Amir Tsfarti - More antisemitism rises up as did centuries ago.

If there is one article you should read today - this is it.

Below is the condensed version, but please click the link and read the full 3,756-word article!

A strange narrative has suddenly appeared across social media, politics, and propaganda outlets: the claim that Jews “worship Baal” and sacrifice children.

Within just six weeks, the idea moved from an obscure OCR error in the Epstein files to livestreams reaching millions, Iranian state rallies burning “Baal” effigies marked with the Star of David, and Russian ideologue Alexander Dugin publishing essays framing the Iran war as a battle against “Baal.”

This narrative is not new. It is simply the oldest antisemitic weapon in Western history - the medieval blood libel, repackaged for the digital age.

For nearly 900 years, the same accusation has preceded waves of violence against Jews:

• 1144 - the blood libel accusation in Norwich, England

• medieval European pogroms

• the Spanish Inquisition

• Russian pogroms

• Nazi propaganda before the Holocaust

The pattern is always the same:

First accuse Jews of demonic practices or child sacrifice.

Then define them as enemies beyond human morality.

Once that happens, coexistence becomes impossible.

Today, that ancient accusation is being revived through a modern ecosystem - social media influencers, propaganda outlets, and geopolitical actors who share the same enemy and amplify the same narrative.

Russia, Iran, and radical online movements may not coordinate directly - but they operate within the same ideological framework, where the West, Israel, and Jews are portrayed as part of a “satanic system.”

It is a reminder that some propaganda techniques never disappear.

They simply wait for a new generation - and new technology.

The narrative may be modern.

The weapon is centuries old.
