  Cherished by You Lord, is what I long to be;

Your heart of love is vast yet reaches down to me.

If hidden in the desert land or on the waters blue,

Forever will I know of Your presence - faithful true.

Where can I go Lord, for You are always there;

What can come on me that You would not care?

Loves gone lost and friends I once knew,

But promises are kept by Son and Father too.

Lead me on Lord near brook and winding road;

Take me to that place to lay down my heavy load.

Surrounded by the oaks of depth and oh of lofty height.

Place me in Your arms of love; so great but gentle might.
