Help Rebuild the Temple with Acts of Lovingkindness ✡ "The Heavens Are The Heavens Of Hashem" - ISRAEL365

The heavens are the heavens of Hashem; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.

הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי אָדָם

תהילים קטו:טז

Today's Israel Inspiration

Though the heavens remain under the confines of God, He bestowed the earth to man in order to spread His holy name. Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk explains beautifully: “the land was given to man to raise it up to the lofty level of the heavens.” This is especially true in the Land of Israel. The bible warns that there is a higher standard for one’s behavior in the Land of Israel, as it says in Leviticus 26-28: “Ye therefore shall keep My statutes and Mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations… that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.” Tens of thousands of Holocaust survivors are living in abject poverty and loneliness in Israel. It is our responsibility to help those who suffered so much at the beginning of their lives to live out the end of their days with the knowledge that there are good people, Jews and Christians, in the world who care and remember them.

Did an 18th Century Jewish Scholar Foretell Exact Date of Israel’s Redemption?

The State of Israel is currently celebrating 50 years since the liberation of Jerusalem. While these miraculous events took most Israelis by surprise, there was one Jew who foretold of their occurrence some 200 years ago.

The Benefits of Wearing a Prayer Shawl

The Prayer Shawl is made up of two components; the garment, and the fringes- in Hebrew, tzitzit. The garment which surrounds the worshiper represents God who is constantly surrounding each and every one of us. The fringes hanging off of the garment are composed of a series of 613 knots. These fringes serve as a reminder of the 613 Biblical commandments. For these reasons, wearing a tallit is the ultimate way to heighten your prayer experience and connection to God.

“The Work of Israel365 is So Important”

It’s great to hear from you and make new friends from all over the world. Please send me an email and let me know how you are enjoying Israel365 (don’t forget to say where you are from!).

Dear Friends, Please continue the important work which you do for those who have suffered so much. My late mother, Ruth Dash, a Holocaust survivor, never got over the trauma she endured, for four long years, in Poland. She had to bury her father with her bare hands through the snow! She was an only child and daddy's little girl. I never did meet my grandparents, they both starved to death. To this day, I carry a heavy heart for all who have suffered much the same. They went through hell and back. This is why the work of ISRAEL365 is so important. The remaining few Holocaust survivors need all the help and attention they deserve. Indeed, lets put a smile on their faces. I thank all of you for your selfless assistance. John Dash, Rancho Mirage, USA
