Hope and Promise ✡ "The LORD Of Hosts, Who Dwells On Mount Tzion"- Israel365

Here stand I and the children Hashem has given me as signs and portents in Yisrael from the LORD of Hosts, who dwells on Mount Tzion
Isaiah 8:18 (The Israel Bible™)

Hope and Promise

After describing the impending Assyrian invasion, Isaiah takes steps to ensure that a small number of believes in Hashem's (God's) salvation will remain. He goes so far as to give his children names of hope and promise, as signs that the redemption will come. Isaiah points to the fact that God's presence continues to reside on Mount TzionHashem will never abandon His land or His people. Instead, He remains with His children even while they are in exile, and guarantees that He will redeem them at the right time.

"Dwells in Mount Zion" ✡ So Many Reasons to Love Israel

Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me, shall be for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Our Sages explain that the prophet Isaiah had such a firm belief that God would restore Zion, that he went so far as to give his children names of hope and promise. The Summit Institute instills faith and hope in Israel's foster children, giving them a chance to be part of Israel's future. Sadly, a foster child is officially 'on his own' at age 18, just as he enters the army, but Summit won't give them up that easily and continues to provide mentoring and support.

So Many Reasons to Love Israel

Thousands of "olim" (new immigrants) merit to live the dream of aliyah. This is what they love about living in Israel!

Controversial Messianic Activity

Jerusalem prides itself on being a center of business activity in the Start Up Nation, but one upcoming investor conference is causing a stir in the Holy City.

Today's Israel Photo

Elad Matityahu's photo captures the joy of Jerusalem Day at the Western Wall, celebrating the miraculous reunification of the Holy City after the Six Day War. This meaningful day is coming up soon onMay 17.

Yesterday's Photo Trivia

Yesterday's photo by Daniel Malkiel featured Jerusalem's Teddy Park and its fabulous sound and light fountain, which sits at the foot of the Old City walls, across the street from Jaffa Gate. The park was named for the city's past mayor, Teddy Kollek, obm, who was legendary for building up modern Jerusalem.

I am blessed in Vero Beach, Florida, USA by your pictures of Israel and devotions. You are in my prayers.- Martha Jean Flynt

Good morning.  I like to keep up with what is going on in Israel.  Your newsletter helps me to do that.  I have never been to Israel, but my heart is there.  Thank you for the pictures and articles.  There are a lot of Christians in the US who love Israel.  Do not be confused by our government.  We do not agree with a lot of what goes on here.  Our prayers are with you.  Todah Rabah, Carol Eggers  Greer, South Carolina USA
