This week we are celebrating the Feast of Sukkot, and enjoying a week of rejoicing and family holiday time! Three times a year, all of Israel had to make the trek to Jerusalem for Passover and Shavuot in the Spring, and then Sukkot in the fall. Sukkot means “shelters”, “booths”, or “tabernacles”.This is a feast in which God instructs his people to make a temporary shelter or booth to camp out in for a week.
Yeshua (Jesus), as a Jewish man, also went to Jerusalem like everyone else for Sukkot. But he brought a whole new meaning to it.
