What a spectacular discovery! Sometimes we start to think of the stories in the bible as “fairytales” and along comes a genuine artifact which backs up the story we’ve learned.
The fact that archeology can give us a glimpse into ancient history and seems to correspond with much of what we see in the bible does not replace religious belief. It does, however, provide the underpinnings for ideas and beliefs that have existed since the world began.
