Israel Rejects European Pressure for Palestinian State as Solution for Gaza War; Tsunami Warning Issued after Quake Shakes Parts of Russia, Japan

Israel is rejecting a European push to force a Palestinian state on Israel as a solution to the war in Gaza. After British Prime Minister Keir Starmer warned Tuesday that the U.K. would support a French proposal to recognize a Palestinian state in September if Israel didn't agree to a ceasefire. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar responded, "It ain't gonna happen," insisting there won't be a "jihadist terror state" in the ancient Jewish homeland. President Donald Trump also voiced objections to the Starmer plan. Meanwhile, the entire Arab League and the European Union signed a declaration condemning the October 7th massacre and calling on Hamas to release all 50 Israeli hostages, and for the terror group to end its rule in Gaza. Here's what you need to know.

Israel's military has its hands full, trying to finish off the Hamas terrorist threat in Gaza and free the hostages while satisfying international demands to feed hungry Gazans. The IDF is striking Hamas targets by night and dropping aid supplies by day, even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu angrily rejects charges of deliberate starvation on Israel's part.  Israeli analyst Avi Abelow tells CBN News that Jerusalem is dealing with an "immoral and evil enemy" in Hamas, as well as "immoral and morally confused" Western nations. One of those nations, France, will press for a Palestinian state today at the United Nations.  President Trump says the U.S., Israel, and the West are trying to come up with different plans for Gaza and noted that "things would go very quickly" if Hamas didn't have the hostages, who have now been held in Gaza for 662 days. Here's what you need to know.
