On July 29, Tim Tebow, now playing for the New York Mets Single-A team, the Columbia Fireflies, was preparing to take home plate to bat at Charlotte Sports Park.

In the stands was one special little fan, 9-year-old Seth Bosch, who has neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that produces tumors on the nerve tissue, according BarStoolSports.com.

Little Seth currently has a tumor behind his eye and has a difficult time playing sports, but he still loves baseball.

So, on the 29th, Seth was excited to see the Fireflies play. But when he saw Tebow standing on deck he was even more excited and hoped to get the famous player’s attention.

Apparently, a time out was called, meaning that Tebow was temporarily out of play and so little Seth ran down to the side of the field and waved to the former NFL quarterback.

Tebow trotted over and quickly shook the boy’s hand through the netting.

It made the little boy’s day and he ran back to his seat with his parents and was very excited that he got to meet and shake Tim Tebow’s hand.

But then the story got better.

Once play resumed, Tebow stepped up to the plate and let loose a three-run home run!

“When Seth came back to his seat, he was crying,” Seth’s mother, Ileanna Bosch, said. “And then Tim hit the homer. I started crying, too. How does that happen? I think God brought Seth and Tim together.”

Seriously, how cool is that?

Don’t let the naysayers talk Tebow down around you, either. In fact, even many sports “reporters” who initially laughed at Tebow’s attempt to become a pro-baseball player are starting to admit that they are wrong.
