Greetings to my family and friends of Love For His People.

While many of us have enjoyed some time off to commemorate Memorial Day here in the USA, I believe the Lord wants to encourage you yet again to fully trust Him for your future, and step out in faith to what He has been calling you to do. He has never stopped working out His plans and purposes for the nations.

The time is short. We don’t have decades to do what the Lord wants us to do now. Please read my message below to find out more.

It’s Time To Let Go   “We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.” John 9:4, NASU   Back in 2010, I was getting a real sense from the Lord that I was to quit my third job with an international ministry. To start our own vineyard. I had been “crying out to the Lord” for many years while laboring in the other vineyards of well-known ministries (24 total years in fact), and yet while I truly appreciated that honor of service, this cry in my heart was to have my own ministry. I know some of you can relate to that. When I got the courage to do so and prayed long and hard for the faith to step out and jump off the cliff, I shared it with my good wife, Laurie, who at that time had already walked with me for 33 years. It had been a long and weary road, moving from Iowa to Illinois, to Michigan, to Florida, and then finally to our home of 26 years now in Charlotte, North Carolina. With four kids being raised as best we knew how we sought Him continually for direction and wisdom. By now the Lord Jesus Christ had taken us to that point of decision. Would we walk in further faith? Would we step out in the courage we really didn’t know fully it would take? Would we believe God for provision and protection, while anticipating lack at some point along the way? The decision was made. As Iceman (Val Kilmer) told Maverick (Tom Cruise) in the latest Tom Cruise movie (May 2022) “Top Gun: Maverick”, “It’s time to let go.” I gave my usual 6-month notice that I was leaving. The time would be July 1, 2010. I was 55 years old at that time when we formed Love For His People ministry. It had encouraged me that Derek Prince was also 55 when he started Derek Prince Ministries, originally known as Derek Prince Publications, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Yes, I always gave a 6-month notice to help those I was departing from staff to find another replacement or prepare in another way for my not being there. In my world, it was the proper thing to do, in integrity and commitment to not ever burn bridges. Ever. Making that decision was not easy, in both the natural and the spiritual realms. Making $70,000 a year, having four weeks’ guaranteed vacation time, fully paid medical insurance, and being the head of a ministry in the USA that was well-established took faith. Oh, how I prayed for more of it. And so did my good wife. But I knew if I was to stay on in that “comfortable” position I would have not walked in faith. I would have disobeyed the Lord. I would have let His best for me and her go on by, to only walk in a mediocre Christian life. I didn’t want that. Neither did He for us. This morning, May 30, 2022, I was texting with someone close to me. In fact, we have known each other for over 63 years. As I was responding to something they wrote, I strongly felt the Lord give me this word for them as a couple. “The Lord continues to set you two up for dynamic leadership in your area. Building on the solid foundation He has laid in your hearts and entire beings over the years. Prepare for more. Free yourselves up from things that others can do so you have more time to do fully what you two have been called to do. The time is short. We all need to focus more fully on leading, directing, and teaching.” The Lord has given me spiritual gifts to share, and as I do those gifts grow in power and accuracy. This was one of those times I felt from the Holy Spirit that it was from Him directly for them. There are some of you whom the Lord has been quietly speaking to you about leaving behind something you have hung onto for years, so He can give you another glass to fill up with new grace, new realms of authority, new adventures, new measures of faith and power that you too have secretly in your heart only dreamed of. But “Guess what?” as my grandson Levi likes to say. Our Lord has MORE for you. But you need to believe, ask for more faith, and step out. Do it. Trust Him to meet all the needs which He certainly can. You may be fearful. You may have doubts, You may not want to step on the “I don’t know where this road will take me” path. But be as Indiana Jones and make that first step onto the unseen to cross over. The Lord is waiting for you to do it. So do it! And as a sidenote. In 2011, my first full year in that walk of faith, my income went from $70,000 a year to $11,000. (Laurie’s $14,000 earned from her part-time job continued.) I have our 2009-2011 federal and state income tax reports to prove it. But you need to also know…the Lord every month and since then had covered our mortgage payment (and our home of 26 years was paid off in full last May 2021), loans on our two cars, food on the table daily… Our God is Faithful. Derek Prince taught me that. That banner, “Our God is Faithful”, still hangs large as ever on the Derek Prince Ministries publications warehouse wall that I put up in 2004. If you sense the Holy Spirit moving in your spirit, and you too have been longing for something more, as my good friend Morris Ruddick loves to write about, then do something about it. Step out in faith. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6, NKJV The time is short. We can’t be fooling around with whether we will obey the Lord or not. This world needs to hear from the Lord in order to walk in His ways. You have been given that opportunity to do so. He is calling you to do so. Do what He has been calling you to do. It’s time to let go. Time and Assurance – Steve Martin

“For everything there is a season, a right time for every intention under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1

The older you get the faster time seems to pass. As a young kid it was just the opposite as the clock clicked too slow past the hour every day. Remember the years when your birthday took forever to get here? Now they come too fast.

Solomon in all his wisdom understood time, and the seasons it brings. As earthly creatures not as yet fully experiencing eternity (though for each of us it started at our conception) how time passes can be fast or slow depending upon how we are looking at the times we are living in.

As Solomon wrote, inspired by the Holy Spirit, “For everything there is a season, a right time for every intention under heaven —  a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to discard, a time to tear and a time to sew, a time to keep silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Complete Jewish Bible

Knowing our times are in His hands (Psalm 66:9), we can be assured that the time we were born was of His doing, and it was the perfect time for us. Some would question that as they have faced difficulties and trials in this life, but ultimately, we will understand. That period of our timeline was set by Him, and will not be changed.

And we can be assured that our appointed time to die will happen when He has decided it is time. Nothing can take us before our time. No Covid. No enemy. No devil from hell.

Believing it or not, the Word of God again says, “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.” Eccl 3:1, NASU

When events arise that would try to bring doubt, unbelief, discouragement, and fear (and they do come for each of us), our bedrock faith in His Word, trusting in His wisdom and timing, will see us through even the most difficult of challenges.

When a loved one passes on, we must trust in His timing.

When an appointment comes unfulfilled, we must trust in His timing.

When a prophetic word seems to never come to pass, we must trust in His timing.

Above all, we must trust in His timing, which is, in reality, trusting in Him, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It amazes me how so often an expectation I longed for and was certain of did not come to pass in the time slot I had planned. What happened, Lord? But then when enough time had gone by, sometimes taking years to come about, and I looked back and then saw His hand in it, I agreed with His wisdom and purpose in “the wait.” Often, He kept us from that which we would rather not have wanted to experience, but at the right time did give us that which was best for us and those others who were affected in His plan and purpose.

Be assured that His timing for you is always best. It is a true statement – Our Father knows best.

Rest assured that as we long for Him and His will, the timing of all things will make sense, give us understanding, and enable us to always say, “Our God is faithful and true.”

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.” Revelation 19:11-12, NASU

On September 21, 2017 (based on the solar Gregorian calendar), Rosh Hashanah began at sundown on the Jewish lunar calendar. That day was the 1st of Tishrei, 5778. I have seen several articles written on the meaning of the new Hebrew year 5778, and find them all very fascinating.

The Lord our God is very, very detailed in all His ways. Just looking at the solar system, the formation of the earth itself, and then the created body that each one of us has - what an amazing Creator He is!  As the Psalms’ verse has been written, our days are numbered. He knows every second of every hour of every day of every year. He knows the numbers.

You and I can rest in the fact that He has His hand on everything, and as we put our continual trust in Him, He will make Himself more fully known and show us just how He has all of our ways He directs us in are certainly in good order.

Being a numbers guy, an accountant by trade, I pay attention to time, clocks, watches and calendars. My home ministry office has a shelf dedicated to clocks! (Just ask my good wife.)

In any given day, I am watching (no pun intended) to see when events happen, what prophetic meaning they have, and what the Lord is saying through them. He is speaking all the time to us through these time-tracking pieces, and we are wise if we discern what He is declaring. Sometimes what He is telling us is very loud and clear – through nature around us. Sometimes He speaks in a mystery, wanting us to search out further that which He is sharing with us.

Prophetic Stories - Signs Along the Way

One aspect of time that I believe is occurring is the acceleration of it as we know it, in this time and space. I wrote in my book “Prophetic Stories - Signs Along the Way” several years ago on how the Holy Spirit spoke to me of that acceleration. Since then, I can see it picking up further speed, as He brings about His purposes in our lives. 

Are you aware of any acceleration in your life?

Here is just one example in my walk I want to tell you about, to demonstrate the acceleration I believe we are living in. It is very simple, but at the same time, I believe it is a demonstration of what the Lord is doing in my life, and in many lives around the world.

In 2010, during the very early days of Love For His People, I started the blog of the same name. In that year I had a total of 24 posts, with less than 500 page views. Wow! I was excited. It then took until December 30, 2014, to reach 500,000 (four years later).

On Sunday, March 27, 2016, the page views total reached 1 million, taking just one year and three months to reach the second mark of 500,000, for a total of five years and three months to reach the million plateau. What was to be noted about this was that it occurred on that special Sunday on the Christian calendar - Resurrection Day! Again, I was excited! 

On January 30, 2017, the blog page views reached 1,500,000. This time it had taken only nine months to reach this level, since the million mark was surpassed. Time and counts were speeding up. The hand of the Lord was upon this.

On September 20, 2017, when the sun had barely gone down in Jerusalem to start the new year, 5778, on Rosh Hashanah (Yom Teruah), the blog page views surpassed the 2,000,000 mark. I was at my accounting job and was able to watch the count every so often to see when it crossed that line. It did so at 2 pm (Charlotte, North Carolina EDT), 9 pm Jerusalem time. That mark had come just eight months later since reaching 1,500,000 before. 

As you can see, I was able to record all of these snapshots of numbers on the website when they had occurred in time.

While it took five years and three months to reach the first million, from 2010 to early 2016, it had taken only one year and six months later on September 20, 2017, the Jewish New Year start at sundown in Jerusalem, to reach the second million mark. 

To some, this may seem trite, or just some math fan coming up with another numbers game. But to me, it is the Lord again reaffirming His plans that He is working out, faster and faster, as getting the Gospel out to the nations is at the top of His list.

Many are now able to see more quickly what is happening, primarily through the Internet, using smart phones and all mobile devices as soon as it happens, almost anywhere in the world. That in itself is a fulfillment of prophecy.

This increasingly fast-moving time-line of the Lord is being fulfilled just as He had Daniel record these Scriptural words centuries ago.

“When that time comes, Mikha’el, the great prince who champions your people, will stand up; and there will be a time of distress unparalleled between the time they became a nation and that moment. At that time, your people will be delivered, everyone whose name is found written in the book. Many of those sleeping in the dust of the earth will awaken, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and abhorrence. 

But those who can discern will shine like the brightness of heaven’s dome, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

“But you, Dani’el, keep these words secret, and seal up the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there as knowledge increases." (emphasis added, Daniel 12:1-4, Complete Jewish Bible)

I trust you are watching and waiting, but also sharing at the same time the Good News to those who believers needing the encouragement found in this hope, and to those who need to know the Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach.
