The Hebrew Bible is translated into Greek and then again into countless other languages. Inconvenient verses are edited, and the accurate translations supplanted. The Temple of Solomon is rebuilt in Rome. And the covenant with Abraham and his descendants, manifested in the land promised to them, is spread to the four corners of the earth.”
