Jeremiah, the prophet who warned the Jewish people of the imminent destruction of the Temple, was from the city of Anathoth, a city which was bordered by bustling Jerusalem on one side, and the desert wasteland on the other side. It was as if the prophet's hometown represented the Nation's choice; repent and continue to thrive, or ignore God's word and prepare for a wasteland of exile. Today, there is a community named Anathoth just outside Jerusalem in the area where Jeremiah originally lived. Proof that the bible is alive in modern Israel!

“I Appreciate and Love the Pictures and the Scriptures”
It’s great to hear from you and make new friends from all over the world. Please send mean email and let me know how you are enjoying Jerusalem365 (don’t forget to say where you are from!).
Shalom Rabbi Tuly! Thank you for Jerusalem365. I appreciate and love the pictures and the Scriptures that go with them; and the music and stories. I am a Christian from Australia who absolutely loves Israel and her people! I have been blessed to have travelled to Israel four times, and would so love to visit again! I pray for Israel every day. I speak out for Israel and have taught about Israel to many. I support an orphanage in Israel and when I can, others as well. Once again, yes, I enjoy Jerusalem365 very much and I pray the Lord bless you and your ministry as you serve Him Who is to be Worshipped, loved and obeyed! Blessings in His Name, Julie Cornish |
