Biblical Reasons to Stand with Israel as the World Combats Terrorism By Tsivya Fox - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS
Biblical Reasons to Stand with Israel as the World Combats Terrorism
By Tsivya Fox
“Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you.” (Genesis 26:2–6)
Western civilization is facing an onslaught of conflicting messages. On the one hand, hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees are being welcomed into countries around the world under the auspices of humanitarian aid. On the other hand, people are fearful of the spread of radical Islam and the terrorism which comes with this extremism.
Yet, Israel remains on the front page of news reports around the world. As the only democracy in the Middle East, a place where all religions are free to worship and all cultures attend its universities, Breaking Israel News sat down with David Rubin, the founder and president of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and a survivor of a miraculous terror attack, to hear his views on Islam and the Biblical reasons to stand with Israel.
“I always talk about the role Israel plays in the world,” Rubin told Breaking Israel News. “Despite it being a tiny country, smaller than the size of New Jersey, it is the world leader for freedom against Islamic terror and the encroaching Islamic tsunami taking place today in Israel, the US and across all western civilizations.”
Rubin explained that the goal of Islam is to change western civilization from a Judeo-Christian way of life to one under Islamic Sharia law. “If that happens,” he continued, “freedom of press, religion, dress and speech will be done away with. Islamic Sharia law will take over which does not tolerate anything but Islam.”
Israel may be on the front lines battling terror and Islamic extremism. But, more and more countries are finding their demographic landscapes shifting dramatically. “Muslims are not only looking to destroy Israel,” noted Rubin. “Rather, they seek the end of all of western civilization and the rest of the free world as we know it.”
According to Rubin, today, people do not understand the need to stand with Israel. Rubin, who lives in Israel’s Biblical heartland, explained the Biblical reasons and practical importance of supporting the Holy Land.
Quoting God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and curse those who curse you,” Rubin shared, “As a religious person, I believe in God’s promises. When the US stood with Israel and didn’t force us to give up our land, America thrived. Since the Carter administration, presidents have pressed Israel to hand over land and the US has suffered the consequences.”
The word “Israel” is mentioned more than 2,300 times in the Bible, second only to the various names of God. As it says in Deuteronomy 11:12, Israel is “a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.”
“God is clearly passionate about the land of Israel and it’s people. Shouldn’t we all be?” asked Rubin.
Today, many people around the world believe that the prophecy of Isaiah 43:6 is being fulfilled: “Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth”. Millions of dispersed Jews have returned to the Holy Land and the once barren country is flourishing.
“But, terrorism has taken its toll,” noted Rubin. “It is critical for the west to defend and help those that fight terrorism. I believe that God placed Israel in the Middle East surrounded by Arab countries so that we can be a light unto the nations as it says in Isaiah 49:6, ‘I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.’ We have a special responsibility to lead. But, we cannot do that without support.”
Rubin points out three ways that people can stand with Israel. He stated, “First, pray for Israel’s welfare and that we should meet the challenges we face every day, as it says in Psalm 122:6, ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper who love You.’”
Second, get politically involved. Support political leaders in the free world who stand with Israel, not those who ask to withdraw from Israeli land, especially the Biblical heartland.
Thirdly, connect directly with those on the front lines. God sent Abraham specifically to this land, as it says in Genesis 12:1, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation.’
“We, on the front lines have listened to God’s command and feel that we are holding down the borders for the ultimate redemption. But, we need help, especially when it comes to supporting children traumatized by terror,” Rubin explained to Breaking Israel News. “The Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund heals trauma and restores the lost innocence of children. This is our future so that they can grow into productive, idealistic and caring adults willing to sacrifice for the Holy Land.”
Rubin ended by noting that there is a Jewish tradition that after a person passes on to the next world they receive a review of their life, “similar to the self-reflection that people do as they approach the end of the calendar year.”
“We learn from Jewish sources that when a person dies and comes before his Creator, he is asked, ‘Have I stood with God and been good to my family? Have I stood up for my country, God’s chosen people, the people of Israel and the Land of Israel?’ Don’t wait until that point. Stand and support Israel today.”
LOVE FOR HIS PEOPLE FEATURED BOOK
Why Israel? Why not?
This little booklet consists of messages previously written in my books, which of themselves contain many various themes. I wanted to devote one book to just Israel and the Jewish people, and so this small booklet was compiled.
As you read the following, consider the truth contained in Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, which spell out the commitment of God the Father to choose a people who will be a light to the nations. He chose the Jews, and gave them the Promised Land of Israel.
It does not matter what other national governments try to say, do, or accomplish apart from the plans and purposes of the Lord. They will fail. His Word is true. It is eternal. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and thus His commitment in keeping His promises made to the Jewish people will be fulfilled. I hope you stand with them in these last days.

Israel is overreacting to this?? -
Oct. 19, 2015 Facebook post
Israel is overreacting to this?? Pardon me? I'm sorry that you have to see this, but if you think that these Israeli civilian men, women, children, and babies deserve this type of brutality just because they are Jewish, you seriously need to re-evaluate your opinions and your thought processes.
What kind of monster does this to people who are out playing or shopping? Worse yet, what kind of barbaric demon of a Palestinian President exhorts and incites his people to commit this sort of atrocity? Don't believe for a minute that this is nothing more than mischievous children just having a bit of fun.
This is systematic, medieval, bloodthirsty barbarism at its best. Those who do this and even more so those who promote and incite them to do it are nothing other than a blight upon humanity and a plague upon this planet.

I have no other country...

Whether you like it or not, whether you choose or not, or how much we pray or not, We, in Israel, still find ourselves in a bloody conflict with the Arabs.
Sending our children to schools and kindergartens with concerns that the bus will explode on the way.
Or some madman will ram his car into those waiting at a bus station at full force and crush them sending their bodies flying in all directions.
We travel the streets - whether to a supermarket, school, or work, or just to meet with friends - and some crazy kid could pursue us with a knife indiscriminately plunging it into someone's body as long as the victim is Jewish.
And life here become more bizarre as time goes by.
People walk around with guns, tear gas, and those without will use any means - a club, a rolling pin or even a selfie-stick. Anything in order to defend onesself from monstrous attacks.
In the last week people were seen walking the streets with sticks, looking in all directions making sure nothing suspicious appears or even an attacker.
As the days passed one saw fewer and fewer people on the streets, the malls were empty, markets empty and even cafes were empty.
People only did necessary errands and business and quickly returned to their homes or offices their "safe" places.
Even kindergartens and schools went on strike because parents felt that there was not enough security. Parents volunteered to do guard duty shifts. Some even refused to send their children to school.
The question is have we become accustomed to the situation?
This is a bizarre question, because on the one hand, yes, we have become accustomed to these difficult situations. On the other hand we want to live.
For God's sake let us live in peace, we really do not want war.
We love and revere life, work, fun and togetherness with family and friends.
All we want is to live a normal quiet and simple life.
We are fed up with becoming accustomed with the situation, we are tired of this madness.
The worst madness is always accompanied with the cry "Allah HuAkbar" - "Allah is Greatest" heard as each terrorist commits his attack.
I ask, "what kind of god sanctifies such things? What kind of god demands such hatred? What kind of god?"
Then comes the news from the world which seems to twist the knife in the wound and just exacerbates the bleeding wound.
Terrorists are presented as the unfortunate victims, those protecting lives as the killers.
Everything upside down.
It's frustrating and disparaging.
How many strikes can one absorb? How many?
Israel has become accustomed to severe beatings.
And yet Israel still remains merciful and compassionate.
And this is the truth even if the world says otherwise.
And your role is to be attentive.
To be ambassadors and show your love through your actions.
I really mean that - I have no other country...

Israel report from within the city of Jerusalem Oct. 12, 2015
Here is a report from Jerusalem:
This morning began with an attempted stabbing of a police officer at the Lion Gate of the Old City in Jerusalem.
http://www.timesofisrael.com/attacker-killed-after-stabbing-attempt-in-jerusalem-old-city/
Next, was a stabbing attack at Ammunition Hill just north of the Old City. The officer stabbed was 20 years old, and the terrorist was an 18 year old female.

The third attack was the worst of the day, in Pisgat Ze'ev - where we have had the Aharai race each year that we've written about in the blog. It is in the most northern neighborhood of Jerusalem, and the Light Rail train ends in this town. A 20 (or 25) year old and a 13 year old were critically injured by two terrorists - 13 years old and 15 (or 17) years old. Yes, children terrorists.

Most recently, this evening, an attack was thwarted in Tel Aviv by a taxi driver as he saw his female passenger jump out with a knife trying to stab people. Praise God he was able to stop her until police came.

Israel Demolishes Homes of Palestinian Terrorists Amid New Government Crackdown

Israel Demolishes Homes of Palestinian Terrorists Amid New Government Crackdown
By Lea Speyer
“Arise, O Lord, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.” (Psalm 7:6)
The homes of two Palestinian terrorists were demolished by Israel, the IDF confirmed Tuesday morning, following a government crackdown on the latest wave of terrorism to hit the nation.
The homes belonged to terrorists who carried out attacks against Israel over the last year, with a room in the home of a third terrorist sealed off for possible demolition. The three terrorists were killed during or after they carried out their attacks, which left six people dead.
“Overnight, and in accordance with the directive of the Minister of Defense, Moshe Ya’alon, security personnel demolished the residences of Abu Jamil Ghassan Ben Muhammad and Muhammed Naif El-Jaabis and sealed off a room in the residence of Mu’taz Ibrahim Halil Hijazi in Jerusalem,” the IDF said in a statement.
On August 4 of last year, Jaabis, 23, plowed through an Israeli bus using a bulldozer during Operation Protective Edge. One Israeli was killed and five injured. Jaabis was shot dead by police at the scene.
ON November 17 of last year, Ghassan, along with his brother, entered a synagogue in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem with a gun and meat cleavers. Four rabbis were killed during morning prayer services as well as a Druze policeman responding to the scene of the attack. Both terrorists were killed at the scene of the attack.
Hijazi, 32, was responsible for the assassination attempt on Temple Mount activist Rabbi Yehudah Glick on October 29 of last year. Glick was critically wounded in the attack. Hijazi was shot dead the next morning during a security raid.
The families of the terrorists were notified of the impending demolitions last year. It remains unclear whether they attempted to appeal the orders with the Israeli Supreme Court.
The demolitions come amid Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s vow to harshen measures against terrorists. On Monday, Netanyahu tasked Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked with expediting measures to shorten the legal process to demolish homes of Palestinian terrorists, a controversial policy that was first introduced during the Second Intifada.
“We are not prepared to give immunity to anybody, not to any rioters…or any terrorist, anywhere, and therefore there are no limits on the activities of the security forces,” he stated.
In addition to reenacting the policy of home demolitions, the prime minister has ordered the deployment of thousands of extra police and soldiers into Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria to restore security. He also ordered a more expansive use of administrative detentions for terror suspects and banning people who incite terrorism against Israel from the Old City of Jerusalem.
