Shabbat Inspiration

The Torah does not provide any specific reason for Abraham’s travels. Consequently, Rabbi David Kimchi, a medieval Biblical commentator posits that Abraham continuously travels in order to dwell in the different parts of the land that Hashem gave to him.  By residing in various places, even for short periods of time, Abraham adds his own effort to acquire the breadth and width of the land promised to him.  In this way, Abraham is fulfilling God’s command “walk about the land” (Genesis 13:17). Dear Rabbi Tuly Weisz, it's really a heartwarming to receive news letter coming from you. I enjoyed reading them and it lights up my mind. We are from the Philippines and we always pray for Peace for the Land and People of Israel. Whose people chosen by Adonai to be His set apart people. Right now, we study Torah and we practiced them and obey them. We believed that this the Covenant of God with Israel, a Ketuvah to which Adonai express His Love to man. We are small Torah Community here and we are going to visit the Land of Israel before this year ends. I am so excited seeing the Promised Land. Dennis Harder
Shabbat Shalom,
