What to Do When You Get a Bogus Prophetic Word - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA MAGAZINE

What do you do when you hear a bogus word in public?

Jennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit, a new podcast from Charisma. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Whether I'm speaking at churches, making intercession at the Awakening House of Prayer at home, or sitting behind my computer, I can count on getting at least one prophetic word every week. It's like clockwork.
That may sound awesome, and it may be if they were accurate. Unfortunately, many of the prophecies that are announced, decreed and declared over my life are absolutely bogus. In other words, these utterances did not emanate from the Spirit of God.
Don't get me wrong. I certainly don't despise prophecy. In a revival setting, I'll prophesy over just about anybody you put in front of me. But I appreciate responsible prophecy—prophecy that the giver has judged before they start announcing massive directional shifts in my life and ministry.
Three Sources of Prophecy
There are three sources of prophecy: the human spirit (Jer. 23:17), a demon spirit (Jer. 23:13) and the Spirit of God (2 Pet. 1:21). I've received prophecy from all three sources, and I can tell you assuredly that I much prefer prophecy from the Spirit of God the best.
Prophecy from someone's human spirit may sound good, but it's not God. It may edify you—or it may flatter you. Flattering prophecies aren't prophecies at all; they are soulish or carnal utterances that seek to manipulate and often release witchcraft against you.

Likewise, prophecy from a demon spirit may sound good, but it's not God. Remember the girl with the spirit of divination in Acts 16:16? She followed Paul and his team around shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." That was true, but it wasn't helpful to Paul's mission. Prophecies from demon spirits breed confusion, fear, jealousy and other ungodly outcomes.
But I'm always ready to receive Holy Spirit-inspired prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10). A word in due season can edify, comfort and exhort. The right word at the right time can warn us from heading in the wrong direction. Holy Spirit-inspired prophecy aligns with the Word of God because Father doesn't speak with a forked tongue.
When You Get a Bad Word
Every morning when I wake up, I break word curses that are being released over my life. I liken these to the devil's prophetic utterances. I am not being paranoid or rote in this exercise. I can feel the words dangling out there in the spirit realm—and oftentimes I can hear them. Sometimes my email inbox is full of them.
It's easy enough to break word curses in your bedroom. But what do you do when you get a bogus prophetic word in a public setting? What do you say to someone when they race up to you and declare "by the Spirit of God" that you've done so well in your current assignment that God is moving you to another ministry when you know right well that's the opposite of His will?
I write a lot about this topic of judging prophetic words in my book: Did the Spirit of God Say That? 27 Ways to Judge Prophecy. Some questions to ask are: Does the prophecy glorify Jesus? Does the prophecy agree with Scripture? Does the prophecy produce freedom? But again, after you've judged the prophecy to be poor, erroneous, flat out wrong or false, what do you do?
Confronting Poor Prophecy
It's a difficult question to answer because it depends on various factors. Earlier this year, a woman came into Awakening House of Prayer earlier this year out of nowhere, boldly approached me, laid hands on me and started spewing false prophecies about how discouraged I am and how she sees I'm about to give up. Besides the fact that she totally missed it, there was no redeeming value to the word—not edification, exhortation or comfort.
I stood in her face and told her I was rejoicing in the Lord because I was in His perfect will and there was no giving up in me; that I was encouraged to be moving with His heart. I wasn't mean-spirited about it, but I was bold and frank with love. Anybody who is bold enough to walk up to a leader with that type of prophetic nonsense needs to hear the truth in love. It turns out she was a witch who left behind an empty bottle of oil and a cloth as a point of contact. We swiftly destroyed it.
Another time I was at a meeting, one of the congregants came up afterward and prophesied a word so directional that it would have changed every facet of my life. Clearly, the word was massively off base. I did not, however, confront her publicly because it would have crushed her heart. Her heart was right, but her prophecy was off. She was misguided and missing it, but I had no agreement with that word so I just let it fall to the ground.
In other words, there's a time to confront people and teach. There's a time to confront and oppose. There's a time to let it slide and break it off later. And there's a time to pray into a prophetic word that doesn't sound like it could be right but may be. (I got such a word about a year ago that bothered me to the core, and it turned out to be true. My spirit bore witness, but my soul was disturbed until I saw it manifest.)
My advice to you: "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1). If you get a bad word, don't come into agreement with it publicly or privately. Break every word that is not coming from the heart of God and speak what you know to be His will over yourself.

Israel's History - a Picture a Day (Beta) Bringing the Holy Land to America, Along with Mark Twain's Guide

Israel's History - a Picture a Day (Beta)

(Future publication)
As American interest in the Holy Land grew in the second half of the 19th Century, entrepreneurs and Bible scholars attempted to "re-create" the wondrously exotic land of the Bible in the United States. A huge scale model of the Holy Land from Mount Hebron to Be'er Sheba was constructed as "Palestine Park" in Lake Chautauqua, NY in 1874. A Middle East Pavilion was built in the 1893 World Exposition in Chicago. And the Old City of Jerusalem was recreated at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase World's Fair in St. Louis.

America Clamored for "Far-Away Moses," Mark Twain's Guide in the Holy Land

Portrait of Far-Away Moses from the Chicago fair
Mark Twain's account of his 1867 visit to the Middle East in "Innocents Abroad" launched his career as America's foremost storyteller.  In his book he dubbed his quirky Turkish dragoman (guide) "Far-Away Moses" and elevated him to a legendary figure.

In 1870, Twain reported to his publisher, "I learn from Constantinople that the celebrated guide, 'Far-Away Moses' goes to the American Consulate & borrows my book to read the chapter about himself to English & Americans, & he sends me a beseeching request that I will forward a copy of that chapter to him -- he don't want (sic) the whole book, but only just that to use as an advertisement...."

The advertising campaign for the 1893 Chicago pavilion was not very successful:  "Life in the Holy Lands! Scenes from Biblical Days!!! The Historic East as It Is and Was!!! A Moral Show!!!"

Crowds were not attracted, wrote researcher Barabara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett in Jews and the Holy Land at World's Fairs, until the Turkish proprietor changed the campaign to "Life in the Harem!! Dreamy Scenes in the Orient!!! Eastern Dances!!! The Sultan's Diversions."

Kirshenblatt-Gimblett added, "The proprietor in the doorway and belly dancer on the placard [outside] were in all likelihood Jewish. According to other sources, one of the proprietors was none other than Far-Away Moses, apparently also known as Harry R. Mandil, an American citizen.

Another partner was R.J. Levi (pictured), identified as a "Jewish chef and caterer from Constantinople [who] was manager and chief proprietor of the Turkish Village and Theatre."

Blessed Man - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Blessed Man
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

‘Tis a blessed man of God I am;
So much of life I have to share.
Salvation came from my Lord above,
Now known by Him - my every hair.

When but a lad of five or so,
When Jesus came into my heart;
A Catholic boy in Iowa’s glow,
He’s blessed me from the very start.

Columbus High was where I went,
An education for life to come.
My teachers gave, and then was sent
To seek the Lord, and then some.

My wife to be was but a teen,
I had to wait for her - as us.
October’s light that 8th was seen,
No worries Mom, don’t make a fuss!

Soon came forth the quiver full,
With Josh and Ben to start.
Then Hannah, Christen – there ain’t no lull!
A family now will never part.

First Derek, then Mahesh and Bonnie served;
Then came Barry & Batya - both Jews.
My fruitful work, for Him deserved,
Eternal reward – now that’s Good News!

I bless Chelsie, Andrew, Jonathan. When?
Spouses for my kids they are;
Plus Daniel, Logan, Dylan, Jensen,
Jack, Payton and Levi - by far!

Continues on my life these days,
To know His will and walk therein.
A blessed man in all His ways,
I love my Lord. Thus all for Him.

THANK YOU YESHUA (JESUS)!

And I love you too,

Chutzpa! Formerly-Jewish Store Pulls Israeli Products - Israel Today Staff

Chutzpa! Formerly-Jewish Store Pulls Israeli Products

Sunday, November 22, 2015 |  Israel Today Staff
The largest department store in continental Europe has pulled from its shelves any product marked “Made in Israel” that has any manufacturing connection to Judea, Samaria or the Golan Heights.
Spokesmen for KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) said the decision was in accordance with the European Union’s ruling that products from these areas be marked as coming from “occupied Palestine.”
As soon as the proper labeling is added, the store promised to return the Israeli products to its shelves.
What makes this move so infuriating to many is that KaDeWe started out as a Jewish-owned store that was stolen from its original proprietors by the Nazis.
KaDeWe was founded in the heart of Berlin in 1905 by Jewish businessman Adolf Jandorf. In 1927, it was purchased by another Jewish businessman, Hermann Tietz, who transformed KaDeWe into Europe’s premier shopping experience.
But just six years later, the Nazis enacted their race laws that prohibited Jews from owning businesses, and Hermann Tietz’s company, including KaDeWe, was handed over to more “Aryan” owners.
If you, dear reader, find this offensive, then it’s time to show the Israeli and worldwide Jewish market that you stand with them.

Today's Israel Inspiration

After Abraham demonstrates his unwavering faith in God with the binding of Isaac, the Lord repeats His original promise of Genesis 12:3, and assures Abraham here that all the nations of the world will be blessed through Abraham. When we look at the contributions that the State of Israel has made to the entire world - technological, agricultural, humanitarian, to name a few - we see that the nation is a fulfillment of this Biblical promise to become a great blessing to all of the nations. Israeli Teen Returns from 15 Minutes - End of Days Message - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Israeli Teen Returns from 15 Minutes of Clinical Death with Spiritual Messages Concerning the Coming Redemption

“Who is like the wise man, and who knows the meaning of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, and the boldness of his face is changed.” (Ecclesiastes 8:1)
In a video posted on YouTube, Natan is shown speaking to an Orthodox Jewish audience in a synagogue in Israel, just days after his near death experience. He relates his understanding of what was revealed to him in the next world during the 15 minutes that he was pronounced clinically dead.
Rabbi Rami Levy, who sits beside Natan and helps the teen tell his story, claims that Natan did not study in a Jewish religious school and did not learn the things he spoke about from the Bible. Levy himself was raised in a secular, anti-religious Israeli family. In 1982, while performing reserve duty in the Israeli army, he survived the Lebanon War through a miracle of Divine intervention. Levy subsequently became religious and was eventually ordained as a rabbi.
Natan’s near death experience happened on the first night of this past Sukkot, which was also the night of the final Blood Moon. At the home of his uncle, where he went to visit for the holiday, Natan began feeling unwell. He described suddenly shivering and felt cold in his arms and legs. Natan decided to go and rest and, in those moments, felt his soul exit his body through his nose.
Among the various spiritual messages experienced by Natan, which can be heard beginning at the 35 minute mark of the video, the young boy speaks about the messiah standing on the Mount of Olives and determining who is worthy to be saved. Natan describes this future scene saying that “the mountain simply opens…it splits in two,” though not by earthquake and not by atomic bomb. This vision matches a prophecy in Zechariah that the Mount of Olives, located just east of the Old City of Jerusalem, will split and create a valley.
“And on that day His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem from the east. And the Mount of Olives shall split in the midst thereof-toward the east and toward the west-a very great valley. And half the mountain shall move to the north, and half of it to the south.” (Zechariah 14:4)
In describing the qualities of the messiah, Natan said, “The Mashiach (messiah) is first of all someone who can’t sin. Someone who repented. Who didn’t commit any transgressions. It can’t be that the Mashiach is someone who committed transgressions. Now it can be someone who we actually know very well. Lots and lots of people know him, according to what I understood. But everyone will be very, very surprised that he is of all people the Mashiach.”
Just before the 36 minute mark, Natan claims that the messiah will kill Gog, the leader of the nation of Magog, who will be a critical player in the final war of Gog and Magog and will bury him in Israel. This claim is consistent with a prophecy in Ezekiel that Gog will be buried in Israel.
What happens in the afterlife?
“And it shall come to pass on that day that I will give Gog a place there as a grave in Israel, the valley of them who pass along the east side of the sea, and it will then stop those who pass along. And there shall they bury Gog and all his hordes, and they shall call it the Valley of Hamon Gog.” (Ezekiel 39:11)
Toward the end of the portion of the video, Natan describes the power of the Messiah to discern a person’s holiness. “I also saw that the moment Har haZeitim (Mount of Olives) splits into two, then the Mashiach will stand at the entrance, but he won’t…he won’t see who is religious, who has a beard and who a person is. What he will see is – he sees according to a person’s holiness, he will smell each person, he will smell if someone has holiness, if he is pure, if he did mitzvot (God’s commandments), if he performed acts of kindness. To see if he really has true fear of Heaven and not just fear of punishment, and things like that.”
The idea that the messiah will be able to discern the righteousness of a person based on something other than physical appearance is reflected in a prophecy from Isaiah that describes the gifts of the messiah, including the ability to judge without relying on what his eyes see or what his ears hear.
“And he shall be animated by the fear of the Lord, and neither with the sight of his eyes shall he judge, nor with the hearing of his ears shall he chastise. (Isaiah 11:-3)
The release of the video has caused two types of major reactions – amazement mixed with fear or incredulity and denial. Susan Constantine is a world renowned body language expert specializing in deception detection. She has appeared as an expert on television and radio shows and in print publications in the US and abroad over 1,000 times. She reviewed the video at the request of a client.
Although she is not an expert in the Jewish content of Natan’s testimony, Constantine verified the credibility of Natan’s presentation. In a statement she provided to Breaking Israel News, Constantine asserted, “I have reviewed the entire video and it is my professional opinion the boy Natan truthfully believes he experienced a visitation in heaven and was not being deceptive.”
The Hebrew video that was first released in early October is nearly two hours long. A partial version with English subtitles was released earlier this month.
