A Summer of Salvations, Worship, and God's Faithfulness! Grace Dillon, David’s Tent in DC

God is on the Move at David’s Tent Celebrating New Life, Discipleship, and God’s Faithfulness at the Great American State Fair Greetings, family and friends, I am so grateful for the past year and a half being with YWAM DC. The Lord has been incredibly faithful, and I couldn't ask for a better team of prayer and financial partners to journey alongside me as I follow His call to missions! Your prayers, encouragement, and support have made such a difference, and I am thankful for each of you. This summer has been filled with opportunities to witness God's work in powerful ways. From celebrating new life through baptisms, to investing in the next generation through Mission Adventures, to experiencing His faithfulness in my own life, it has been a season full of reminders that God is still moving. I am excited to share a few of the highlights with you and invite you to celebrate what the Lord has been doing. Into the Water Having a baptismal pool at the back of David's Tent was such a special opportunity. During the Great American State Fair, more than 200 people were baptized. Throughout the event, approximately 700 evangelistsgathered through David's Tent and Revival Ministries International to share the gospel in Washington, D.C., and equip others in evangelism. According to event organizers, 329,000 people made decisions to follow Christ during the two-week event. Along the way, we witnessed not only salvations, but also healing, breakthrough, and powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit. It felt like a glimpse of the Great Awakening many have been praying for in our nation as thousands heard the gospel and responded to the love of Jesus.  One of the most memorable stories was a woman who came all the way from Denmark with her friend. She thought she was coming simply to celebrate America, but when she saw the baptismal pool, she shared that she had been searching for peace. After hearing the gospel, she gave her life to Jesus and was baptized. Like the Ethiopian eunuch said to Philip in Acts 8:36, "See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?" There is nothing special about the water itself, but there is something special about the One people encounter through faith and obedience. Time and time again, we watched people encounter Jesus, surrender their lives to Him, and publicly declare their faith through baptism. My family also came up for the Fourth of July, and completely spontaneous we decided to get baptized together, believing God for breakthrough. The Lord met each of us in a personal way, and we came out of the water rejoicing.   A Generation Rising This summer, I had the privilege of helping lead two Mission Adventure teams from South Carolina and Pennsylvania. These students spent a week growing in discipleship, outreach, and worship at David's Tent. I was especially encouraged by the Pennsylvania team. Their transparency, willingness to confess sins to one another, and desire to pray for each other challenged me deeply. God is moving among the young people of our nation, and I pray they will be like Joshua and Caleb—boldly following the Lord and leading others into His goodness.  From Silence to Song I also got to see the Lord work in my own life this summer. I love how God not only uses us to minister to others, but ministers to us in the process. As many of you know, I have been walking through health challenges, especially with my vocal cords, and I had been praying specifically for healing so I could sing. After months of appointments, my voice therapist told me I would likely need surgery because "cysts don't just disappear."  Although I was discouraged, I continued believing God for a miracle. On July 17, my ENT examined my vocal cords and found no trace of the cyst. It was completely gone. Praise God! Thank you to everyone who prayed, encouraged me, and believed with me for healing. I am so grateful for the Lord's faithfulness. There is so many more moments from this summer that I could not fit into this newsletter!   Thank you all so much for your monthly support and one time gifts, faithfully sowing into what God is doing.
