As ceasefire talks proceeded into a sixth round in Qatar, Israeli forces pounded Hamas targets in Gaza today. Hamas refuses to release hostages until Israel commits to a permanent troop withdrawal, while Israel won't back down on its core goal of eliminating the Hamas threat. President Trump deflected talk of friction between Israel and the U.S., saying the two nations are fully coordinating and "agree completely" that Hamas cannot pose a threat to Israel. Meanwhile, there are growing concerns that Iran is trying to retrieve uranium from the nuclear facilities that were largely destroyed in the U.S. and Israeli attacks last month.
