What's Your Hebrew Name? ✡ "He Counts the Number of Stars" - ISRAEL365

He counts the number of stars and
He gives them all their names.

מוֹנֶה מִסְפָּר לַכּוֹכָבִים לְכֻלָּם שֵׁמוֹת יִקְרָא

תהילים קמז:ד

mo-NE mees-PAR la-ko-kha-VEEM le-koo-LAHM shay-MOTE yeek-RA

Shabbat Inspiration

This verse describes God’s interest in every star by giving them names. By extension, God has great interest and involvement with each and every one of us, whom He also relates to, through our given name. According to Jewish tradition, one's name has a deep spiritual dimension, as the chosen name determines a person’s character throughout life. Adorn yourself with the beauty of your Hebrew name with the brand new collection of Hebrew Name Jewelry exclusively on the Israel365 Store.

What is the Significance of the Pomegranate
in the Jewish Tradition?

Although there are Seven Species of fruit native to the Land of Israel, much emphasis has been placed on the pomegranate. Jewish tradition teaches that each individual is filled with kind deeds and good qualities just as a pomegranate is full of seeds. It is not always so easy to access the delicious seeds of the pomegranate. One has to cut through the deep skin and the pith of the pomegranate to get to the edible fruit in the middle. It is the same with the people of the world. On the outside, some people may look rough and tough. On the inside however, they are filled with goodness. The pomegranate reminds us to look past the external of the individual and focus on their internal beauty and kindness. Take the video tour of a beautiful pomegranate grove in Israel.
