The Hebrew word for riches is 'osher,' spelled with the letter 'ayin' (עושר). The Hebrew word for happiness is also 'osher,' but spelled with the letter 'alef' (אושר). But the two words are not synonymous. Some people mistakenly believe that wealth leads to happiness. The Sages, however, teach the exact opposite. “Who is wealthy? One who is happy with his lot.” When a person is happy and satisfied with the material possessions that he has, no matter what their value is, he is truly wealthy. Bring happiness to the lives of the poor in Israel by joining with Karmey Chesed (Vineyards of Kindness), providing food baskets, used clothing and recycled basic furniture to those in critical need.

Shalom! My name is Luiz Henrique Maroclo Gomes (Yakov Maroclo = Tiago Maroclo). I am writing from Hidrolândia, Goiás - Brazil. Every morning when I open my in-box and read your daily postings my heart is filled with joy and motivation for the day. The images inspire my thoughts for the day and my mind is set in the Word of Hashem. I feel ready for the day. Many times it is just what I am in need to hear. May HaShem (B''H) bless you all for being there every morning. Luiz of Brazil
