The Jewish "Indiana Jones" ✡ "You Shall Place in the Ark"

You shall place in the Ark the Testimonial-tablets that I shall give you. EXODUS (25:16)   וְנָתַתָּ אֶל הָאָרֹן אֵת הָעֵדֻת אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן אֵלֶיךָ שמות כה:טז v'-na-ta-ta el ha-a-ron ayt ha-ay-dut a-sher e-tayn ay-le-kha

Shabbat Inspiration This week's Torah portion (Exodus 25-27:19) describes the glorious Ark of the Covenant into which the two tablets from Sinai would be placed. In Hebrew, the name of the Ark/אָרון comes from the word "light"/אורה for it contained the spiritual light of the world.
