Today's Israel Inspiration

While the Prophet Isaiah uttered many pronouncements of rebuke, he is remembered for his prophecies of consolation and hope. Despite the bleak circumstances of the situation in which Isaiah found himself, Isaiah  always described a brighter future which featured redemption and the Jewish people living peacefully in the Land of Israel.  Many charitable organizations in the Land of Israel function in the efforts to help the children of Israel and bring Isaiah's prophetic vision to fruition. By serving the hungry and helpless of Israel, Meir Panim hopes to rebuild the city of Jerusalem through kindness and righteousness.

Vision of Isaiah at Meir Panim

Israel365 Rabbi Tuly Weisz and family volunteered to serve lunch at Meir Panim's free restaurant-style soup kitchen in honor of daughter Shaindee's Bat Mitzvah with hopes of speeding the ultimate redemption.

A recent Israeli volunteer at a soup kitchen discovered a side of Jerusalem she had never seen when she encountered a world of poverty hidden from public view.

“A Fascination for the Scriptures”

It’s great to hear from you and make new friends from all over the world. Please send me an email and let me know how you are enjoying Israel365 (don’t forget to say where you are from!).

Greetings Rabbi Weisz,bI am writing from Albany, on the south coast of Western Australia. My name is Ruth and although I am a practicing Christian, I have a fascination for the scriptures in the Old Testament, and a great interest in those I regard as God's chosen people. May your people and especially the Faithful in Jerusalem be richly blessed by our amazing God and Father, for the glory of His name.
Shalom,
Rabbi Tuly Weisz
