"GIVE, GIVE & GIVE AGAIN." Pastor Sunday Abel Oyewale, Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel and wife Margaret

GIVE, GIVE & GIVE AGAIN.
Pastor Sunday Abel Oyewale, Nigeria, West Africa

MEMORISE:

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6:38

READ: Proverbs 3:27-28

"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee."

MESSAGE

These days, many children of God do not pay attention to giving. For many, their experience with false prophets has made them averse to giving, while some are now tired of giving because they have been ignorantly sowing on infertile ground and have not reaped their expected harvest. Have you chosen not to give for one reason or another? Whatever the reason may be, your experience does not change the validity of God’s word. If the word of God is not working for you, you must have gotten something wrong somewhere. Examine your past actions on giving and make appropriate adjustments where required. The question is, how much and how often should you give?

According to Proverbs 3:27-28, we are to help anyone who is in need, just as Jesus taught in the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:29-37). When I was in kindergarten, my teacher taught us a song which says “whosoever you have the power to help is your neighbor; so help him or her”. Furthermore, this Scripture teaches that we should not postpone the good deeds of today until tomorrow. Tomorrow might be too late!

The story was told of a man who delayed to help his younger brother get the medical treatment he needed. When he later made up his mind to help, he took the money to the hospital, only to meet his brother’s lifeless body on the way to the mortuary! His help was late. In other words, giving is time-bound.

Esau is another example of someone who gave belatedly. By the time he brought his father the meal, needed to procure his blessing, someone else had carted the blessing away already.

We must be quick to respond to calls to give, especially when it comes to projects that have to do with God’s kingdom.

Another lesson we should learn from our Bible text is that for as long as you still have anything to give, you must not stop giving. God is telling us today to give, give and give again. The good thing about giving is that the giver can never lack something to give.

Proverbs 11:24 says, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”

Beloved, give, give and give again because you will be adequately rewarded.

Reach out to missionaries in the fields. Find out their needs and give what you can to help the spread of Christ's gospel.

May God bless you as you are reading this message.

In Christ,
Pastor Sunday Abel Oyewale

WALKING WITH GOD - Pastor Abel Oyewale from Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel and wife Margaret from Nigeria

WALKING WITH GOD
Pastor Abel Oyewale
Nigeria, West Africa

"And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Genesis 5:24

Psalm 24:3-4, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully."

Galatians 2:20-21, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

MESSAGE

One of the original plans of God for man is for man to continually have fellowship with Him. This is the reason why He created man to be like Himself. Genesis 1:26 says:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

The Bible further reveals in the second and third chapters of Genesis that after creating man, God fellowshipped with Him until this divine relationship was bungled through sin. Genesis 3:8 says:

“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.”

From this verse of Scripture, it is evident that God came down to take a walk with His beloved image carriers, but sin came and destroyed their fellowship. The interesting thing is that God is still interested in walking with as many as would determine in their hearts to pay the price of godly living, just like He did with Enoch (Genesis 5:24).

So, how can we walk with God? The answer lies in the instruction that God gave Abraham in Genesis 17:1, “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”

We see from this verse that it was God Himself who appeared to Abraham. In other words, we cannot discover God by our personal efforts. You cannot search for the Almighty God through religion; you only discover Him when He reveals Himself to you (Matthew 11:27, John 6:44, John 15:16).

Another lesson is that living a holy life can never be compromised as the condition for walking with God. Immediately God made Himself known to Abraham, He declared holiness as the term on which they could walk together. This is why I am so addicted to the teaching of holiness.

Under the New Testament, to walk with God as a Christian requires experiencing what Paul describes in today's Bible reading, wherein you must allow your old Adamic nature to die on the cross of Jesus Christ. That disobedient heart that yearns for its own way, influenced by the old serpent, must be circumcised to bleed to death while you are infused with the new life that flows in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Then and only then can you have a blessed and successful walk with our Maker.

Be ready for His presence bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

May our good God of Israel bless you and your house in Jesus Christ Name.

Shalom,

Pastor Abel S Oyewale

WHEN YOU NEED HELP - Pastor Abel Oyewale, Nigeria West Africa

Pastor Abel Oyewale, Nigeria West Africa

WHEN YOU NEED HELP

"And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression." Deuteronomy 26:7

Deuteronomy 26:6-9

6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 And he hath brought us into this place and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

MESSAGE

Without question, every man or woman born into this world needs help at one point or the other. Knowing what to do when the need for help arises is a factor that differentiates victors from defeated people. A fellow ends up being defeated and frustrated simply because he or she could not access the help needed to overcome the challenges of life at the appropriate time. I pray that help will come to you speedily this season in Jesus' Name.

Another factor that causes defeat is that some people don't even know when they need help. This is a serious situation. They move in circles on the same spot, thinking that they are making progress. You need to continually examine whether you need help so that you don't end up wasting precious time struggling alone. If God is ministering to you to be a ministry helper, don't hesitate to obey Him.

Another thing you need to do when you suddenly realize that you need help is to know where the help will come from. In today's Bible reading, while under affliction and oppression, the Israelites correctly identified the LORD God of their fathers as the sure source of their help. After you have identified the unfailing source of help, the next thing you must do to secure your needed help is to connect yourself to that source and abide by the principles of that source.

For example, if you have identified God as your surest Source of help, Deuteronomy 28:1-14 should be your guiding principle. You should not allow anything to derail you - not even the world with its technological advancements and 'modern' way of doing things, because many civilizations have come and gone, but God and His principles remain unchanged (Hebrews 13:8). In John 15:4, Jesus Christ told His disciples:

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

Moreover, you must look up to God in prayer for the fulfillment of His promises like Daniel did in Daniel 9:1-3. When you do this, you, you can be sure that the testimony in Psalm 34:5 will become a reality in your life. It says:

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

May God bless you all in Jesus Christ Name. Shalom.

WHAT A GREAT FATHER HE IS! - Pastor Abel Oyewale Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel Oyewale and wife Margaret - Nigeria, West Africa

WHAT A GREAT FATHER HE IS!

The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. Psalm 146:9

Psalm 68:4-10

4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness;

8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance when it was weary.

10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

MESSAGE

The God that we serve is a Father who is always present and is ever ready to help. He is full of love, compassion and mercy for all of His children, and He gives each one of them uninterrupted attention. As the Almighty Father, He is capable of giving us everything that we can ever need. He knows His children even more than they even know themselves - He knows their tomorrow and every single detail about them even before they were born.

No matter how great and good an earthly father is, he will still fall short and fail in some aspects of his children's wellbeing. An earthly father cannot boast of being with his children always. An earthly father cannot boast of knowing his children so well that he knows how to comfort them at all times.

Even when he says he is capable of giving his children everything they ask for, he cannot give then good health, retentive memory, safe journey, and other things that money can't buy. Our heavenly Father is the perfect Father to the fatherless, and He is a Father that other fathers run to in times of trouble. His love for His children immeasurably surpasses the love that an earthly father has for his children. Some people frown when they hear me call God my Daddy.

Well, I don't know about you, but this God is my Daddy. He has shown so much care to me ever since I met Him that I cannot but see Him as my Daddy. He understands me, comforts me, protects me, heals me, corrects me, helps me and carries me. If God has been all these to you, I want you to take a moment, look up to heaven and just say, "Daddy I love You."

Have you been fatherless? Have you been lonely? Has your earthly father been distant and cold? Then you need to experience the loving kindness of Abba Father. To belong to Him, you need to be reborn by Him. His love is enough to wrap you in warmth forevermore. To enter into this special relationship with Him, confess these words:

Dear God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived. Lord, I want to start afresh; come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Make me a new creature in You. Thank You Abba Father for saving me._

You will not miss the Kingdom of God. God bless you all in Jesus Christ Name.

Shalom,
Pastor Abel Oyewale

LOOK UP TO JESUS - Pastor Abel Oyewale Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel and his wife Margaret

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, LOOK UP TO JESUS

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

Hebrews 12:1-3

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds."

MESSAGE

To look to Jesus means to rely on Him for help and to see Him as our example. He is our forerunner who has triumphantly gone through whatever we are passing through now, he knew the purpose of His coming into the world, and He stayed true to that purpose till it was fulfilled. Therefore, in the midst of trials and temptations, you only need to look up to Jesus and walk in the steps that He left for us to follow.

To look to Jesus is to look away from every other thing and focus on him alone. Naturally, when you look up, it becomes impossible to see your surroundings at the same time. For this reason, your focus shifts from your surrounding and settles on the things above alone.

So, to look up to Jesus means that no matter how fierce the storm is raging in your present situation, you must look away from it and fix your gaze only on Jesus Christ. The good thing is that it is only then that solutions will come and peace will be given to calm the raging storm. If you don’t believe me, ask Peter. When he had his eyes set on Jesus, he was walking on the stormy sea, but the moment he looked at his surroundings, he began to sink (Matthew 14:28-31). Matthew 14:30 says:

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

You will not sink in Jesus’ Name.

To look to man is a fruitless effort. A person can only raise you as far as his or her hands can reach, and each person’s reach is limited. Also, someone can be in a position of authority today and be out of it tomorrow and so what happens to you if you have been looking up to that person? In the little time that I have spent on earth, I have come to discover that the only person you can trust totally is God. He is the one who never fails, has no limits and can never be dethroned.

Finally, to look up to Jesus is to focus on our destination and our reward. We are sojourners here on earth, only passing through on our way to our eternal home. If Heaven is your final destination, then it is only wise that you focus on The Way to that destination. The Bible says that He sits at the right hand of God’s throne. That is our finish line, and that is where your gaze should be permanently fixed.

Brothers and sisters, keep your gaze fixed on Jesus, no matter what.

May God bless you all in Jesus Christ's Name.

Shalom
Pastor Abel Oyewale

THE LOVING GOD FOUND NOAH (GENESIS 6:1-12) Pastor Abel Oyewale Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel Oyewale

THE LOVING GOD FOUND NOAH (GENESIS 6:1-12)
Pastor Abel Oyewale  Nigeria, West Africa
March 23, 2018

A. THE WORLD WAS DEPRAVED ( Genesis 6:1-7 )

Though God's eyes can not behold evil, yet, in the midst of wickedness, His eyes can, and do spot the righteous. If we keep ourselves for God. He would identify with us and favour us in this world of wickedness.

"Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the heart, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

One may wonder why God would allow man to continue to multiply on the face of the earth fulfillmentnt of His earlier blessing, despite man's fall.and waywardness. God's love truly in action.

This increased tempo of man's wickedness notwithstanding, God's eternal redemptive programme has remained intact. His undying love has kept Him intervening .

Most saddening and discouraging is the fact that the Lord saw that the world was now evil - not what He had intended it to be. Yet He still had compassion on the dying man.

God was grieved (filled with pain) that the people He had created and loved became so sinful, and no longer loved Him. The grief here can be compared to that of a father who finds his most beloved son misbehaving, with impunity. I hope you are not still one of those grieving Him today.

This divine decision didn't come from bitterness or hatred against humanity. Rather, God's love wanted to purify the earth and make it more conductive to live in for the righteous.

Christ is our righteousness. In Him we trade our depravity for His restoration and life. Accept His Lordship now.

B.THE LORD SAW NOAH. (Genesis 6:8-12 )

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah had chosen to work with God, a thing that was obviously made possible by God's enablement. God's grace and love equipped him to represent God's righteousness. Are you praying for such a grace?

The grace of God enabled Noah to live differently from others. Grace found him as he deliberately obeyed God.  This was God's love and grace in action.

How can any man walk with God if God does not bring him closer to Himself. God's love located just Noah, bringing him closer to fulfil the essence of God's love.

Be conscious of your new status in Christ and do away with earthly entanglements so as to keep enjoying the love of God.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN JESUS CHRIST NAME.

SHALOM.

ISRAEL: CALLED TO FOLLOW GOD - Pastor Abel Oyewale Nigeria, West Africa

Pastor Abel with the new Israel t-shirt (IDF)
and hat sent from Love For His People

ISRAEL: CALLED TO FOLLOW GOD
Leviticus 26:3-36

Pastor Abel Oyewale  Nigeria, West Africa
Feb. 26, 2018

What you follow is what you hallow, To follow is to take the same route behind another person; take the same course or go in the same direction as something else. It also to watch, observe, or pay close attention to somebody or something. It also means acting in accordance with, or imitate something, especially, with instructions or direction given by somebody else.

A. REWARDS FOR FOLLOWING HIM (Leviticus 26:3-13 )

If you follow my decree and careful to obey My commands. In God's clear instruction to the people on what becomes of the obedient and disobedient man differently, we see an unmistakable call to follow His ways.

He has repeatedly warned them against idolatry as a jealous God. If they should not follow other gods, the implication is that they must follow Him alone - no divided loyalty.

Everything that relates to God must always make sense to us without compromise. You want to always be around the one you love and want to follow. If Christ is your master, you must desire Him wholeheartedly.

As part of the blessings of obedience, God will work among us as our God. He will relate with us, He will lead us, and we must follow Him. Always remembering who He is and what He is capable of doing.

God has never missed words concerning the indispensability of total obedience to His commands as well as the rewards that would follow it. God is faithful. Whatever you sow you shall reap. (Galatians 6:7 )

B. CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEYING HIM ( Leviticus 26: 14-39 )

"But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands, Then  I will do this to you.  (verse 15-
 16.)

No one keeps disobeying his master and still expects to be enjoying his master favour. (Romans 6:1-2)

Failing to follow God's word and way can never please Him. The wages of sin is death and destruction. Examine the gravity of the consequences of disobedience highlighted in verse 16-39, and discover how God takes
deviation from His Law very seriously.

The only way out of God's wrath is repentance.  To regain God's favour and attention in relationship with Him we must terrace our steps back to Him in repentance.  It is then He would remember His covenant with us and restore us fully.

You can not bribe God. Only total obedience to Him can save you from His unbearable judgment.  Do not wait to experience King Saul's fate that was borne out of his disobedient disposition. When we listen and are obedient to His decrees, our lives will be in His true prosperity.

When we refuse to follow God we invite God-monitored calamities and troubles on ourselves.

May God bless you all in Jesus Name.

Shalom.
