Written by: Lenny LeBlanc (born June 17, 1951 in Leominster, Massachusetts) is an American musician and songwriter. In 1955 his family moved south to Daytona Beach, Florida. LeBlanc spent his summers on the beach surfing until he met some teens that played guitars. He later landed a job washing dishes to pay for his first bass guitar.
During the next three years of school Lenny played at dances and local clubs around Daytona, developing his vocal talents as well. He graduated from high school in 1969 and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1970. He has currently resided in Florence, Alabama since 1973.
Former band member and good friend Pete Carr had become a very successful producer and studio guitarist in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He encouraged Lenny to join him there. After a few months Lenny began playing bass as well as singing background vocals with artists like Hank Williams Jr., Crystal Gayle, Etta James, Shenandoah, Ricky Skaggs, Sawyer Brown, The Supremes, Joan Baez, Amy Grant, Don Moen and Roy Orbison.

Aug. 6, 2017 Greetings friends of LoveMusic!, and those who will be!
During its annual New Year's Eve conference at Morningstar (Rick Joyner) in Fort Mill, South Carolina, my good wife Laurie and I attended most of the sessions, including the Dec. 31, 2015 evening session. Our primary desire was to hear the music ministry of Jason Upton, in person.
We were not disappointed. He was as real as his CDs we had sounded like he would be.
I believe I first heard Jason at a James Goll Prophetic conference near Nashville, Tennessee over 15 years ago. Having never heard of him before, my first thought was, "Where did James get this guy?" He seemed a bit "unkept" - not your clean cut, dressed for the part worship leader I was familiar with back then. It was very arrogant of me, and I soon had to repent. Listening to his heart, exposed through his worship of the Living God of Israel, I knew this guy wasn't a "cookie-cutter worship leader." Now I am sure glad he wasn't then and isn't now. His love for the Lord through his music is his life lived, out as he follows Him, Jesus Christ.
Now with his many songs in my "Favorite Playlist", my heart is always drawn into the presence of my Lord, the same Living God of Israel, Yeshua (Jesus). As you listen to Jason, may his heart's cry instill a deeper desire to have His heart beat even more within yours.
