expect it to spread to the doorsteps of Europe, Asia and America, whose citizens are practicing many of the same immoral sins? Or is this just one small piece of the bigger end-times picture? Consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 in context to the age:
"For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" (Matt. 24:5-14).
Discerning the Signs of the Times
Let's look at the landscape as it compares to Jesus' words. Persecuted Christians are being run out of Iraq en mass. There is war in the Middle East, airplanes being shot out of the sky over Ukraine, drug wars south of the U.S. border, and, of course, culture wars over God's Word in many nations.
Meanwhile, a man-made famine is on the horizon in Sudan, an huge earthquake just hit Hawaii as it waits for two hurricanes to clobber its shores, an earthquake in China on Wednesday left nearly 600 dead. Earlier this week, earthquakes hit Johannesburg, South Africa; Indonesia; and Napa County, California. And an earthquake just hit Greece this morning.
A couple of days ago I asked on my Facebook page, "What are your thoughts on the Ebola outbreak? I am praying about this and its prophetic implications. Is God speaking to you about this?" I got hundreds of responses. Some think the Ebola outbreak is the first bowl of judgment in the book of Revelation. Others say judgment is coming. Still others think the news of the virus is just fear and propaganda.
How Should Christians Respond?
I don't think the Ebola outbreak the first bowl of judgment—but I don't think it's propaganda either. We need to rightly interpret the signs of the times (see Matt. 16:3). This is certainly not the first time we've seen deadly outbreaks of viruses, but we should take notice when experts like Isaacs make these kinds of warnings:
"I think we are going to see death tolls in numbers that we can't imagine. If we do not fight and contain this disease, we will be fighting this and containing this in multiple countries across the world. The cat is, most likely, already out of the bag."
No, I don't think it's the first bowl of judgment. Believe me, there won't be any wondering or speculation when the first bowl of judgment is poured out. But I do believe it's time for the church to rise up and stop playing patty-cake with pastor on Sunday. I do believe it's time for saints to hit their knees in intercession for the lost—and the living. I do believe we need to settle in our hearts the reality of Psalm 91 and refuse to walk in fear. I do believe that we need to recognize the signs of the times and respond accordingly. What do you believe?
