Many of us might be willing to admit that most of the divine guidance we’ve experienced came to us unconsciously. We get an inclination, a whim to do this or that. As time passes we discovered that what seemed happenstance led to strategic happenings for good. When we backtrack the bunny trails of our most endearing experiences, it’s not unusual to be humbled to find that it was heavenly guidance from within us all along.

The “why” of this is that our new creation nature is united as one with Christ. As it was with him, so it is with us. We’re naturally predisposed to perform productive righteous acts without hearing an inner audible directive that makes us aware that we’re doing so. Great feats most often emerge without the necessity of the spiritual dreams, visions & prophecies that we tend to covet.

A prime example of unconscious guidance is how I became acquainted with Touch of Christ Ministries’ evangelization of Muslims. About 25 years ago, I found a short testimonial pamphlet on the floor of a basement in Maryland. It was the story of Mina Nevisa’s supernatural conversion to Christ.

After reading it, I emailed her saying I’d be happy to write her biography free of charge. She took me up on the offer & 3 months later, ‘Miracle of Miracles’ was published. In 2019, I wrote, ‘Forbidden Miracles’, her aristocrat father’s conversion story as the son of an Iranian Islamic Ayatollah. Here we are thousands upon thousands of book sales later in 3 languages. A movie made from chapters of her father’s life. In addition, my daughter, Sharon, Mark Williams & I have often written TOC’s newsletters for the past 2.5 decades.

And, it all started with curiousity about a trampled soiled short testimony found on a floor. Think of it this way: Refuse to dismiss the routine fleeting thought inclinations that pass through your soul daily. There’s high probalbility that elements of what you tend to think is just you, is actually Him in you.
