Times of Darkness. Coming Light. By Dennis McLeod, New Zealand

Shalom, 

I bring you greetings and blessings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, blessings of such wonderous proportions that are beyond our comprehension.

 We follow a God who looked down from Heaven [Psalm 14:2-3] and found no one righteous. But instead of building another Ark, and destroying the world and every living thing, continued with his original plan. Our God Almighty had too much invested to repeat the flood; besides, He had promised not to repeat such an event again. [Genesis 9:11]

The Lord felt like destroying humanity before and probably would have, for their debauchery and sinning after many warnings, if it had not been for the pleading of Moses. [Exodus 32:11-14]

Now we can sit back and think, what if? Yes, what if He had, there would be this beautiful planet floating through space with what, nothing. Instead, He had mercy, He sent His Son, not to destroy life, but to save it. [John 3:17]

As a result we can enjoy the fruits of His labour given through His promises, as in Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 9:6. As is stated in Zechariah 14:4, He will stand on the Mount of Olives and gather all those who offer Praise to Him and will see the salvation of God. [Psalm 50:23]

We, who have bowed our knee to Him, will inherit the promises. The very promises, I greet you with today, the love that He extended to the world from the shadow of the cross.

The life we have, because of the stone that was rolled away and the promise that came forth via a light brighter than the Sun. [Revelation 21:23 & 22:5] A light, the evil of the world, has tried so hard to extinguish, ever since the beginning of time, but has failed time and again.

Yes, life has times of darkness, but this light always is seen shining within us as no darkness can remove this light from our lives.  [Romans 8:38-39] So, blessings and honour, in the Name of our beautiful Savour, who came, saw, and conquered the grave and death, for us, even though we die, we will live, for all eternity, [John 6:53] because the Man who was hung on the middle cross said we would!
