The IDF: Our Heroes in Green ✡ "A Mighty One" - ISRAEL365

Hashem thy God is in the midst of thee a Mighty One
who will save; He will rejoice over thee with joy He will be silent in His love He will joy over thee with singing.’

Today's Israel Inspiration

Zephania describes in triumphant terms the result of God’s judgement. Having removed evil from the world, He will allow the remnant of Israel to live safely in its land, knowing that God dwells among the People of Israel in the Land of Israel. God Himself will rejoice and sing when He sees His people dwell without fear of evil in the land. Those that merit to live in the Holy Land today know that God appointed a very special group to fulfill His mission of purging Israel of any evil within. Since 1948 when the state was established, the Israel Defense Forces have worked tirelessly to defend Israel's borders and save her people within. Even amid the most horrific battle during the holiest day of the year, the Yom Kippur War, thousands of soldiers left their spot in synagogue to protect the land they love. Today we remember those special men who gave their lives so we could live.

On Yom Kippur it is Inscribed

The cantor and incredible choir of the Israeli Defense Forces sing U’netaneh Tokef, the highlight of Yom Kippur liturgy, which concerns God determining who will die and who will live in the coming year. The moving video is intercut with scenes from the 1973 Yom Kippur War reminding us just how fragile life truly is.

General Avigdor 'Yanush'
Ben-Gal: Our Fearless Leader

In the most difficult days of the Yom Kippur War, when the fate of Israel was hanging in the balance, Yanush and his brave soldiers defended the northern borders with their bodies. Yanush was a gifted military leader with extraordinary inspiration and outstanding courage.

Today's Israel Photo

Pictured is an Israeli Defense Forces tank in the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. The war broken out on October 6 when the Egyptian-Syrian coalition launched a surprise attack on the Jewish state. A short 19 days later, the war mercifully ended. Though the IDF won the war, they lost thousands of men who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Israel.

I love the IDF because they are truly the best army and air force in the world. In my opinion they are the most powerful because they have almighty G-d with them.
G-d speed soldiers. Thank you - Ricky Simmons
