From Jerusalem, bringing the Chaim Report to life - The Jerusalem Journal

From Jerusalem, bringing the Chaim Report to life

Brian Schrauger   April 26, 2017

Do you remember my brief introduction to our new Chaim Report? I mentioned it the last time I wrote two weeks ago.

Based on the model of the well-known Drudge Report, the Chaim Report offers Israel-related headlines from around the world. Every headline is linked to its original report. Stories are selected that reveal the shape of end-times events the Bible told us would occur - with Israel at the center of it all.

Chaim, by the way, is the Hebrew word for life. By calling it the report, Chaim, we are insisting that, even when the world is falling apart, God's plan is to redeem it all, and to do so with nothing less than his vibrant, vigorous, and irrepressible life. L'chiam!

I thought that giving birth to the Chaim Report would be a simple thing, especially once Rhonda Ballance came on board as its editor. In fact, it has been a frustrating challenge. Not because of Rhonda, however! She is amazing. Perhaps the next time I write, I will make a proper introduction so that you will understand why I am so thrilled and thank God for her.
The biggest challenges in launching the Chaim Report are spreading the word to people like you, and upgrading components on the website to improve the presentation of stories.

There are several ways you could help in tackling these challenges.

1. Sign up to share Jerusalem Journal posts with five or ten Facebook Groups that we have identified. If you are willing to do this easy thing - every day, not just once - send me a personal email at Brian@JerusalemJournal.net, would you? I will send you a list of Facebook groups from which to chose your five to ten for daily shares.
Because we do not yet have funds for advertising, this is our best way to spread the word. Facebook, of course, is the king of social media. But unless it is fed money, it has a way of making posts unlikely to be seen - even by those who have "liked" our Page!
2. There is no getting around the need for money to get in front of the right people. Our target market in the millions. The best place for reaching this market is Facebook. But the Big F must be fed.
There is one hugely important reason we need to increase the numbers of those who read and follow. That reason is so the Jerusalem Journal can be officially recognized by Israel's Governmental Press Office as a listed news provider.

I cannot stress enough how important this is. It affects visa status for volunteers living here, and maintaining necessary press credentials for getting stories.

In short, we need to grow to 100,000 "likes" on our Facebook Page asap. That sounds like a lot and, of course, it is. But when compared with the millions who fit our target market, it a reasonable short-term goal.

In order to get there this year - which is very doable - we need to advertise on Facebook. Make this possible by clicking here.

You are also welcome to write me about this need. Send your personal email to Brian@JerusalemJournal.net.
3. If you are website-literate, we really need a webmaster. Our site is built on a Joomla platform. If you qualify and this interests you, contact me asap! Send an email to Brian@JerusalemJournal.net.

The Jerusalem Journal is doing...
...God's kingdom work, informing end-times watchmen
...from his land
...on behalf of his people,
...for your benefit, and
...in such a time as this.
From Jerusalem and, as always, thanking God for you, especially in such a time as this...
~Brian

P.S. I have a few personal needs. If God is leading you to do so, send me an email and I will let you know what they are. You can write me at Brian@JerusalemJournal.net.
