Showing our love, respect and support for the Jews and the people of Israel, four ministries - Beit Yeshua (Curtis Loftin and Chuck Anthong), Highway To Zion (Cathy Hargett), Israel Media Ministries Ze'ev Nevo) and Love For His People (Steve Martin) came together for the annual event in Lincolnton, North Carolina, USA.

Led by Curtis Loftin (founder of Beith Yeshua) this gathering of Gentiles and Jews join together to bless the nation of Israel, being we are strong friends and love to let the world know that we stand strong for the Jewish people in their Promised Land.

In the midst of recent activity within the USA, and the increasing anti-Semitic activity worldwide, and even in the eastern USA in Virginia, as committed Christian and Messianic Jews, we want our cities, our states, our nation and the world to know that the Jews will always have our support, love and commitment to stand with them against all who seek to steal, kill and destroy.

We love our brethren the Jews! We love Israel! Blessings on ye head!

Paul Wilbur - what an amazing work in ministry you have done, bringing Messianic Jewish music to those of us all over the world, by connecting our Jewish roots as Christian believers in Yeshua (Jesus).

From your first album Harvest in 1979, to your most recent one Forever Good (2016) - I just ordered it! - you have done what no one else has done as much, by bringing the Jewish sound to the Christian community. What a joy it has been, and continues to be.

We sang your songs on our worship team in several churches, and with the Ahava Love Band.

We love you Paul Wilbur! Thank you for sharing your love for Yeshua, the God of Israel, and being a wonderful sound to the nations, in voice and instrument.

Paul Robert Wilbur (born January 18, 1951) is an American Christian musician, worship leader, and guitarist, who primarily plays a messianic worship style of music. He has released albums with Integrity Music, Hosanna! Music, and Epic Records, during his career. His first known musical work, Up to Zion, a live album, was released in November 1991.

Early life[edit]

Paul Robert Wilbur was born on January 18,^[1] 1951.^[2] While he was in college during the 1970s he was planning to be an opera singer.^[3][4]

Music career[edit]

Paul Wilbur's recording career began in a group called Harvest with Ed Kerr and Jerry Williams. The trio recorded two albums, the self-titled first album Harvest (1979) and their second album in 1981 called Morning Sun.^{[citation needed]} After that, Paul Wilbur left Kerr and Williams to continue with the band while he went on to pursue other interests. His next recorded album was in the group Israel's Hope. The group released Introducing Israel's Hope in 1987.^{[citation needed]} Wilbur's solo career began in 1991, with the release, Up to Zion, a live album, released by Hosanna! Music.

He has received reviews for nine of his albums from Cross Rhythms. Those reviewed were Shalom Jerusalem in 1995, Holy Fire in 1997, Jerusalem Arise! in 1999, Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem in 2002, The Watchman in 2005, Worship from the Heart of Israel in 2006, Praise Adonai in 2007, Live: A Night of Extravagant Worship in 2008, and Desert Rain in 2010,^[5] which was also reviewed by Worship Leader.^[6] The 2013 album, Your Great Name, was reviewed by CCM Magazine.^[7]

Personal life[edit]

Wilbur resides in Jacksonville, Florida. He is married to Luanne Wilbur. They have two sons named Nathan and Joel.^[8] Joel Wilbur is married to singer Sharon Chernoff Wilbur. Sharon Wilbur is the daughter of former Lamb member Joel Chernoff.^[9]

Gathering together to stand in support of Israel and the Jewish people, the annual event "An Evening To Honor Israel" was hosted by Beit Yeshua (Curtis Loftin and Doug Williams, Founders) in Lincolnton, NC. Together with the ministries of Highway To Zion (Cathy Hargett) and Love For His People (Steve Martin), we gave thanks to the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) for what He has done in regathering the Jews back to the land of Israel.

With song, dance, and a message by Messianic leader Warren Marcus, the evening was an encouragement for all to share unwavering love and appreciation to those who have brought us the Messiah and His Word to the nations. We are a blessed people because of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).
