Charles J. Diesen, MD, discusses, from a medical perspective, the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth and what some theologians and historians say really happened on that long-ago day atop Golgotha and the resurrection that followed.
Dr. Dietzen, an Indianapolis pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist and founder of Timmy Global Health, explains the Roman practice of execution, the physiological aspects of Jesus' death and a medical analysis of opposing theories on the resurrection.
He also discusses what medical and scientific analyses reveal about the Shroud of Turin, an ancient linen many believe to be the burial cloth of Jesus. This presentation included Roman-period artifacts and a life-sized copy of the Shroud of Turin.

Digging Deeper - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Digging Deeper
Steve Martin

"Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God's way of salvation is made available through the Jews.” (John 4:21-22, THE MESSAGE)

Archeologists in Israel are continually digging. Digging deeper, looking for buried treasure, artifacts from centuries before, which are buried under layers of rubble, covered with rock, dirt, stone, and accumulated debris.

Why do they spend hours, days, even decades searching, looking, sweating away in the heat of the afternoon sun? Because people before them, who had been on the same search and find mission, have made great discoveries of those societies which had previously lived, and they are convinced that if they keep removing the tons of dirt, they will further uncover the wealth of knowledge and truth still awaiting their discovery.

As these ancient artifacts are being continually revealed, at the same time the Lord continues to unfold Himself, His plans and His mission in all the nations.

As His heart keeps pounding strong for the restoration of Israel in the natural, at the same time the parallel restoration of His Body of believers, the Church, is being pumped through with His saving blood. What He is doing in the natural, particularly regarding the return of the Jews to the land of Promise, Israel, to that very place of His promised prophetic placement, at the same time He is also bringing a powerful, spiritual, saving restoration among the Gentile nations.

At some point soon these two will together merge, fully emerging as the One New Man, both Jew and Gentile, becoming the complete Body of Christ, the fulfilled Bride of the Messiah Yeshua, HaMashiach.

When Yeshua (Jesus) came to earth the first time, having been born of Jewish lineage, he grew up living among those chosen by His Father God, to further advance the reality that salvation would come through the Jews. From the days of Patriarch Abraham, himself called by the same God to be His light among the nations, the eternal plan of the Almighty brought further fulfillment as Yeshua walked the same land of Israel, bringing to pass the centuries of prophetic, Messianic proclamations of that Who was to come.

Hebron - burial site of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of Israel

Digging deeper into the wells of history are these archeologists, daily uncovering the proven truths spoken by the Jewish prophets with the Word of God in the land of Israel. These very stones further revealed are crying out the glory of God.

While at this very same time as the uncovered findings continue in Israel, there is a miraculous, restorative, resurrection power of the Holy Spirit going on, moving among the Gentile groups, revealing the long-time buried treasure, ancient jewels of truth. He is uncovering our Jewish roots, having once been lost due to the replacement theology of so-called Christian men and women in the early centuries of the Church.

Our Lord is restoring both Jew and Gentile, digging deeper to release the wells that have been covered up. For the love of the world, He is preparing His army of believers from among these two groups, in order to complete His salvation of the people in these end of days.

Therefore, let us all be willing, watching, and working to be a part of this eternal restoration plan.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

"Women of God - Rise Up and Answer the Call!" - Dehavilland Ford, The Elijah List

Dehavilland Ford: "Women of God - Rise Up and Answer the Call!"

The Elijah List Feb 28, 2019

Steve ShultzIntro From Julie A. Smith:
I so concur with this most powerful word for women from Dehavilland Ford. God is raising up women to be culture and societal reformers in the lands He is calling them to.
As women, we often think we are limited to maybe one area of influence and that's where our calling stops. But not so! Women in the Church are being called to multiple venues at the same time to have impact not only in ministry, but also in education, media, government, and so on. Women of God – you are being called not only to one area of influence, but multiple mountains that will work and connect together. This will bring culture shifts and set many women free and into a new calling in Christ.
And know this – what you do to help even one woman will be multiplied many times over to other women...just like a domino effect!
This word by Dehavilland is on the very heart of God in this hour for women:
Many of us will never understand what it's like to have a price on our head for the Gospel. However, God in His mercy is calling forth a remnant of women out the greatest oppression, and healing their wounds. He is calling His Church to wash the wounds of a hurting society made up of the most oppressed women and children. That night, God confirmed this to me in a dream.
Women of God, this is a NOW word to get behind and start walking into! Be empowered in the new territories and places of influence God is calling you to pioneer! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

HR

I can remember it like it was yesterday. I heard a knock at my door very late at night. It was a young pastor friend of mine who was seeking shelter because the police were looking for him to arrest him. His crime: helping a young woman escape her Muslim parents who allegedly wanted to kill her for converting to Christianity.
This young lady was protected and would go on to fight her parents in court and had to suffer many trials for her conversion. She and I later became very good friends. As the years went on and life became busy, I lost contact with her (mostly due to her trying to protect herself and others). After a few years of separation, while watching Christian television, I rediscovered my friend, Rifqa Bary. She had matured into a vibrant young woman, and I watched her boldly share her story of this on a national TV show in the USA called The 700 Club! In spite of her life still being under assault, she shared on the program how she escaped Islam and how God is now using her testimony.
A Dream of the Rising Remnant
After watching this, I went to bed with a deep heart of gratitude before the Lord for preserving her life and allowing me to see the fruit of it. Many of us will never understand what it's like to have a price on our head for the Gospel. However, God in His mercy is calling forth a remnant of women out the greatest oppression and healing their wounds. He is calling His Church to wash the wounds of a hurting society made up of the most oppressed women and children. That night, God confirmed this to me in a dream. (Photo via Pixabay)
In the dream, I was at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, at an outdoor prayer gathering with thousands of people. A spiritual father of mine, Lou Engle, was handed the microphone and began to say, "It's time for the women preachers to arise! If you're called and you're a woman preacher, get up here." Suddenly thousands began running and charging the stage. My spiritual father then said, "OK, I guess I'm done here." I then said to him, "You're not done, because it's time for you to release your mantle, like Elijah, on a company of Elishas, except they are women. This is not going to just mark them, but brand them."
I then got on an elevator to go into a room where I saw hundreds of Muslim women dressed in burqas, who I knew were empty and spiritually hungry. They were waiting to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We began praying for the women, and the dream ended.
Can't You Talk Louder, God?
Dream Interpretation: Wake Up Sleeping Beauty!
The dream took place in America at a memorial to President Abraham Lincoln – who is recognized for his work in freeing the slaves – because God is releasing an "Emancipation Proclamation" to women preachers. Their prayers have come up as a memorial before God, and they are being called to take their place on the stage of history. The older generation of preachers are not done, until they raise up their sons AND daughters. God wants spiritual fathers and mothers to pass their mantle to their double-portion daughters as well, to preach with Holy Spirit power. The women in burqas represent not only the impact this will have in the Middle East, but women being emancipated from every religious bondage through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
In short, I believe this dream represents how God is waking up His sleeping beauty, the Church, and how women will play a key role in liberating the nations. The mandate of Joel 2:16 is to break this bondage through repentance. God called His servant Joel to call the nation of Israel to come together in the place of fasting and repentance for the sins of the nation.
How to Break the Bondage
It is interesting to me because, as women, we often ask our children to repent when they've done wrong, or our spouses when they've made mistakes. Well, I believe God is asking women to take the first step in repentance. Why must women repent? In America, we opened the doors to feminism and liberalism – two movements that resulted in the abortion crisis, all done in the name of having rights to our own bodies. As a result, over 60 million babies have been aborted. Women must take responsibility as priests before the Lord in brokenness for what breaks our heavenly Father's heart. In response, God will act on behalf of our prayers. (Photo via Pixabay)
In conclusion, I have a charge for the women who are reading this: You may not have a major platform before men, but you have the most powerful weapon in your hands; it's called prayer and fasting! I believe fasting and prayer are forerunners to revival and awakening – that's where Joel 2:16 and Acts 2:17 come into play. God pouring out His Spirit on all flesh is a result of the Church being aligned with God's heart. Do you want to see revival in your city, your public school, and your workplace? It starts with you and me in prayer and fasting. This is the place God will anoint you with power.
Acts 1:8 says, "...but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." This power will come upon a fasting and praying people because you can't break the back of Islam or abortion (or any stronghold for that matter) in the natural. It's not enough to be a popular speaker or charismatic preacher. Beloved, you must have the power of God.
This power is already being poured upon women all over the world and God is visiting Muslims in dreams and revealing the Messiah. God is rescuing young girls from sex slavery and using fearless, laid-down lovers to partner with Him, and many of them are women. God is calling housewives and businesswomen to humble themselves so He can use them as His witnesses in the earth and be used in this great move of God in every sphere of influence!
A Charge to Women
Women of God, my charge to you is this: In the name of Jesus, take your place! You have a voice before Heaven that now will be used on Earth. You are emancipated and are being empowered to preach the Gospel! Women, its time to answer the call, to run the race set before you and contend for an epic outpouring. Take up the charge and preach the Gospel. It is Psalm 68:11-12(NASB) which says, "The Lord gives the command; the women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host: 'Kings of armies flee, they flee, and she who remains at home will divide the spoil!'" Women, when you respond to this call you will impact your homes and societies! What Say You? Now Think On This by Steve Martin

What Say You?
Steve Martin

"But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man;” (Jesus, from Matthew 15:18-20, NASU)

For this message, I will get right to the point.

The ones who criticize others generally don’t pray for others. If you are continually praying for someone or some situation, you will not be critical of them or that. But rather you will want good to come to about, rather than evil because your heart now cares for them.

When you pray for another, rather than tear them down, it gives the Lord the opportunity to change their heart too, because you are no longer joining with Satan in accusing them.

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.”
(Revelation 12:10-11, NASU)

What is your prayer life like? Or does your criticism rule your life?

In the past, I regret and repented of those times when I spoke evil against another, be it in the religious, secular, or political arenas. It didn’t matter if it was directly or behind their back.

Even if I “may have been in the right” in speaking out against a wrong done by the other, if my heart wasn’t right, then the spoken word from the heart didn’t make it right.

Louis & Lila Martin
Personally, I am a very quiet man. Some because of the way I was raised with my dad. He too was a quiet man. Another reason is that I am very aware that we will give an account for every word we speak.
Paul wrote to those in Rome, who had every right to rail against the government, the rulers, or those who were feeding them to the lions. He told them not even of their believing brother (or sister) are they to judge one another.
“But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
For it is written, "AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD." So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:10-12, NASU)

It is not just in the latter part of God’s Word, which some Christians only read (the New Testament), but even in the times of the prophets and kings, the instruction was given from heaven to watch your mouth.

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep water, a gushing torrent, a fountain of wisdom. It is not good to be partial to the guilty and thus deprive the innocent of justice. A fool’s words get him into fights; yes, his mouth calls out for a beating. A fool’s mouth is his ruin; his words are a trap for him. A slanderer’s words are tasty morsels; they slide right down into the belly.”
(Proverbs 18:4-8, Complete Jewish Bible)

Have you ever cringed when you hear another speak badly against another? Doesn’t it affect your spirit to stand and listen, and take part in it also? I have gotten to the point where my heart grieves, especially when a believer rails against another believer, whether it be the rabbi, pastor, elected official, teacher. It seems no one in our “exemplary society” is exempt from being cursed, ridiculed, or maligned by another. After all, it is our right, is it not? Free speech you say?

Is it really our right to spout off against anyone or anything? I think not. That is what the Bible declares also.

Next time you have the urge, the temptation, the opportunity to speak against another, stop for a moment and realize your words bring death, not lift.

Have we forgotten the old saying, “If words could kill, I would be dead.”

And I still have to remember, when being on the receiving side of the cursing and criticism, to recite these words that my good mother taught me when growing up, “Stick and stones may break my bones but words may never harm me.” And yet, sad to say, they really do. It is because our words spoken against another gives the enemy of our soul ammunition to tear further down that one which we have just aligned our self with the devil.

May we not find ourselves being on Satan’s side. If we stand accusing others, then we have already done so.

As quoted above from Scripture, Satan stands before God, as he did back then in regard to the righteous man Job, and continues to do so now, day and night, accusing the saints of God. Do we align ourselves with him, or stand with our brothers and sisters because they too are the ones whom Jesus our Lord, the Messiah, bled and died for?

Stop the criticism. Repent of the critical spirit. Get your act together as the family of God should be so we can get on with what He has given us the job to do.

Pray for your rabbi. Pray for your pastor. What kind of burden do they have to carry each day, caring for your good? And especially pray for the worship leaders and cantors, even if they don’t always sing your favorite verse or song every Saturday or Sunday, especially the way you would. (If only they were as perfect as you are.)

As the Bible also says, pray also for our political leaders. We all know that they need the wisdom and righteous of the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) working in and through their minds, hearts, and souls.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-5, NKJV)

Pray for others. Life them up, and cease being among those who are tearing down.

I like what Toby Mac sings, “Speak life!”

So, as they say here in the South (and maybe elsewhere?) - “What say you?”

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

With Even More Resolve - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

With Even More Resolve
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“For the Lord God helps Me, therefore, I am not disgraced; therefore, I have set My face like flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.” (Isaiah 50:7, NASU)

The Webster dictionary gives these synonyms for the word RESOLVE, when used as a noun - decidedness, decision, decisiveness, determination, determinedness, firmness, granite, purposefulness, resoluteness, resolution, stick-to-itiveness.

Resolve - something we must have in these days. Resolve - even more so must we possess in the days and years to come.

As our ultimate example and the One we are commanded to follow, Jesus knew He had come for a distinct purpose and was determined to complete the mission, at all costs. When the time came for Him to move on it, He did not flinch, back down, or seek an escape route out of there. He had the resolve, the firmness, the determination to do what it took to get the job done.

As the apostle Luke records in chapter 9:51, “When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;” (NASU) Or as the NKJV translates it, “Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem.”

Isaiah did rightly prophesy about the Messiah Yeshua as written above, “I have set My face like flint.” That is exactly what He did.

To put this in full context, one must read the other verses that come before and go beyond that verse. It gives a wider picture of what He was committed to do.

"The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning; He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away. I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

For the Lord God will help Me; therefore, I will not be disgraced; therefore, I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed. He is near who justifies Me; who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me. Surely the Lord God will help Me; Who is he who will condemn Me? Indeed, they will all grow old like a garment; the moth will eat them up.

Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God.” (Isaiah 50:4-10 NKJV)
Even as we are commanded to grow deeper in love for one another in our hearts, at the same time we will be required to stand stronger because of that love with more resolve and a greater resolute heart to press on, to push through, to not stop until we have completed our assigned mission from above.

As any toughened combat soldier, long before prepared to engage in battle; or the proven athlete, measured and strengthened through years of practice for his competitive field; or the years of perfected, intense time given the trained surgeon, now performing through the grueling hours in the operating room – these similar years of ourselves being trained, groomed, and prepared for this hour must show itself strong as we stand courageously and boldly in these days of increasing pressure to bow down and give up.

The enemy of our soul continues to use the masses to attempt to tear down, destroy, and eliminate the eternal truths of God Almighty’s Word. And as a roaring lion, he will not stop in his attempts to wear down the saints of God, doing so until we will give up. But we must not give up, and instead stand strong with the Lion of the tribe of Judah, with firmness,  decisiveness, and a granite will to hold the line, advance the truth, and see the war won, as it has forever and a day been recorded in the final book of the Bible.

With even more resolve, pressing forward to the mark with increasing strength daily, spending more time in prayer with our Lord, more time in His Word, and more time with His people, we are together working for His Kingdom to come.

I pray you are staying in the battle, standing firm together, committed to the end to see it happen. Do so with even more resolve.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).
