From Captivity to Liberty ✡ "Arise, Shake Off The Dust" - Israel365

Arise, shake off the dust, Sit on your throne, Yerushalayim!
Loose the bonds from your neck, O captive one, Fair Tzion!

Isaiah 52:2 (The Israel Bible™)

Hear the verse in Hebrew

HEET-na-a-REE me-a-FAR KOO-mee sh'-VEE ye-ru-sha-LAYIM heet-pat-KHEE mos-REE tzav-a-REKH sh-VEE-yah bat TZEE-on

From Captivity to Liberty

In the above verse, the prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah) describes the day when Yerushalayim  (Jerusalem) will be redeemed. Sitting on the ground in the dust is an expression of mourning. In this prophecy, Yeshayahu foretells the People of Israel and the city of Yerushalayim arising and shaking off the dust that has settled on them. This action would indicate that the period of grief and mourning is over and that the Holy City is being restored to her former beauty and splendor. Yerushalayim will then cast off the chains from her neck and once again be free. The Children of Israel who had likewise been held captive for so long, will be released and returned to their ancient homeland.

Israel’s Sucker’s Game on the Gaza Border

By Caroline Glick
It is time for Israel’s leaders, including the IDF, to stop being suckers. Rather than sending more truckloads of cement and food, used to build attack tunnels and feed terrorists, Israel should say it would be fantastic if Britain, and France and Germany and Canada, would give refuge to the suffering Gazans. Israel could facilitate their transit.

Europeans Warn Israel: Trump Won't Be President Forever - Israel Today

Europeans Warn Israel: Trump Won't Be President Forever

Wednesday, May 23, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff
For once, the zeal of Washington's support for Israel seems to match that of the American people. And the Jewish state is basking in the nearly-unquestioned backing of its policies, concerns and claims. So much so that Jerusalem has of late taken a somewhat more aggressive stance toward less cooperate allies.
According to a senior European Union official cited by Hadashot TV, Israel's making a big mistake in that regard.
Israeli government officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have openly lashed out at the EU over its seeming acceptance of the Hamas narrative regarding what's happening on the Gaza border, its refusal to accept Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and its defense of the Iran nuclear deal.
Given that US President Donald Trump has publicly and firmly backed the Israeli position on all these fronts, Netanyahu and his ministers feel comfortable sticking it to Europe in tones they might not otherwise use.
But, warned the EU source, "Trump won't be president forever," and once he leaves the White House, Israel might find itself in a far less enviable position.
"Just like nobody imagined that the Obama legacy would be erased so quickly, it can happen to the other side," said the official. "You shouldn’t disparage Europe. Look at the numbers: We are still your biggest trade partners. You don’t understand that we are under immense public pressure against Israel."

‘Jesus Culture’ Worship Leader Reveals How She Sings the Blues Away - CBN News Alegra Hall

‘Jesus Culture’ Worship Leader Reveals How She Sings the Blues Away
05-22-2018
CBN News Alegra Hall
In an effort to shine the light of God on dark areas of the Christian walk, Jesus Culture frontwoman
Kim Walker-Smith says she battled depression.

The prolific songwriter who is used to singing before thousands at packed stadiums opened up
about her private battles off stage.

In her online bio, the 30-something songstress says her passion is “to see people transformed by
experiencing God’s love” and that’s what happened to the Oregon native as she began to use her
Christian Values

Katy Perry Says the 'Grace of God' Brought Her Through Suicidal Depression

Walker- Smith says despite her fame and notoriety she suffered from post-partum depression after
the birth of her second child.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, she is not alone. They estimate on average 1 in 9
women deal with post-partum and in some states, it is as high as 1 in 5 women.

Some symptoms include excessive crying, feelings of disconnectedness with your newborn baby
and feelings of guilt over your ability to be a good mother.

The good news is that the CDC says the condition “is treatable and most people get better with
treatment.”

Walker-Smith tells The Christian Post her treatment is a time in worship with the Lord adding
that in the lowest of times when we sing to the Lord “God honors that sacrifice.”

In her latest release from her 2017 solo album, Walker-Smith takes the listener through her journey
and ultimate deliverance from depression.

The powerful lyrics from songs like On My Side encourage the listener to know God is fighting
for them.

She sings: In the tragedy, you grieve with me Your comfort is my song In my wandering, You're
still rescuing You will never, never give up

According to The Christian Post, Walker-Smith wants believers to know that during that time of
praise in a hard spot “Fire always falls on the sacrifice. You bring everything that you have to
Jesus and you won't be disappointed, you won't be let down.”
