For there our captors asked us for words of song and our tormentors [asked of us] mirth, "Sing for us of the song of Zion". Jerusalem Inspiration By the rivers of Babylon, the Psalmist reveals the cruelty of the Nation's captors, as they taunt the newly exiled Jerusalemites, asking them to sing songs of Zion.
