May God Bless Us Like Our Biblical Ancestors ✡ "Thee Shall Israel Bless" - ISRAEL365

And he blessed them that day, saying: ‘By thee shall Israel bless, saying: God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’ And he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Jewish parents bless their sons each Sabbath with the words, “May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.” Out of all the Biblical heroes possible to emulate, what is special about Ephraim and Manasseh? The two sons of Joseph play a very significant role in the formation of the Jewish people. They are the first of Abraham’s family to be born in Egypt, and they still remain loyal to the traditions of their ancestors despite their physical disconnection from the Land of Israel. This verse, therefore, represents a key to the survival of the Jewish people and to their return to Israel in the future. Did you like this Torah insight? Then you'll LOVE The Israel Bible!

Israelis Ecstatic Over First Snow Fall on Mt. Hermon

People usually think of Israel as dry and hot – but in the winter, it’s anything but! Israelis wait all year for the first taste of snow, which usually falls on Mt. Hermon in the north of the country.

Haftarah: John Kerry’s Foolish Plan to Divide the City of Unity

Secretary of State Kerry was correct that peace is achieved when Jerusalem is a shared city.  But he misunderstood that, ultimately, Yerushalayim is meant to be shared by the entirety of the Jewish people serving Hashem together as part of a united people.

A particularly cloudy morning rests over the Holy City of Jerusalem, reminding her inhabitants that the rainy season, a time of prayer and bounty, is truly upon us at last.
