IS IT GOD OR IS IT SATAN? - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

IS IT GOD OR IS IT SATAN?

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” (Romans 11:22, NKJV)

Judgment or just “Mother Nature”? The hand of God or “global warming”? God or Satan?

Many opinions, many voices, many on both sides trying to tell us what is going on. Who are you to believe? Should you fear the Lord, in reverence and awe, or should you fear the devil, who always attempts to imitate his Creator? Which is it? Or rather, who is it?

As a believer in the Lord Jesus, Yeshua, I must look to the Written Word, the Bible, the Torah, the Tanakh, to find the answers. Even with all the prophetic voices giving what may seem to be conflicting declarations at times, discernment and clarity can be achieved and known. God Himself has spoken, and written it down. We need not be as those who have no understanding. We can, and must, know the will of the Lord and what He is doing in our times. For these are indeed the end of days, the end of this time, the pre-lude to what is yet to come.

How do I know? Because His very Word tells me so. Yes, “the Bible tells me so.”

Who was the one who made the following occur? God or Satan? The answer is written by God Himself, as these historical events happened and were recorded. (Red emphasis mine for emphasis!)

1.      “Then I myself will bring the flood of water over the earth to destroy from under heaven every living thing that breathes; everything on earth will be destroyed. But I will establish my covenant with you; you will come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife and your sons’ wives with you.” Genesis 6:17-18 (Complete Jewish Bible)

2.      “Lot lifted up his eyes and saw all the valley of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere — this was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.” Genesis 13:10 (NASU)

3.      ‘I sent Moshe and Aharon, I inflicted plagues on Egypt in accordance with what I did among them, and afterwards I brought you out.” Joshua 24:5-6 (CJB)

4.       And even the Lord’s servants had His power granted to them: “And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.” 2 Kings 1:10 (KJV)

And the entire Book of Revelation, as Jesus Himself told to John, isn’t a make-believe story or a book of images to allow us to make up our own fascinations and metaphors. It is real, and will really happen.

Talk about watching a reality show – this is the big one.

Many living today will see it, right before their very eyes. It doesn’t take a brain scientist to figure out what the Lord is clearly saying. (It does take a fool to say it is just global warming, or just “the same old same old”.)

Is God a good God? Yes He is! Does God love all of mankind? Yes He does! He sent His Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, to save all who will come to Him, repent, and receive His eternal salvation for their spirit, soul and body.

Will God judge sinners? Yes He will. He cannot and will not allow evil, unrighteousness, death and destruction to continue on forever without judgment. Those who refuse to repent and believe - judgment is coming. It is coming even now upon earth.

These hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, signs in the heavens…ALL are from the Lord, Creator of heaven and earth. They are His attempt to get mankind to come to Him, call on His name, and receive eternal salvation before they face eternal hell, separated forever apart from Him.

The trumpet is being blown. The shofar has sounded. The angels have been released to do their assigned tasks, to help bring in the harvest.

Do not be deceived and think we can go on living, doing our own thing, believing in the lies and deception that the Lord has no say in it. He does. He is clearly speaking - loud and very clear.

And we must do our part in sharing His Good News to all who have ears to hear. Before it is too late.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Steve Martin, Love For His People - "Call on the Name of the Lord" - Arms of Love video message

Steve Martin, Love For His People

"Call on the Name of the Lord"

Sept. 7, 2017

Greetings to you this beautiful day of the Lord,

I am thankful that I can bring you another word of encouragement, which today I am calling "Call on the Name of the Lord". Normally I like to speak a word earlier in the week, but the Lord didn't give me one, and so I didn't. When I was reading Isaiah 55 this morning, I came to verse 6 and heard the Holy Spirit say to me that this was the word for now.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts."

(Isaiah 55:6-9New American Standard Bible (NASB)

My prayer is that today you will spend time with the Lord Jesus, call upon His name, and ask Him what He has planned for you. His Holy SPirit will direct your steps.

Ahava and shalom,

Desperation - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Desperation

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.” (Psalm 34:6, The Message)

The Merriam-Webster dictionary states that desperation is the “loss of hope and surrender to despair.” Loss of hope is a terrible thing. When there is no hope, not much else is left to cling to.

There will certainly come a time when many will reach a point where things get desperate, with no seemingly place to turn, people to call, or even a hopeless prayer to be said. Of course, having no belief in God, with many of these it is happening already.

Those who have no faith, whom have denied the factual proof of the Living God of Israel in their heart, head and history, trusting instead in their deceived mind, may never reach the point of salvation. Instead of giving up the pride that has exalted them to lofty human levels, they continue to lift their fists of anger and hatred to Him Who sits on the throne.

How ironic. They deny Him in every step of their being, and yet demonstrate their despite of the very Creator when something goes terribly wrong in their life, and those around them. Rather than call on the Name of the Lord, Who alone is salvation, they choose to continue down their path of destruction, heading further into the pit of darkness.
This need not be so.

All through Scripture we read where saints of old had to cry out to the Lord, desperate for Him to respond. David on the run from Saul; Job in the middle of his not-so-helpful friends; Paul while being stoned by the religious. Each were to experience those times of desperation, where no human answer was readily available to change the situation they had been brought to.

Yes, we are brought to situations where we have the choice - to call on the Lord and His salvation, or continue to deny His very presence, and reap the consequences that are promised to follow.

The Bible, that book which has remained accurately constant since the days it was put down on stone and paper, is our only hope. For anyone who seeks an answer, needs the truth, and is willing to repent of their own ways, it is THE ANSWER for all who will. For all who will call on the Name of the Lord.

“…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." (Romans 10:9-13, NASU)

If you are reading this, I hope you have already trusted in the Lord Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, to deliver you from your sin and haughty ways. You thus know now that He who delivered you in the beginning will continue to deliver you to the end. He is faithful. He never changes.

For those who have yet to come to the realization point, where nothing else can or has changed your life, having tried all else, this is now the time where you need to make that decision, to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, Savior of the World, and rest in His assurance that no matter what comes your way, He will be there to save you through it. He happened for those saints of old – He will happen for us too.

“Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation abhors,  to the Servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel; and He has chosen You."
(Isaiah 49:7, NKJV)

The One whom the nations abhor, the Redeemer of Israel and those who come to Him, is the faithful One, the Solid Rock on which to stand.

As we see and hear of many in desperate situations, now is the time to stand on the solid rock of His Word, and see Him once again save His people in their time of need. May we also do our part in being His, the Body of Christ, His arm of hope and salvation, and show Him as the answer to those who need Him even more so now.

For those yet to come to the Messiah, the Lion and the Lamb of God, who has already come once and is soon coming again, my prayer is that you will know firmly in your heart that He will come and save you, for no other god or human can do as He alone can and will do for you.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua. The only Name that saves.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

God Is My Salvation - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

God Is My Salvation

Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid.” (Isaiah 12:2, NKJV)

How often have you seen someone start a message from Scripture using a verse or two out of Lamentations?! Have you ever read Lamentations recently? Well, neither have I, until this morning.

During my daily reading of the Word of God, this month in Isaiah, I was reading chapter 12. Not only are those verses, from the Jewish prophet of the Living God of Israel, promises made to the chosen ones for that day, but also for us today who call upon the name of the Lord Yeshua. And that is why I was then led to Lamentations. I love how the Holy Spirit directs our steps, even in our reading of His eternal Word, the Torah, the Scriptures, the full Bible.

“Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me. This I recall to my mind,
therefore I have hope. The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

"The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him." The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:20-26, NASU)

We had often, back in the day, sang those verses loud and clear, in proclamation mode in fact. “The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

Every morning, every noon, every evening we have the joy and extended call to us…to call on the Name of the Lord. For He is our salvation. He is our hope. He is the lovingkindness demonstrated daily as we put our trust in Jesus, Yeshua, Adonai, Yahweh, Morning Star, the great I AM. He is.

(I love the new song by Paul Wilbur on his latest CD/MP3 Forever Good -  “Call on the Name”. Check it out sometime. I even provided the link for you!)

“Then you will say on that day," I will give thanks to You, O Lord; for although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation."

Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say," Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted." Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 12:1-6, NASU)

What a promise we have, that we can stand on constantly, continually, as we walk the walk, talk the talk, and abide in His presence, whether that be in the secret place every morning during our Bible reading and prayer time, or in the midst of our daily job each of us work at. The Promise holds true - He will be with us, the daily Salvation of our soul.

In a recent youth gathering we started in our home, (primarily age 18 upward) I mentioned that many will have the “worship experience” (new fad name for it?) for an hour or two on Sunday morning, but what happens when the full worship team isn’t with you when the boss is in a foul mood, and you happen to get the brunt of his (or her) wrath on Monday?

Our experience with our Lord needs to be so deep within our soul, engrained within our emotions, that even when we are wrongly treated, falsely accused, or just plain lied about on the “job experience”, that we are still standing firm on His promises we know in our heart to be true - the solid foundation of His Word on which we stand.

The book of Lamentations and the book of Isaiah are to be just as real and impacting in our lives today as they were for those in the “days of old”.

Scripture is eternal. It was for them then, and it is certainly still is for us now. And it will be for the future. Why? Because He is the eternal Word made flesh and dwelt among us.

“The Word became a human being and lived with us, and we saw his Sh’khinah, the Sh’khinah of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, Complete Jewish Bible)

Jesus is the Promise. He is the Word. He is the One who we can trust in, rely on, and know He is with us always – on the Saturday or Sunday morning experience, or on the Monday through Friday ones.

“Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, Complete Jewish Bible)

Keep looking up. Then you will see Him within.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).
