Purim: A Day of Miracles to All! ✡ "Blessed Are You Our God" - ISRAEL365

Blessed are you our God, King of the world, who performed miracles for our ancestors in their days,
and in our days as well.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Today, the city of Jerusalem is rejoicing over the festival of Purim, when the evil Haman of ancient Persia sought to destroy the Jewish people, but the Almighty saved the Jews in a complete turnaround, a true miracle. The month that Haman set aside for grief and mourning was transformed into a month of rejoicing and celebration. Did you know that Purim is celebrated with four specific commandments (mitzvot): the public reading of the Book of Esther; eating a lavish feast; exchanging food packages with friends; and giving charity to the poor. Sadly, for Israel’s 1.7 million citizens living under the poverty line, fulfilling most of these obligations is only a dream. Therefore, Colel Chabad, Israel's oldest continuous charity since 1788, has devoted itself to ensuring that needy Israelis have the opportunity to celebrate Purim with festive joy, just like everyone else.

Join us as Colel Chabad packs small food packages, known as 'Mishloach Manot' in Hebrew, for hundreds of widows and their children in the Holy Land.

All who share in the merriment of the holiday fill with great anticipation at what wonderments God will reap this year on Purim, especially for those who need it most.

The Mystery of the Torah

There is a code in the TORAH, the first five books of the Old Testament. Incredibly, the mathematic Code seems to have information about what is happening today. The TORAH is not a crystal ball but new clues seem to indicate that it was meant for our generation to discover its secrets. Since the first introduction of computers in the 70s, a select group of rabbis and professors have been working to crack the Code.

Today's Israel Photo

Ilan Rosen's photo features the magnificent Gamla in northern Israel. One look at the hump-like shape of the hill is enough to understand why it was called Gamla, which comes from the Hebrew word for camel/ גמל ("gamal").
