Jerusalem Inspiration

Shani Winter was only six months old when she survived a terrorist attack in the center of Tel Aviv in 1997. Her mother, Anat Rosen-Winter, was killed along with two others, and 48 people were injured in the attack. A photograph of a policewoman carrying Shani from the wreckage became widely known and was published in many newspapers. Seventeen years later, Shani enlisted in the IDF, accompanied by the same police officer. This story is one of the countless miracles that intertwine the lives of the the IDF and civilian Israelis everyday.

Yesterday's Photo Trivia

Yesterday's trivia referred to Bezalel, the son of Uri from the tribe of Judah (Exodus 31:1). Bezalel was the primary artisan chosen for the undertaking of building the Tabernacle in the desert, thus it is very fitting that the Jerusalem crafts fair take place in a mall named after this ancient artist.
