Living a Miracle - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Shalom!

As part of the training we give our Bible college students, we arrange several field trips each year to explore the Land of the Bible together, and to build relationships with one another.

Last week we all went to the place where John the Baptist was born - Ein Kerem, and had a guided tour around the village, and the surrounding area. Our Hebrew guide was not a believer, but by the end of the day she had heard all about Messianic Jews and the gospel message!

WORSHIPING THE LORD TOGETHER IN THE HILLS OF JERUSALEM

After a hike with explanations about the history of the area, we ate lunch and gathered to worship God and meditate on his word together for a while. We looked at Zechariah 3:8-9,

"'Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,

You and your companions who sit before you,

For they are a wondrous sign;

For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.

For behold, the stone

That I have laid before Joshua:

Upon the stone are seven eyes.

Behold, I will engrave its inscription,'

Says the Lord of hosts,

'And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day."

What an amazing prophecy! We reflected on Yeshua's title as the Branch, and also the stone, as in the cornerstone that the builders rejected, the Living Stone, the stone that wipes out all worldly empires and establishes his own kingdom, as described in Daniel 2. In the Hebrew language, the word for "stone" is a mixture of the words for "father" and "son", as has been noted by the rabbis in the past ages. And this Stone, this Branch, wiped out our iniquity in a single day. Hallelujah!

We still are pinching ourselves when we think of the privilege it is for us to gather, to read the Word of God in the Hebrew language, Jews and Arabs together, at such a time as this! God has regathered Israel, restored the Hebrew language from the dead, and allowed us to be here and serve in this wonderful time when so many Jews and Arabs are coming to faith in the Messiah, and enjoying fellowship and unity in Him.

Messianics have been in the mainstream media in Israel, on talent spotting show, "The Next Star" (haCochav haBa). Tslil Goldman turned up with a veritable entourage of friends and family, and gave a show-stopping performance that blew the judges away.
