Doug Hooley, a self-described “retired Chief Deputy, author, and lifelong seeker of the authentic Jesus,” arrived in Israel without an agenda or guide. He visited the Temple Mount and conducted a study to determine whether an unobtrusive structure, no more than an open pagoda with a roof, might hide an enormous secret: that it, rather than the nearby gold-domed structure, is the true site of David's altar and the Holy of Holies.
