Wild Heart was recorded live at the Cascade Theater in Redding, California. In her fifth solo album, Kim Walker-Smith returns to the place she recorded Still Believe, Consumed (with Jesus Culture), and got married. Wild Heart explores themes of life, beginning again, and returning to our First Love. The title song, Wild Heart, expresses the jubilant love of the Father, running to meet the prodigal child.
Protector is a powerful anthem and declaration of Who God is and His promise to never leave, nor forsake us. Kim’s personal favorite is You’ll Always Be, which is a sweet melody that rides beneath lyrics that take a strong stance on Who God is in her life. Wild Heart was recorded in one night, among a full room of people who traveled from New York, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Washington, Idaho, and other states. This album is a collection of songs and moments that are joyful, raw, honest, and intimate.
LYRICS
I come out of agreement With the lie that You have left me on my own I am not alone I come out of agreement With the worry and the fear I’ve come to know No, they won’t have a hold on me
Protector You never, never, never let me go You said You wouldn’t leave me, and You won’t You’re right by my side Protector I come into agreement With the truth that You are who You say You are I can trust Your heart I come into agreement With what Heaven has declared over my life Cause I know that You fight for me
Protector You never, never, never let me go You said You wouldn’t leave me, and You won’t You’re right by my side Protector You hide me in the shadow of Your wings Your presence is my peace, my covering My song in the night Protector No weapon, no worry will prosper against me No darkness, no evil will tease or torment me All power, dominion to one Name is given My fortress, my freedom, my refuge, my Jesus

Jesus Is Alive - Kim Walker-Smith

Published on Sept. 23, 2013

You breathe Your life into my lungs,
You bring to life these dry bones,
I know that You're alive

You call me one of Your own
In my heart You made Your home
I know that You're alive

I'm coming alive

You call me one of Your own
In my heart You made Your home
I know that You're alive

I'm coming alive
I'm coming alive
I'm coming alive

We will make Him known
Jesus is alive, He's alive
We will shout it out
Jesus is alive, He's alive

To all the dry and weary souls
Take joy, take heart, be filled with hope
I know that He's alive

To all the ones who have no home
Get up and run, we're going home
I know that He's alive

I'm coming alive
I'm coming alive
I'm coming alive

We will make Him known
Jesus is alive, He's alive
We will shout it out
Jesus is alive, He's alive

It may get loud
The grave is empty now
It may get wild
His love is like no other
[x3]

We will make Him known
Jesus is alive, He's alive
We will shout it out
Jesus is alive, He's alive
[x2]
