Chapter: Jewish Festivals -- The Gates of Jerusalem's Old City -- In Honor of "Jerusalem Day" Posted: 28 May 2014   Sha'arei Hulda, the Double & Triple Gates, now sealed         עומדות, היו רגלינו בשערייך, ירושלים ירושלים הבנויה כעיר שחוברה-לה יחדיו Our feet did stand firm within your gates, O Jerusalem Jerusalem, built up, is like a city that is united - Psalms 122           Israel celebrated "Jerusalem Day" May 28, 2014, commemorating the reuniting of the city of Jerusalem during the 1967 war.  For 19 years, between 1948 and 1967, the city was split between warring Jordanian and Israeli forces.
