FAITH NATION: Lila Rose Reveals New Exposé on Planned Parenthood
06-07-2018
CBN News Crystal Woodall
Live Action has released a bombshell investigative report that accuses Planned Parenthood of a
decades-long track record of helping child sex abusers hide their nefarious deeds.

The abortion giant has fired back, saying the report draws on "discredited evidence," Politico reports.

However, a new video, announced last week by Live Action President Lila Rose, debunks that claim.
The footage features four former Planned Parenthood employees confirming the organization's
Planned Parenthood

"When Planned Parenthood calls our report 'discredited,' they are attacking the testimonies of the
very girls who endured horrific abuse and then had it covered up by their own abortion centers,"
Rose charged.

"To be clear, the report includes numerous court cases, multiple news media reports, official
police reports, state health department records, manager testimonials admitting a failure to report,
and statements of underage sex abuse victims saying they were returned to their abusers after
forced abortions," she continued.

Rose appeared on CBN's "Faith Nation" Thursday to talk more about the Live Action report.

Rose suggested that Planned Parenthood's failure to report these crimes and their subsequent
charges of 'discredited evidence' made them as guilty as the sex offenders themselves.

"Planned Parenthood has said repeatedly that victims of sexual abuse should be believed, yet
when they call these cases that are documented in court records and media accounts 'discredited
evidence,' they are calling the victims liars, just like their abusers did," she said. "At a time when
Planned Parenthood's 'Don't ask, don't tell' policy on sexual abuse continues to put girls in danger
every day, their callous attempt to discredit victims and their stories is especially abhorrent."

FAITH NATION: Packing Heat in the Pews? Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Rev. Rob Schenck Weigh In - CBN News

FAITH NATION: Packing Heat in the Pews? Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Rev. Rob Schenck Weigh In    CBN News Nov. 8, 2017

WASHINGTON - In the aftermath of the church massacre in Sutherland Springs, Texas, evangelical leaders are divided on a big issue: should church members be encouraged to carry guns in churches?
On today's "Faith Nation," Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Rev. Rob Schenck weigh in on whether Christians should bring their guns to Sunday service and how church leaders can shepherd their flocks in a time of fear and uncertainty.
Schenck, of the National Clergy Council, has been in ministry for more than 30 years. He describes himself as a "card-carrying member of the NRA" but cautions pastors to be wise in the aftermath of the mass shootings.
He tells CBN News that since churches often consist of broken people, he believes encouraging a congregation full of people to come to worship armed could do more harm than good. Schenck wants Christians to respect the Second Amendment while honoring the Second Commandment.
Meanwhile, Falwell, president of Liberty University holds that if more trained, moral citizens carried concealed firearms, less casualties would result from these mass shootings due to the intervention of the gun-toting good Samaritans.
He enthusiastically encourages his students and staff, who pass all training and background requirements, to arm themselves while on Liberty University's campus. Falwell maintains that taking guns away from good people won't stop evil people from doing evil things.

AG Jeff Sessions Talks Faith and Religious Freedom on Faith Nation - CBN News

AG Jeff Sessions Talks Faith and Religious Freedom on Faith Nation

10-11-2017 CBN Newse

WASHINGTON –  Attorney General Jeff Sessions appeared Wednesday on CBN’s Faith Nation where he talked about a wide range of topics including religious freedom and his personal faith.
Speaking with David Brody, Sessions said his Justice Department is committed to restoring “traditional” values.
“I think we’ve had a slide over quite a number of years in which courts and advocates and politicians have disrespected the primacy of law,” he said. “That has long term damaging effects for the country and we’re trying to get us back on the traditional view that protects us all in the long run.”
On the topic of faith, Brody asked Sessions how he relies on his Christian beliefs.
“I’ve got to tell you, there have been days in which my faith has meant a tremendous amount to me and how people without it get by, I don’t know,” said Sessions.
For more about his faith and what he had to say about NFL players who protest during the National Anthem, watch the interview at the top of this page.

FAITH NATION: Sean Spicer First Guest as CBN News Debuts 'Faith Nation' on Facebook - CBN News

Sean Spicer First Guest as CBN News Debuts 'Faith Nation' on Facebook
07-18-2017

WATCH OUR DEBUT EPISODE RIGHT HERE:
WASHINGTON – On Wednesday CBN News launched “Faith Nation,” a political Facebook LIVE show, debuting the new program with special guest White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
Hosts David Brody and Jenna Browder asked Spicer questions ranging from health care to his off-camera press briefings – his last on-camera appearance with reporters was in June.
“I think for a lot of folks, they're more interested in getting the clip to put on the internet, to put on their news,” Spicer said. “We're interested in making sure that we communicate with the American people, that we give the press an opportunity to get their questions answered but we're not here to make it a spectacle either.”
As “Faith Nation” was airing, President Trump was hosting Republican senators at the White House for a luncheon to discuss healthcare, something Brody brought up in the interview.
“He's going to make sure that he does everything that he can to get everyone on the same page,” Spicer said. “This lunch is another effort to do just that and if we have to then we'll move forward next week in some way, shape, or form to keep the promise that Republicans have made."
After Spicer’s interview, Brody and Browder also addressed the topics of faith in politics, the decision for President Trump to work closely with family members, and top trending faith stories.
"Faith Nation" will air on Facebook LIVE every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. ET.  CBN's Brody and Browder will focus each week on the top political issues that are significant to Christians, featuring significant audience engagement as viewers will have the opportunity to comment in real time during the live broadcast.
Each weekly show will feature "The District," with David Brody interviewing leading political figures and news makers in Washington, D.C.
It will also include regular segments from CBN News' Amber Strong and Ben Kennedy discussing today's top news stories and their significance to the faith community, man-on-the street interviews with CBN's Juan Garcia, and additional relevant news content from other CBN News reporters, including Caitlin Burke, Abigail Robertson and Jennifer Wishon.
"There are millions of Christians in America whose values are not being echoed by much of the media. CBN's 'Faith Nation' will provide these viewers with a platform to be informed about important stories that are relevant to them, as well as to give them a real voice in the national discussion of those issues," said Gordon Robertson, CEO of the Christian Broadcasting Network.
"'Faith Nation' is designed to tackle two topics we are told to not bring up at the dinner table: faith and politics," said Dana Ritter, CBN News Washington D.C. bureau chief.
"The show concept was hatched out of the idea that people still want to talk about it but are more comfortable discussing those issues on social media," she explained. "We see the need to engage the audience where they already are and Facebook allows us to do that while also giving the audience a voice."
"Faith Nation" is produced by Shoshannah Nunez in the CBN News bureau in Washington, D.C.
