Signs Of The Times? A Plague Of Locusts Hits Mecca And Earth’s Magnetic Pole Is Experiencing A “Sudden Shift” - Michael Snyder

Posted: 11 Jan 2019 Michael Snyder

Really strange things are starting to happen all over the world.  We’ll talk about “the North Pole’s sudden shift” later in this article, but first I want to focus on the very unusual event which just took place in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  A “massive swarm” of thousands upon thousands of black locusts descended upon the holiest site in Islam, and video of this “plague” is understandably causing quite a stir all over social media.  The following comes from the Times Of Israel
massive swarm of locusts plagued Mecca, Saudi Arabia, earlier this week, prompting authorities at Islam’s holiest site to launch a cleaning operation to remove them.
Videos posted to social media showed the insects swarming around cleaners and worshipers in the city’s Grand Mosque, where millions of Muslim pilgrims congregate every year.

And this was not just a temporary phenomenon.  Once the locusts arrived, they didn’t want to leave, and it is being reported that they were “covering the walls of the mosque”
A closer-up view shows them swarming in all directions, over the heads of the cleaners in green uniforms attempting to deal with them.
Another shot shows the insects covering the walls of the mosque as they swarmed across the site.
According to Saudi authorities, it took 22 teams consisting of a total of 138 people to clean up the infestation.

Meanwhile, the behavior of our planet is once again making headlines.  According to scientists, the magnetic North Pole is making a “sudden shift” away from Canada and toward Russia
Deep beneath the Earth’s surface, liquid iron is sloshing around at its core, causing the North Pole to move away from Canada and towards Siberia. This has caused global geomagnetism experts to undergo an urgent update of the World Magnetic Model where it will alter where exactly North Pole is. The next update was not scheduled to happen until 2020, but due to the North Pole’s sudden shift, researchers have to bring it forward.
These days the vast majority of us heavily use GPS to get around, and the rapid movement of the magnetic North Pole is causing serious navigation errors
Precision of where the North Pole is needed for GPS across the globe, and currently is close to exceeding “the acceptable (safe) limit for navigational errors,” the journal Nature reports.
Arnaud Chulliat, a geomagnetist at the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) National Centers for Environmental Information, said: “The error is increasing all the time.
“The fact that the pole is going fast makes this region more prone to large errors.”
In essence, GPS is losing its GPS.

Of course the magnetic North Pole has always been moving a little bit, but in recent years that movement has been greatly accelerating
But the movement of the north magnetic pole has been the object of study since 1831. Initially, it was tracked moving into the Arctic Ocean at a rate of about 15km each year. But, since the mid 1990s, it has picked up speed.
It’s now shifting at a rate of about 55km a year.
At the same time, Earth’s magnetic field has been getting weaker and weaker, and this has many experts deeply concerned that we could soon experience a catastrophic pole flip.  The following comes from one of my previous articles
The Earth’s magnetic field is steadily getting weaker, and scientists are warning that it could soon flip. If that happens, it will be a cataclysmic event beyond anything that we have ever experienced before. Of course most people never even give much thought to the giant magnetic field that surrounds our planet, but without it modern society would simply not be possible. The magnetic field provides protection for the electrical grid which powers our homes, our businesses, our hospitals, our stores, our banks, our computers and our televisions. It is essentially an enormous “force field” that protects our world from solar storms and cosmic radiation. Right now we take that protection for granted, but scientists tell us that Earth’s magnetic field has flipped before, and that it could soon happen again.
Basically, we are talking about an event that would be even worse than a direct hit from a massive electromagnetic pulse from the sun.

If a sudden pole flip happened today, electronic devices all over the world would be crippled, and scientists tell us that we would be facing “trillions of dollars in damage”
According to a team of international scientists, including from the Australian National University (ANU), such an event in the future would increase our planet’s exposure to the Sun’s radiation, and could cause trillions of dollars in damage by decimating power and communications systems across the globe.
We truly live in apocalyptic times, although most people still don’t seem to understand what is happening.

Our planet is changing.  Earlier this week I wrote about the fact that Alaska had been hit by 81 significant earthquakes during the first nine days of 2019.  Large quakes are rattling locations all along the Ring of Fire, once dormant volcanoes are going off like firecrackers all over the globe, and the tsunami that just struck Indonesia once again reminded us of how vulnerable we really are to major natural disasters.

Right now the mainstream media in the United States is keenly focused on the government shutdown, but in the grander scheme of things the shutdown is small potatoes compared to some of the other things that are happening.

2019 has gotten off to a very strange start, and I have a feeling that things are about to get a whole lot stranger.

After Conquering Jerusalem, Jews Will Try to Take Mecca - Israel Today

After Conquering Jerusalem, Jews Will Try to Take Mecca

Sunday, August 28, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
That was the gist of a charge leveled by a senior member of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas’ ruling Fatah faction in protesting the Jerusalem Municipality’s plan to build a cable car to ease access to the Old City.
Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat has openly endorsed the plan, which envisions a cable car stretching from the city’s old train station (which is now a popular pedestrian venue) to the City of David to the Mount of Olives and back to the Lion’s Gate of the Old City.
“I want to bring ten million tourists to these places, but without an infrastructure of trains, cable-cars, a fast train (to Tel Aviv), hotels, et cetera, we will not be able to enjoy this unique experience,” said Barkat. “In order to bring people from around the world, in order to understand who the real boss is in this city, we need to create infrastructure.”
Muslim officials were furious.
Sheikh Ekrima Sa’id Sabri, head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem, called the cable car a “dangerous” provocation and part of a larger effort to “Judaize” the city.
Rafat Alayan, a Fatah representative in Jerusalem, threatened that “the Palestinian people will never” permit the cable car to be built.
Alayan added the hysterical warning that if the cable car were built, the Jews would next attempt a transportation link between Tel Aviv and the Muslim holy city of Mecca.

10 Ways to Pray for Muslims for the Next 5 Days

10 Ways to Pray for Muslims for the Next 5 Days

More than 2 million Muslims began the annual hajj pilgrimage, Tuesday, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The hajj consists of five intense days of ritual and prayer in Islam's holiest city. The pilgrimage to Mecca is among the five main pillars of Islam and must be carried out by every adult Muslim who is physically and financially able, at least once in their lives.

By performing the hajj, pilgrims believe the series of rituals and prayers will erase their past sins. Muslims believe the hajj traces the paths of the Prophets Abraham, Ishmael and Mohammed.

During the hajj, many Christian organizations are encouraging people to pray for the Muslims in Mecca.

Missionary David Garrison told CBN News there are already a huge number of Muslims coming to Christ in the Islamic world.

"There's never been a time of greater conflict between the house of Islam and the West," Garrison said. "And yet, at this very time is when the Holy Spirit is drawing Muslims to faith in Christ. What I hope is simply that brothers and sisters around the world, who recognize the work of the Holy Spirit, would see that this is our moment to be loving and kind and witnessing and praying for Muslims, because God is in fact doing a great work, in our day."

The ministry organization Christar published an article educating Christians on what's taking place each day of the hajj. They have suggested a different prayer for each specific day.

Day One:
Participants wash and put on plain white garments that represent the equality of all pilgrims. They travel to the tent city of Mina, where they spend the night.

1. Pray that the spiritual focus of this time will cause many Muslims to think about what they believe.

2. Ask God to bring believers into the lives of those who take part in the hajj this year.

Day Two:
Pilgrims continue to Arafat, where they stand or sit from noon to sunset, invoking Allah for mercy and seeking forgiveness for sins.

3. Pray that Muslims will experience the true forgiveness that is available through Christ alone.

At sunset, pilgrims leave for Muzdalifah, where they spend the night under the open sky.

4. As many pilgrims stay up all night to pray, ask God to reveal Himself to them.

Day Three:
Pilgrims take part in the "stoning of the devil," throwing seven stones at a wall representing Satan. Muslims believe that Abraham threw stones at the devil to resist the temptation to sacrifice his son Ishmael.

5. Pray that Muslims will be delivered from Satan's lies.

Men shave their heads or cut their hair, while women cut the ends of their hair, as a sign of humility and purity.

6. Pray that many Muslims will understand that true purity is possible only through Christ.

Pilgrims slaughter an acceptable animal or pay to have an animal sacrificed in their name.

7. Pray that many Muslims will understand that Jesus, the true Lamb, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin.

Pilgrims circle the Kaaba (a cube-shaped building at the center of the most sacred mosque in Mecca) seven times, and run or walk seven times through tunnels between the hills of Safa and Marwah.

8. Pray that God would show many pilgrims that works and rituals cannot save them.

Day Four:
Pilgrims "stone the devil" again by throwing stones at each of the three walls. This ritual also symbolizes the repudiation of a person's own "internal despot," or low desires and wishes.

9 Pray that many Muslims will realize that they are unable to turn from sin on their own.

Day Five:
After a final stoning of the walls, pilgrims return to Mecca for a farewell circuit around the Kaaba, and the pilgrimage is over.

10. Ask God to open the eyes of Muslims to see that we are born in sin, and that salvation is a free gift, not something we can obtain by works.

Muslim Goes to Mecca – and Finds Jesus!

Muslim Goes to Mecca

– and Finds Jesus!

Thursday, May 15, 2014 |  Charles Gardner ISRAEL TODAY
A Turkish Muslim who made a pilgrimage to Mecca in a desperate attempt to get his life back on track returned as a Christian to the great astonishment of his family.
Now a pastor, Ali Pektash (pictured) has been addressing a conference in Jerusalem called At the Crossroads, and sees it as part of his mission to help re-unite the sons of Abraham.
Ali, a Kurd, suffered from alcohol addiction when friends persuaded him to make Hajj (pilgrimage) to Islam's holy city. It was in Saudi Arabia, where liquor is banned, and the religious ritual might cure him, they suggested.
When he got there, he cried out to God for help (if indeed He was there) and fell asleep.
Jesus then appeared to him in a dream and touched him, saying: "You believe in me now; leave this place."
After taking a shower next morning, he discovered what he thought was dust on the part of his chest Jesus had touched, but in fact the hair on his chest had turned white in the shape of a hand! At the traditional celebration marking his return from Hajj, he announced to his incredulous family that he had seen Jesus in Mecca and had come back a Christian.
He burst out crying in front of his wife and asked forgiveness for the way he had treated her, clearly demonstrating a dramatic change in his life.
But for three years he had no access to a Bible and it was seven years before he met another Turkish Christian.
He eventually started a church in Ankara, the capital, which he has recently handed over to trusted elders in order to begin a new work in Eastern Turkey, where he was raised.
At the Crossroads, hosted at Christ Church in the heart of Jerusalem's Old City, is aimed at deepening the bonds of reconciliation between Arab Christians and Jewish followers of Jesus and is being attended by delegates from a number of Middle East countries including Iran, Egypt, Cyprus and Jordan.
Speaking in Turkish (translated through headsets for those who needed it), Ali spoke of how Abraham was also his ancestor, and how he saw it as part of his mission to help re-unite the children of Isaac and Ishmael (Abraham's children by different wives).
Illustrating how family division can cause lasting conflict among the children affected, he said it was no different for the descendants of Abraham who continue to be embroiled in much strife and contention with each other.
But now it was time for reconciliation. "We have a very important ministry - to reconcile the world," he said.
But it could only be done through Jesus. "Everybody in Turkey says they believe in God," he said. "But people are persecuting me!"
In a further example of reconciliation, a Palestinian delegate from Hebron (where Abraham is buried) said: "I was one of those who hated the Jews, but Jesus changed my life."
A number of Israeli pastors responded by laying hands on him in prayer and offering words of encouragement.
Speaking for myself, I was profoundly moved when during a communion service the previous night I was surrounded by a Turk, Egyptian, Iranian, Armenian and an Israeli originally from South Africa.
Although there was a language barrier in some cases, we embraced each other without words during the traditional 'peace' greeting that immediately precedes the sharing of bread and wine.
The conference - including worship sessions - is also being held in English, Hebrew and Arabic.
