God is Speaking in Your Dreams — Do You Understand what He's Saying? by James W. Goll

Did you know that God uses a language that is tailor made to speak directly to you? After all, He created you, so that shouldn't come as too big a surprise. The inventor of language is a master communicator. Not only does He reveal Himself plainly to all of mankind in scripture, He also speaks to us personally in dreams and visions. Do you understand what He is saying?

 

Dreams and visions are often the language full of emotions and therefore contain much symbolism. We must learn to take our interpretations first from Scripture and then from our own lives. Throughout Scripture God is consistent with His symbolic language. The symbolism He uses in Genesis will be similar to that found in Revelation. In fact, one of the fundamental principles of biblical interpretation is the "law of first use." This simply means that how a word or image or symbol is used in its first appearance in Scripture is a key to how it should be interpreted throughout the Bible. This consistency in symbolic language runs true in our own lives as well.

 

The Language of Symbols

 

Let me explain a little further. In the Bible, the number six often is used as a symbol for mankind. How do we know this? Refer back to the first chapter of Genesis. What happened on the sixth day of creation? Man was created. Day six is the day of man. Now let's go to the other end of the Bible, to the Book of Revelation. There we find the reference to the number 666, which is plainly identified as "the number of a man" (Rev. 13:18 NKJV). In the Greek there is no definite article preceding the word for "man" in this verse, so it could also be translated simply as "the number of man." The number 666 represents a false trinity, the exaltation of man — humanism being worshiped as a god. In both Genesis and Revelation, therefore, the number six is associated with mankind.

 

Here is another similar example. What happened on the seventh day of creation? God rested because He had finished His creative work. Therefore, the number seven is the number of rest or completion. According to the four Gospels combined, how many statements did Jesus make from the cross? Seven. The last of these was, "It is finished!" (see John 19:30). Jesus had finished His work; He had completed His mission. Now He could rest. Throughout the Bible the number seven is symbolically associated with rest and completion.

 

Handling Personal Revelation

 

A similar principle applies when God speaks revelation to you. When He first introduces a word or a symbol or an image to you in a dream, you may not understand it in the beginning. But you will get it eventually, and that word, symbol, or image will become part of a pattern. Once it is introduced into your spiritual alphabet, it will become consistent in it's meaning for you.

 

For example, let's say that you have a dream in which an apple appears and you discern through the Holy Spirit that it symbolizes Israel because Zechariah 2:8 refers to Israel as the "apple" of God's eye. Once the image of the apple has entered your spiritual alphabet as a symbol for Israel, you can be confident that whenever that image appears in a future dream, the dream has something to do with the nation of Israel. God is consistent with His revelatory symbolism.

 

Three Realms for Interpretation of Symbols

 

When seeking interpretation of symbolic dream and vision language, the first place you should look always is in Scripture. The Bible is full of parables and allegories from which to draw types, shadows, and symbols. Here are some examples: the mustard seed as a metaphor for faith (see Matt. 13:31-32); incense representing the prayers of the saints (see Rev. 5:8; 8:3-4); seed as a symbol for the Word of God (see Luke 8:11); and candlesticks symbolizing the church (see Rev. 1:20). If your dream has the same symbolic image as one found in the Bible, chances are it has the same meaning.

 

After Scripture, a second place to look for interpretation of your revelatory symbols is in colloquial expressions that fill our memory bank. The Holy Spirit turns these into pictorial language. God takes these "sayings" and idioms and uses them to speak spiritual truth. One example of this is found in Judges 7:9-15 where a barley cake appears to Gideon in a dream. Since Gideon had spent much of his life as a thresher of wheat and barley, the barley cake was a symbol from his colloquial spiritual alphabet and had distinct meaning to him.

 

In the same way, God will speak to you with colloquial expressions that are familiar to you but might not be to someone else. If you are from the northern or northeastern part of the country, your colloquialisms will be different than those of someone from the Deep South, and God will speak to you accordingly.

 

The third realm for interpreting these prophetic symbols comes from our own personal revelatory alphabet. This is similar to the second realm in that the objects or symbols do not mean the same thing to you as they would to someone else. Even in the Bible the same symbol or image sometimes means something different depending on how it is used or who receives it. These exceptions, however, do not violate the law of first use.

 

God often works more than one way at a time. And sometimes the symbol or image involved has more than one facet or aspect, which allows for some variations in meaning. Context determines interpretation.

 

The Bible uses the image of a lamb in several different ways. In Isaiah, the Messiah is presented as a Lamb led to the slaughter. John's Gospel presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd and His disciples as little lambs. The Book of Revelation reveals Jesus Christ the Lamb as a Conqueror. Spiritually speaking, all three of these images are true to a lamb's nature: it is led to the slaughter, it follows its shepherd, and it conquers in the end by walking in humility because the meek will inherit the earth.

 

Actual Versus Visual

 

Insights, revelations, warnings, and prophecies from the Lord may come in supernatural visual dreams or in actual dreams. Visual symbolic dreams are visual revelations that do not involve as much active participation on the part of the dreamer as with an actual visitation from the Lord. The dreamer simply observes and receives the message. These visual dreams may contain more symbols, mysteries, and obscurities than do other types of revelation.

 

Actual dreams are those in which God's tangible presence is evident in some way. To see the Lord in a dream is visual, but for the Lord to manifest Himself to you in a dream is actual. If you dream something angelic and sense that same presence when you wake up, it was more than just a visual symbolic dream. The angels were probably actually present. Quite often this will reveal itself in the form of a riveting awareness all over your body of a divine presence in the room. But if there was no such manifested presence when you awakened, then the dream was simply visual, although it may still contain a wonderful message from God.

 

A manifestation of blessing, healing, deliverance, or endowment of power requires an actual visitation from the Lord in some form. Such manifestations involve an impartation of God's anointing, which will manifest in the natural realm. Therefore, an actual impartation occurs and the person actively participates although his or her body is asleep.

 

A Very Special Personal Encounter

 

I have vivid memories of a very special dream encounter that I refer to as "the Bread of His Presence" dream. In one of them I was carrying loaves of bread and was searching for the little mint-green blanket that belonged to our daughter Rachel. Rachel loved that blanket and for quite a few years carried it with her just about everywhere she went. In my dream, I found Rachel's blanket and wrapped the loaves of bread in it. I held them closely to my chest and noticed that the bottom of each loaf was a little satin napkin that looked like a diaper.

 

This was more than a symbolic dream only because there was an actual presence in the room. I was asleep, but the Holy Spirit was very active. Even asleep I was talking out loud and prophesying. This was more than just a message I passively received. I declared, "Just as we parents learn to love, nurture, care for, and cherish our newborn child, so should we as believers care for, love, and cherish the bread of God's presence; then revival will come."

 

When I woke up, my arms were outstretched over my chest as though I was clutching those loaves of bread tightly to my chest as if they were my very own babies, wrapped in my daughter's blanket. Even as I woke I heard myself prophesying, "When we as parents will care for, love, and nourish the bread of His presence, like a parent does his newborn child, then we will have revival." In fact, I was the one who was being revived. I loved God's presence just as I had our newborn child. Though I did not see any angels in the room upon waking, the manifested presence of God was so strong you could almost cut it with a knife! Yes, let's love the bread of His presence!

 

Some of our experiences are full of symbolism and others…well, they are just flat out another dimension. God shows up and shows off. When that happens, how do you write that down? With as much emotive passion as possible! Yes, God Himself still comes to visit His kids! So open up your heart and receive from the God who loves to encounter you in your dreams — He is speaking your language!

This is a "wow" word for 2018 and beyond. I am going to keep this real short, as this latest article by Lana Vawser is quite lengthy. l recommend reading and rereading it at least a few times to take it all in.

Many prophetic voices have said that this new year will be a year of promises fulfilled with great fruit being produced through us...I think we are all ready for that!

I will leave you with this prophetic decree from Lana:

I prophesy over you, in the name of Jesus, that it is HARVEST TIME! I decree over you, in the name of Jesus, that 2018 will be your greatest year of fruitfulness THUS FAR! I prophesy over you, in the name of Jesus, that there will be SO MUCH FRUIT you will be left in awe and wonder. All the seeds you have been sowing from years and years ago to present day, you are about to see HARVESTED. In 2018, there will be incredible acceleration of fruitfulness and harvest and new, sweet wine.

Amen...let's receive that in Jesus name!

"2018: The Year of Family, Fruitfulness and the Fear of the Lord"

About 4 months ago, the Lord began to speak to me about 2018. The Lord highlighted to me that, "2018 will be the year of family, fruitfulness and the fear of the Lord."

What the Lord is going to do in 2018, is going to leave God's people and the world in awe and wonder of who He is. 2018 is going to be a year of the unexpected in many ways and will leave people and nations in awe of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

As we move into 2018, I believe that the Lord is asking for a deeper level of yieldedness. A deeper level of trust that says, "Lord, whatever Your way, I am ALL in. Even if it looks like I didn't expect, I am ALL IN!"

Family and Fire: Dreams Do Come True!

The Lord spoke to me many months ago concerning this new year, and firstly about 2018 being the year of FAMILY. I have sat on this word since then, just waiting on Him and seeking His heart. What the Lord showed me was that in 2018, FIRE is going to come upon FAMILY in a way we have never seen before.

He showed me His fire falling on individual family units and the family of God. The fire of God is coming to PURGE and IGNITE. These were the two themes that I saw happening in individual family units and in the family of God. I felt the Spirit of God whisper to me that: "2018 is going to be a year of INCREASE IN FAMILY." The increase may not look "how" you expect, but God is building within family—both individual family units and the family of God.

Some of the increase is going to come through shaking. Some of the increase is going to come through restoration. Some of the increase is going to come through promises fulfilled. Some of the increase is going to come through purging; but these processes will accomplish—in the family units and family of God in 2018—increase, intimacy and maturity.

I had a vision where I saw Jesus unraveling a banner over family units in 2018. The words written on the banner were, "Dreams Really Do Come True!"

"The fire of God's love through this revelation is going to unite, transform, mature and birth a greater LOVE and DEMONSTRATION of honor for one another in the family of God."

Many long-awaited promises and healing of family units are going to manifest in 2018. I saw many families that have been attacked, many families that have been in the valley and many families that have been broken—and they've been believing for the promises of God without any fruit of those promises manifesting. I saw many families that have faced cycles of brokenness and pain, heartache, disappointment and lack of breakthrough or change, but then SUDDENLY meeting their tipping point moment in 2018.

"But Lord, Your endless love stretches from one eternity to the other, unbroken and unrelenting towards those who fear You and those who bow facedown in awe before You! Your faithfulness to keep every gracious promise You have made passes from parents, to children, to grandchildren and beyond." (Psalm 103:17The Passion Translation)

Harvest and fruitfulness is coming to the family unit in 2018 unlike anything seen before. The power of God that is going to be demonstrated in the family unit in 2018 is going to leave many in awe and wonder of God and His goodness. That is why the enemy has been so relentless in going after the seeds of promise in the family unit. The seeds in family are about to spring forth and they will bear long-lasting fruit. For many, by the end of 2018, their families will be unrecognizable in the most glorious ways because of the work of His hand.

Many families have lost hope because of the onslaught in 2017 and have felt like nothing is ever going to shift. In 2018, God is going to show Himself strong in the restoration, increase and fruitfulness that will manifest. No longer will many family units feel like a dry wasteland; but by the power of His Spirit bringing transformation and healing, dry wastelands are turning to fruitful vineyards.

I prophesy over the dry wastelands in the family unit. That in 2018 those wastelands will turn to fruitful vineyards. Where there has been dryness, I prophesy a great outpouring of His Spirit—rivers in the wasteland in Jesus' name. God is doing something completely new in the family unit (Isaiah 43:19).

Running Together – United in the Vision

The Lord showed me such UNITY coming to many family units in 2018, and I heard Him whisper, "2018, family units are united in the vision."

I saw a "getting on board" with the vision from Heaven happening as a TEAM. Where the enemy has come and attempted to separate and only one or two have been standing with the vision and carrying the vision (praying and believing for the other family members to come on board) I saw the Holy Spirit doing a swift, deep work within the family unit. Suddenly, the entire family unit will be running with the vision from the Lord.

I then saw the Holy Spirit beginning to release new vision and blueprints to ENTIRE family units. I saw the Holy Spirit whispering to family members, individually, the same vision—the same blueprint. Family members were having the "same dream" and "same encounter" with the Lord that was confirming the vision. I heard the Holy Spirit decreeing: "You shall RUN AS A FAMILY."

I saw a great awakening coming upon individuals in the family unit to know their giftings and their role in the vision and to run in what God has called them to. As they did, each part was working beautifully, displaying the beautiful masterpiece He was painting. I saw such a pioneering spirit falling upon family units in 2018. This fresh vision and blueprint being released is going to be the vehicle for a great outpouring of God's Spirit in the areas where He is targeting this vision. (Photo via Unsplash)

"No longer will many feel like they are running alone, but the power of My Spirit's work within their family unit will see a miracle of unity and healing take place, and families will RUN TOGETHER with the vision I release."

Incredible amounts of provision will be released to FAMILIES in the RUNNING TOGETHER. The "running together" of these families will also become a testimony and model for other families. Many of these family units will teach and equip other families in pioneering what the Lord is speaking and running with His vision.

"Then the LORD replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.'" (Habakkuk 2:2)

Children of Promise

The Lord spoke to me many months ago that at the end of 2017 and into 2018, that many families were going to receive their "child of promise".

Many who have been believing and holding onto the promise of God for the children that He has promised them, are going to see their promise received.

"Children are God's love gift..." (Psalm 127:3 The Passion Translation)

I felt the Lord show me that many who have been waiting for their child/children of promise, have been on the verge of giving up and losing hope and despair in the promise. But I want to encourage you: HOLD ON, for the faithfulness of God is going to be seen. 

Miraculous turnarounds, conceptions and increase will take place in 2017 and into 2018.

Shaking in 2018

"It was a fire of furious love; unquenchable intimacy with Him unlike anything known before. This fire was exploding His Word within them."

There is a shaking happening in the earth right now and there is a shaking that has begun in the Body of Christ. This shaking is going to continue into 2018. I want to encourage you that the shaking is not something to fear. The shaking is not to harm you; the shaking is to increase, unite, awaken and mature the family of God.

The Lord is shaking everything that can be shaken. He is rearranging, He is shifting and He is rebuilding. The shaking is going to bring increase. The shaking is bringing a maturity and a strengthening to the Body of Christ that is needed to carry the harvest that is coming.

The Lord showed me that a lot of what He is going to do in 2018 is going to be unexpected. It may look completely different to what you thought or anticipated but again, I felt the invitation from the Spirit of God to trust in His way.

"As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him." (2 Samuel 22:31)

In 2018, there will be a great divine rearranging to set the stage for the new day! I have been prophesying that a new day is upon us and it is harvest time. We are going to see a move of God upon the earth, unlike anything we have seen before. The Lord wants us to be able to carry the harvest that is going to come in.

The Fire will Cleanse and Purge

So in 2018, the Lord showed me fire coming to the FAMILY OF GOD. His fire is coming in greater ways to purify, cleanse and purge. I saw the fire of God coming, and was awakening and birthing holiness in the Body of Christ. I saw the fire of God going "beneath the surface" into the "hidden things" and beginning to burn things away. He was cleansing impurities, He was cleansing offenses, He was purging wrong foundations, and He was burning away snares. He was shaking everything that could be shaken.

"Now this phrase 'once and for all' clearly indicates the final removal of things that are shaking, that is, the old order, so only what is unshakeable will remain. Since we are receiving our rights, to an unshakeable Kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights His heart, as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!" (Hebrews 12:27-29 The Passion Translation)

As He showed me this shaking and purging, it was not something to fear. It was glorious; it was BEAUTIFUL! It was the cleansing and purifying of God to bring us to a deeper place of UNITY and ONENESS as the family of God. It is to usher in the awakening burning so deep within the people of God. It's a beckoning to stand with brothers and sisters in Christ; laying down offenses, jealousy, competition, bitterness, unforgiveness, wrong motives, striving, backbiting and lack of honor, so we may stand in LOVE and HONOR of one another.

It may get messy before it gets better, but the Spirit of God is working deeply and raising up His people, shoulder to shoulder. The army of God will be decreeing together: "AS ONE FOR JESUS!" I saw the fire of God burning away the "games" that have been played within the Church for too long, and rising up the family of God as one to shine with His love and honor for one another and move forward together in PURITY, INTEGRITY and CHARACTER.

The beautiful and glorious thing about His fire was that everything and everyone it touched was being marked by His LOVE in a way they had never experienced. As the fire of His love fell and purged and purified, the all consuming fire of His presence birthed forth an even greater REVELATION and MANIFESTATION of John 17 and the prayer of Jesus in verse 17:21-23:

"I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as You and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with Us so that the world will recognize that You sent Me. For the very glory You have given to Me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that We enjoy. You live fully in Me and now I live fully in them so that they will experience perfect unity, and the world will be convinced that You have sent Me, for they will see that You love each one of them with the same passionate love that You have for Me." (The Passion Translation)

Increase of Identity and Revelation

The Lord has been doing a deep work within the Body of Christ in the area of identity. He's awakening His people to the beautiful reality of their identity in Him. The Lord showed me an even greater increase of identity revelation that is going to explode in 2018. I specifically saw this revelation coming out of the glorious truth of Galatians 2:20:

"My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of His Cross crucified me with Him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives His life through me — we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who LOVES ME SO MUCH that He gave Himself for me, and dispenses His life into mine!" (The Passion Translation emphasis mine)

"What the Lord showed me was that in 2018, FIRE is going to come upon FAMILY in a way we have never seen before."

I prophesy, in the name of Jesus that in 2018, an increase of identity revelation is going to come through the deeper revelation of the Cross and the love of Jesus—that He gave Himself for His people and we now live as ONE WITH HIM!

This deeper revelation for many in the family of God is going to transform everything. The fire of God's love through this revelation is going to unite, transform, mature and birth a greater LOVE and DEMONSTRATION of honor for one another in the family of God.

"For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends" (John 15:13 The Passion Translation). (The translator for the Passion Translation, Brian Simmons, notes here in the footnotes that the Aramaic word for "friends" is actually "family" or "relatives".)

"Be free from controversial or pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don't allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let His mindset become your motivation." (Philippians 2:3-5 The Passion Translation)

Demonstrations of His Power

The Lord has been speaking to me so much about the fear of God being restored to the Church beginning in greater ways in 2018. The Lord showed me this happening through signs and wonders. Huge, amazing demonstrations of His power are going to manifest—in the UNEXPECTED ways of God.

The Lord is about to BLOW YOUR MIND in 2018! He is going to do things you have never imagined. You are going to see Him move in nations in amazing ways.

In 2018, there will be greater demonstrations of how the Lord uses the things that the world considers foolish—the unexpected and lowly things—to display His power. He will restore the fear and awe of God to the Church (and the world) through the display of His glory.

"But God chose them who the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world's eyes – nobodies – so that He would shame the somebodies. For He chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God's presence." (1 Corinthians 1:27-29 The Passion Translation)

Going Back to School with the Holy Spirit

I heard the Lord say, "Get ready to go back to school with the Holy Spirit."

I felt the Lord drawing His people deeper into a place of "learning" and I saw Him giving people the desire to learn. I saw the Holy Spirit opening up the Word of God and revealing the deeper meanings of revelatory truths in Scripture in greater ways. He was unraveling wrong mindsets, breaking off deceptions, and giving His people eyes to see and ears to hear. He was giving them encounters with His heart.

God is unleashing greater understanding of the wisdom of God (James 1), His ways (Isaiah 55:8), and the ability to perceive what He is doing. His ways will be understood in a whole new way. We will have the ability to recognize Him moving when He moves in unfamiliar and unexpected ways! In this process, the Lord showed me that we MUST be willing, humble and teachable to what He wants to show us. For many, there will be a lot of "unlearning" taking place and an awakening to the truth of Scripture.

A New Season of Isaiah 6

About 6 or so months ago, the Lord spoke to me one line over and over: "A new season of Isaiah 6. A new season of Isaiah 6."

A whole new realm and increase of God's glory is being entered into. We will be seeing His glory in the Church that is going to leave the people of God undone. People will be on their faces, seeing the King in His glory. It will be unlike anything we have ever experienced before. Many will be entering into a whole new waterfall of revelation and realm of encountering the heart of God, and His ways and language for communicating.

There will be a rise of personal encounters creating deeper levels of intimacy, deeper purification, deeper yieldedness, and a deeper level of revelation of who He is. We will have a deeper level of receiving the Rhema Word of God—all flooding into our lives through throne room encounters. (Photo via Unsplash)

I had a vision where I saw the Body of Christ crying and decreeing, "Our hearts are burning within us!" They were crying out with such delight, such awe and such passion: "My heart is on fire! My heart is on fire! Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty! The One who was, the One who is, and the One who is to come! Holy! Holy! Holy!"

I then I heard the Lord decree: "Fire in your bones. Fire in your bones." I saw the fire of God come flooding from His heart as He sat on the throne and was CONSUMING the people of God; consuming their hearts.

Song of Songs 8:6-7 filled the atmosphere: "Fasten Me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as My prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grace, all consuming as the very flames of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being. Rivers of pain and persecution will never extinguish this flame. Endless floods will be unable to quench this raging fire that burns within you. Everything will be consumed. It will stop at nothing as you yield everything to this furious fire until it won't even seem to you like a sacrifice anymore." (The Passion Translation)

There was such a weighty impartation being released to God's people that was depositing the fire of God—the fire of His love within His people, like they had never experienced. Such awe of who He is was burning within them, and NOTHING was able to stand against this fire. Everything was being consumed as He was birthing vessels that were consumed and yielded to Him in a deeper way than they ever thought possible. Hunger for Him and Him alone was exploding all around. It was a fire that would never be extinguished; a fire that would never be put out. It was a fire of furious love; unquenchable intimacy with Him, unlike anything known before. This fire was exploding His Word within them.

The people began to cry out like Jeremiah in Jeremiah 20:9: "But if I say, 'I will not mention His Word or speak anymore in His name' His Word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in My bones. I am weary of holding it in, indeed, I cannot."

"The shaking is not to harm you, the shaking is to increase, unite, awaken and mature the family of God."

I believe the Lord has already begun this work, but it is going to INCREASE in greater ways in 2018. Like Ezekiel's bones, He is going to make you come alive in the revelation that He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The fear of God falling is going to bring you to life in greater ways to carry His fire and have encounters with the power of God! A season of greater revelation, prophetic insight and flow is being heralded so loudly. His voice is going to be heard and resounded louder in the earth than has ever been heard before. Out of these life-changing throne room encounters, new assignments and commissioning will take place for God's people.

There will be no striving; no trying to make anything happen. As we lay low before Him, He will position, commission and release His people into different areas. They will be in new places and positions; carrying His fire and the Words of His heart. Their mouths will be full and carrying an unquenchable fire that will change atmospheres, cities and nations.

Your Greatest Year of Fruitfulness Thus Far

The Lord spoke to me to end this word with a decree from Amos 9:13. I believe this is a decree for the season we, in the Body of Christ, are in:

"'Behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD, 'When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it."

I prophesy over you, in the name of Jesus, that it is HARVEST TIME! I decree over you, in the name of Jesus, that 2018 will be your greatest year of fruitfulness THUS FAR! I prophesy over you, in the name of Jesus, that there will be SO MUCH FRUIT you will be left in awe and wonder. All the seeds you have been sowing from years and years ago to present day, you are about to see HARVESTED. In 2018, there will be incredible acceleration of fruitfulness and harvest and new, sweet wine.

So get ready! Stay close to Jesus! Stay deep in the secret place. Allow the Holy Spirit to do what He needs to do within you, so you can carry the fruitfulness and harvest coming to you. I encourage you to accept His invitation and say, "Yes Lord, I surrender! I am ALL IN!"

Acceleration is falling in unexpected places. The Lord is changing things suddenly. The Lord is rearranging and there are divine interruptions happening in the lives of God's people at such a pace, unlike anything I have ever seen. The suddenlies of God are truly upon us.

 

The enemy knows these suddenlies are upon us and they are being birthed right now and he is attempting to bring confusion upon the promise, but he will not succeed for the Lord has decreed that acceleration is falling in unexpected places.

 

A sudden unveiling has been happening as the Lord unveils next steps and what He has been planning and the increase that is upon God's people. God truly is releasing the double portion right now. God's people have walked through so much trouble and trial, but the Lord is now releasing double blessing. He is increasing expectancy in His people as they draw close to Him for what He is doing. Discouragement and confusion is attempting to steal the promise, but I decree over you tonight in Jesus name, that as you continue to hold His hand, trust and obey, your promise will not be aborted. The enemy is fighting significant promises right now and one way is through confusion and discouragement, but another way I saw him attempting to abort the promise is by whispering to God's people "That's not really God. That's your heart's desire" leaving many discouraged and despondent.

 

I heard the Lord say "DOUBLE BLESSING! DOUBLE BLESSING! DOUBLE BLESSING!"  You are going to move not only into hearts desires and promises fulfilled but there will be double blessing and there will be double confirmation. The Lord is confirming and will keep confirming His way, His plan, and this is a time where double portions of joy will be restored to you.

 

"When hope's dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing, but when at last your dream comes true, life's sweetness will satisfy your soul" Proverbs 13:12  (The Passion Translation)

 

Many of you have felt that dream drag on and on and the delay has been depressing, but God is taking your depression and sadness and He will satisfy your soul with the sweetness of the dream come true. The sweetness of the suddenly!!!!

 

Don't be afraid to throw yourself "all in" to the "unexpected places" that God is leading you into. Don't be afraid to trust Him. He is leading you into a place of greater sweetness and joy in the double portion. Many are surprised that the Lord is now saying, "Step in" to a dream they have been waiting for, for a long time, and I saw a waterfall of the revelation of His goodness being released upon them.

 

But the wonderful thing is, not only are you going to step into a dream fulfilled, but you are going to carry more, double!!!!

 

Winds of Acceleration Falling Upon the Rivers of Rest

 

The winds of acceleration are falling upon the rivers of rest. The Lord is bringing a deeper rest to many believers right now, as many are weary, discouraged and feeling empty. The Lord is shifting and moving things and He is making more room for His people to come into rest; heart rest, emotional and mental rest and physical rest. The Lord is "making room" and in that place of rest, the Lord is adding increase. Out of the place of rest, from the 'lying down in the rivers of rest', there will be greater fruitfulness, favor, increase and positioning. Don't fight the plan of God and the moving and shifting of God bringing rest. Don't fight the plan of God if He moves you from more "doing" to "being". The enemy is working hard in this season of acceleration to burn many out in busyness, anxiety, fear and discouragement, but the Lord is bringing rest. Friends, lean in. Rest your head upon His chest and continue to listen to His heart and you will hear His whisper that, "All is well" and you are not being delayed, you are actually moving into more than you ever imagined possible. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

 

May I Have this Dance?

 

I heard the Lord speaking over many "May I have this dance?" and it was an invitation into a level of intimacy, a deeper rhythm of His heart, a new song that they had never experienced before. The joy that bubbled up in the hearts of those who accepted His invitation was like the joy of the first moment they met Him, the moment of salvation. I saw Him recapturing hearts. Hearts that are weary, have lost passion, have lost hunger, where intimacy has been hindered, where the foxes of fear have come in and wrecked havoc upon the vineyard of intimacy with Him, there's a whole new world of intimacy with Him now opening up. A new invitation to know Him, move with Him, and encounter His heart, unlike anything they had ever seen. The fire of the first love was burning brighter than ever.

 

I saw specifically where disappointment had created a wall between them and Jesus, He was melting those walls away, and He was placing in their hearts as they danced a scroll of destiny. Upon this scroll were His words of truth and destiny. Where there had been great pain of disappointment, He was now releasing greater revelation of destiny and reconnection was taking place.

 

The Lord is extending His hand...

 

He is whispering, "May I have this dance?"

 

I encourage you to accept His invitation, and a whole new world of intimacy, a new song, a new dance, a new rhythm is about to open up before you. You will burn with love for Him stronger and deeper than you have ever experienced and the fire of His love that burns in His eyes for you will baptize you afresh.

The book of John has some of the most extraordinary words that Jesus has ever spoken. In John chapter fourteen, Jesus was comforting His disciples before His departure to the father. He told them that He would not leave them alone, but He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them. They didn't comprehend what He was saying, because they did not yet understand His resurrection. 

They asked Him to show them the way to the father and Jesus replied, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." They still didn't understand and He continued explaining to them how He and the father are one, and said that the words that He spoke were words from the father speaking through Him.

Then He said the most profound words ever spoken in history. He said to them: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." Then He said that He would do whatever they asked in His name. This promise is also for every one of us today as believers. Jesus came to earth as God in the flesh. It was prophesied beforehand that they shall call His name Immanuel which means "God is with us". (Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23)

Anointing Increases for Greater Works

The Lord says, I am about to release the "greater works" in the earth today. I will visit My people in ways that will astound them. I am about to release My glory into your lives, and manifest Myself among you in ways that you have not expected. The level of My anointing will increase immensely in the lives of believers, and many will come into the kingdom in the days ahead. It is time to be delivered from all spiritual lethargy and prepare your hearts for this spiritual awakening. Prepare yourself for the greater works that I am about to release.

Pay attention to your dreams and unusual occurrences. Those who are listening will recognize My voice throughout the daytime as well as during the night. I will speak in visions and dreams, and those who are discerning will perceive the leading of My Spirit. I speak in parables, which may seem bizarre to some, but the spiritually mature will search out the scripture for the interpretation. Allow Me to walk with you and talk with you throughout your day. Don't be moved by what you see and what you hear in the natural. Don't fear the supernatural realm because the powers of darkness, and the threats of the enemy are nothing to be compared to this latter day outpouring.

As you press in for miracles, signs and wonders, revelation will be available to you as it was to the men and women of ancient days. In the days ahead you will no longer question Me or doubt My power because you will experience the greater works says the Lord.

Matthew 21:21 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

Mark 4:34 But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.

John 14:12-14 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Acts 19:11-12 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

Tearing Down the Obstacles Blocking Your God-Given Dream by Teresa Shields Parker

God has amazing dreams for us, but many of us live our entire lives not coming close to reaching those. As I think about this, I see we fall into three categories:

Those who are just afraid to dream.

Those who understand their dreams but they seem unreachable.

Those who reach their dreams.

I have fallen in all three categories, but without a doubt, the third category is the most satisfying. What we really want is to be satisfied, but that comes with its own challenges, doesn't it?

Scaredy-Cats

An icebreaker question I use in get-acquainted sessions is to share one dream you'd like to see fulfilled in your lifetime. I'm always amazed at how many people can't come up with even one.

When they get down to the bottom line, they usually say, "The truth is I'm afraid to dream, because it might not come true, and then I'd be devastated. I'd rather just be comfortable where I am."

Satisfaction, in this case, is settling for what life deals us. That means we choose to be comfortable living without making a difference. We have allowed the evil one to fulfill his mission of stealing, killing or destroying our God-given influence in the world (John 10:10).

This group usually has dreams, but they don't see them as being something God wants for them. The truth is, God saw us before we were born. Every day of our lives was recorded in His book. Every moment was laid out before a single day of our lives came to pass (Ps. 139:16).

Rocket-to-Mars Guys

I heard about a think-tank type who has a dream of building a rocket to Mars and colonizing the planet. We may not have such lofty dreams, but this man, who is head of a company, actually has resources to at least begin planning a way to make it happen.

Your dream may not be that lofty, but let's just suppose he begins to plan and never makes the dream happen. Has he failed? Not if he's left careful research notes for others to follow.

The dream God put inside you may not be reachable in your lifetime, but it may still be a dream that God has placed in your heart. We should not dismiss those ideas that flit across our mind. They may be God-dreams to fulfill something in the lifetime of one who comes after us.

"God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams. He does it not by pushing us around, but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us" (Eph. 3:20a, MSG).

The Diligent Workers

We see in the parable of the talents that a company owner who was going on a trip gave some talents or money to three of his employees (Matt. 25:14-20). To one he gave $5000, the other $2,000 and the third $1,000.

The first two doubled their money, but the third hid the money and returned it to the owner. We all know the owner gave the third employee's money to the one who risked the most and basically fired the third employee.

Did the first employee reach his dream? Maybe or maybe not. But what the owner did was reward that one's diligence, his ability to see beyond the current situation and reach further. In doing so, God said, "OK, now do it again with this money."

How to Reach Your Dream

Reaching a God-given dream seems hard, but it's really simple. God put dreams inside of us. We just need to realize that and cooperate with Him to make them come to pass. The worst thing we can do is dismiss them because someone tells us we can never do them or if we do we can never make a living working at them.

I was told by several adults when I was growing up that I could never make money writing books. I remembered that this April when I had to tally up what I'd made in books sales to give to my tax accountant. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a consistent income. Not yet enough to live on, but enough to debunk the lie that was told to me when I was deciding on a career.

Being an author was a dream God placed in my heart long before there was a real way for me to accomplish that dream. I clearly see how He led me to get to the place where I finally made the leap into God's dreamland.

There are three simple steps to reach a dream. I say simple because they are no-brainer practical ways to go step-by-step and allow God to bring your dream into fruition. These are the same steps many whom we see as dream-reachers began with. By the way, these came from my mentor.

Do what you love.

Find a way to make money doing that.

Live within that budget.

What's the Problem?

Simple, right? So why isn't everyone doing it? It has to do with that pesky word satisfied. We think we won't be satisfied living within that budget.

However, if we start there, things will only blossom and increase when and if we are doing what we love. What do we love? We love the dream that God put in our hearts.

So how do we do it? How do we reach the impossible dream? Learn the secret of contentment."I have learned in whatever state I am to be content. I know both how to face humble circumstances and how to have abundance. Everywhere and in all things I have learned the secret, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me" (Phil. 4:11-13, MEV).

We have to learn that we will never be satisfied with things, especially comfort foods. (You knew I had to get that in there somewhere.)  We will only be satisfied with the true abundance God brings into our lives.
