The Forgotten Feast - Daniel Goldstein ISRAEL TODAY

The Forgotten Feast

Wednesday, October 04, 2017 |  Daniel Goldstein  ISRAEL TODAY
There has been much speculation during the past couple of years about the culmination of the end of times due to certain signs in the sun, moon, and stars: ranging from the recent cycle of the four “Blood Moons” to the alignment of the stars on September 23, 2017. Various prophets of doom have used the Bible along with science and astrology to try to prove their theories but have only shown once again that man is incapable of predicting the date and time of the end of the world.
The Bible is an amazing book that contains truths about the past, present, and future, however, we as human beings must continually be careful to not put ourselves in God’s place and attempt to assign dates to God’s timetable. While many Christians around the world are quickly drawn into the latest sign in the stars they often miss the more practical timetable that God has given us through the prophet Moses: “The Appointed Times of the LORD” (Lev. 23).
Sukkot - The Feast of Booths
On Wednesday evening, October 4, 2017, the Jewish people, together with Gentiles around the world, will celebrate one of the Appointed Times of the LORD, the Feast of Booths or its Hebrew name “Sukkot.”
The Feast of Booths is unique among the seven Appointed Times of the LORD as the one feast which will certainly be celebrated during the reign of the Messiah on earth:
Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. - Zech. 14:16
The Bible speaks about the past of the Feast of Booths and about its future. It seems wise for the people of God to know, understand, and celebrate this biblical Feast with a prophetic future.
The Significance of The Appointed Times of the LORD
We read in the pages of the New Testament that when Yeshua came to this earth 2000 years ago, He clearly fulfilled the Appointed Times of the LORD which fall in the spring season: Passover (1 Cor. 5:7-8), First Fruits (1 Cor. 15:20), and The Feast of Weeks or Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). It is commonly believed amongst many evangelicals today, that just as Yeshua fulfilled the spring Appointed Times in His first coming, He will fulfill the fall Appointed Times at His second coming.
Although God does use signs in the sun, moon, and stars to speak to those of us living on earth (Luke 21:25-28), He has also given us His Appointed Times (Lev. 23) which are continual reminders of who God is in relation to His people. These Appointed Times also help us to keep in step with the Creator of the universe as we observe these specific days.
The Forgotten Feast
The Appointed Times of the LORD, as found in Leviticus 23, are generally classified into the spring and fall Feasts, however, this only includes six of the seven Appointed Times. Unfortunately, there is one Appointed Time which is generally overlooked and forgotten by many evangelical Bible readers. This forgotten Appointed Time is called the Sabbath!
The irony of the Sabbath being the “forgotten Feast” is that it is actually the first Appointed Time mentioned in the list of seven (Lev. 23:1-3). The God of the Bible gave preeminence to the Sabbath in His list of Appointed Times for a reason. I believe that one of the reasons that God put the Sabbath first in His list of seven was in order to provide a basis to understand all of His Appointed Times.
The Preeminence of the Sabbath
The Appointed Times of the LORD are specific days that God has commanded His people to remember and observe in order to properly worship Him. A fundamental practice of these days demands a cessation from work and the practice of a day of rest. This is the very essence of the weekly Sabbath practice.
Without becoming legalistic or putting ourselves under the Law, it would behoove each one of us to consider afresh the Appointed Times of the LORD, beginning with the Sabbath day.

Exactly How Many Items Have Been Checked Off on Jesus' End-Times List? - JESSILYN JUSTICE CHARISMA NEWS

While prophets including Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel and John foretold of the end of the world, the Son of God Himself gave specific examples of what will mark "the beginning of sorrows."
In Matthew 24:3-14, Jesus says:
As He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?"
Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, epidemics, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. And you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. Then many will fall away, and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will rise and will deceive many. Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Many eschatology scholars believe Christ's words describe the end of days before He returns for His bride.
Given popular headlines flooding the mainstream media, some are asking if we are there.
Watch the video to see what's been checked off and what's to come.

Prophecy: President Trump Will Bring Prosperity Back to America - BOB ESCHLIMAN CHARISMA NEWS

Prophecy: President Trump Will Bring Prosperity Back to America

BOB ESCHLIMAN  CHARISMA NEWS
Revivalist preacher Darren Canning recently had a vision on President Donald Trump standing next to what he described as a "working-class man" in which the man's hands were suddenly filled with pieces of gold.
"The United States is about to see a new boom in its economy, and it will be greater than what we have seen during previous years," he wrote in an article published Thursday at Elijah List. "If you remember the dishonor from the previous administration toward Israel, it is no surprise the people of the USA were struggling the way that they were. The polar opposite was displayed recently, when President Trump was seen saying a prayer at the Wailing Wall, and meeting and honoring the president of Israel. Something has changed in America. God is going to bless it again!"
Canning said that in the spirit of Genesis 12:3, God has seen the steps the president has taken with regard to His chosen people. The president has also taken steps to protect the religious liberties of Christians, which Canning said not only strengthens the voice of American Christians, but those of Christians throughout the Western world.
Elijah and Jezebel are at war, he noted, but the tide of that war has changed.
"The prophets of evil seem to be strong, but there is a change coming," he wrote. "God will not allow them to reign forever. He is raising up a standard against apostasy and He will be glorified in the USA again.
"Something is about to shift. The enemy will try to play his hand, and he will overplay his role and he will come crashing down. Jesus will be honored and the law of sin and death will be exposed for what it is: sin and death."

What the Presidential Election Revealed About the State of the Prophetic Movement - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA NEWS

What the Presidential Election Revealed About the State of the Prophetic Movement

JENNIFER LECLAIRE  CHARISMA NEWS
Watchman on the Wall, by Jennifer LeClaire
Jennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Early in the morning on Election Day, I released a prophetic word titled: "On Election Day, a Kingdom Will Be Toppled." The next morning, the Holy Spirit told me the Jezebel curse had been broken off America.
With that, Brandon Showalter, a Bethel graduate and a new reporter over at the Christian Post, called to talk to me about the prophetic ministry in light of the presidential election. Below is part of that discussion from his article: "What Was the Role of Prophecy in the 2016 Election?"
"I think one of the reasons why people have disregarded many modern prophetic voices is because of the clamor and the renegade people who call themselves prophets who aren't really prophets; or those who are really immature prophets who aren't letting their words be judged before releasing them and therefore missing it badly," I told Brandon.
Brandon wrote: "Many non-Pentecostal Christian denominations do not have a theological grid for the prophetic because they hold to cessationism, the doctrine (that) states that the supernatural gifts of the spirit, like prophecy, ceased with the death of the last apostle or when the Canon of Scripture closed. Even those who do believe that the gifts continue today are commonly functionally cessationist because often little equipping is done and even less space given in public services for this to be practiced. These views are reinforced when the abuse of such supernatural gifts appear, of which there is no shortage via televangelists."
I shared with Brandon how several Christians staunchly asserted God told them Hillary Clinton was going be the next president, while others were equally insistent that the Lord said that Trump would emerge the winner.
What did I make of this, he asked?
"Clearly, now we see someone wasn't hearing correctly," I told him. "Now, I wonder, will those people come out and repent and say, 'You know what? I missed it.'"
But I also told him I think the fact that Trump did win, "should open the eyes of those who were on the fence about modern-day prophetic unctions. It should confirm to those who have long believed in the prophetic and that we can have accuracy."
"From here we have a real opportunity to say, 'You know what, the prophetic is real; prophets really are for today. Let's take another look and do some equipping," I told him. "Let's teach believers how to hear the voice of God, how to discern, how to judge a prophetic word. We have an opportunity in this moment to do Ephesians 4:11-12."
In conclusion, I told Brandon: "I think we have to handle the prophetic realm with integrity, we have to let our peers, our contemporaries judge the word if it is going to be impactful and speak to something of this nature, we have to have accountability. And if we would all do that you would see a lot of this flaky stuff being rooted out of the prophetic and people would take it more seriously."

Pastor Jim and Lori talk about stepping into our roles as Christians and spreading the prophetic Word, with special guest Bobby Conner.

Quotes

We need the prophets. But the prophets need to tell the truth about what’s going on. The biggest thing that can muffle the mouth of the prophets is the fear of men. The Bible says the fear of men brings a snare. – Bobby Conner
The world is getting darker, but God’s the same. We’ve got to run into God. The Bible says the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it, and they’re safe. We need to know more about the promises of God. – Bobby Conner
We’ve got to get into this book and let this book get into us. – Bobby Conner
God is going to pull off the greatest day the church has ever seen. God is going to fill this whole earth with the knowledge of the glory of His Son. – Bobby Conner
